Sofonías 2

1 Escudriñáos, y escudriñád, nación no amable.

Come ye togidere, be gaderid, ye folc not worthi to be loued,

2 Antes que el decreto para, y que seáis como el tamo que pasa en un día, antes que venga sobre vosotros la ira del furor de Jehová, antes que venga sobre vosotros el día de la ira de Jehová,

bifore that comaundyng brynge forth as dust passyng dai; bifore that wraththe of strong veniaunce of the Lord come on you, bifor that the dai of his indignacioun come on you.

3 Buscád a Jehová todos los humildes de la tierra, que pusisteis en obra su juicio: buscád justicia, buscád humildad: quizá seréis guardados el día del enojo de Jehová.

Alle myelde men of erthe, seke ye the Lord, whiche han wrouyt the doom of hym; seke ye the iust, seke ye the mylde, if ony maner ye be hid in the dai of strong veniaunce of the Lord.

4 Porque Gaza será desamparada, y Ascalón será asolada: a Azoto en el medio día saquearán, y Accarón será desarraigada.

For Gasa schal be distried, and Ascalon schal be in to desert; thei schulen caste out Azotus in myddai, and Accaron schal be drawun out bi the root.

5 ¡Ay de los que moran a la parte de la mar, de la nación de Queretim! la palabra de Jehová es contra vosotros, Canaán, tierra de Palestinos, que te haré destruir hasta no quedar morador.

Wo to you that dwellen in the litil part of the see, a folc of loste men. The word of the Lord on you, Canaan, the lond of Filisteis, and Y schal distrie thee, so that a dwellere be not;

6 Y será la parte de la mar por moradas de cabañas de pastores, y corrales de ovejas.

and the litil part of the see schal be reste of scheepherdis, and foldis of scheep.

7 Y será la parte para el resto de la casa de Judá, en ellos apacentarán: en las casas de Ascalón dormirán a la noche; porque Jehová su Dios, los visitará, y tornará sus cautivos.

And it schal be a litil part of hym, that schal be left of the hous of Juda, there thei schulen be fed in the housis of Ascalon; at euentid thei schulen reste, for the Lord God of hem schal visite hem, and schal turne awei the caitifte of hem.

8 Yo oí las afrentas de Moab, y los denuestos de los hijos de Ammón con que deshonraron a mi pueblo, y se engrandecieron sobre su término.

Y herde the schenschip of Moab, and blasfemyes of sones of Amon, whiche thei seiden schentfuli to my puple, and thei weren magnefied on the termes of hem.

9 Por tanto, vivo yo, dijo Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel, que Moab será como Sodoma, y los hijos de Ammón como Gomorra, campo de hortigas, y mina de sal, y asolamiento perpetuo: el resto de mi pueblo los saqueará, y el resto de mi gente los heredará.

Therfor Y lyue, seith the Lord of oostis, God of Israel, for Moab schal be as Sodom, and the sones of Amon as Gomorre; drynesse of thornes, and hepis of salt, and desert, til in to withouten ende. The relifs of my puple schulen rauysche hem, the residues of my folc schulen welde hem.

10 Esto les vendrá por su soberbia, porque afrentaron, y se engrandecieron contra el pueblo de Jehová de los ejércitos.

Sotheli this thing schal come to hem for her pride, for thei blasfemeden, and weren magnefied on the puple of the Lord of oostis.

11 Terrible será Jehová contra ellos, porque enflaqueció a todos los dioses de la tierra; y cada uno desde su lugar se inclinará a él, todas las islas de las gentes.

The Lord schal be orible on hem, and he schal make feble alle goddis of erthe; and men of her place schulen worschipe hym, alle the ilis of hethene men.

12 Vosotros también, los de Etiopía, seréis muertos con mi espada.

But and ye, Ethiopiens, schulen be slayn bi my swerd.

13 Y extenderá su mano sobre el aquilón, y destruirá al Asur, y pondrá a Nínive en asolamiento, y en secadal como un desierto.

And he schal stretche forth his hond on the north, and schal leese Assur; and he schal putte the feir citee Nynyue in to wildirnesse, and into with out weie, and as desert.

14 Y rebaños de ganado harán en ella majada, todas las bestias de las naciones: onocrótalo también, y erizo también dormirán en sus umbrales: voz cantará en las ventanas, y asolación será en las puertas, porque su maderación de cedro será descubierta.

And flockis, and alle the beestis of folkis, schulen ligge in the myddil therof; and onacratalus, and irchun schulen dwelle in threshfoldis therof; vois of the syngynge in wyndow, and crow in the lyntil, for Y schal make thinne the strengthe therof.

15 Esta es la ciudad alegre, que estaba confiada: la que decía en su corazón: Yo soy, y no hay más. ¡Cómo fue tornada en asolamiento, en cama de bestias! cualquiera que pasare junto a ella, silbará, meneará su mano.

This is the gloriouse citee dwellynge in trist, which seide in hir herte, Y am, and ther is noon other more withouten me. Hou is it maad vnto desert, a couche of beeste; ech man that schal passe bi it, schal hisse, and schal moue his hond.
