Romanos 6
1 ¿Pues qué diremos? ¿Perseveraremos en el pecado, para que la gracia abunde?
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
2 En ninguna manera. Porque los que somos muertos al pecado, ¿cómo viviremos aun en él?
God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
3 ¿O no sabéis que todos los que somos bautizados en Cristo Jesús, somos bautizados en su muerte?
Know all of you not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
4 Porque somos sepultados juntamente con él en la muerte por el bautismo, para que como Cristo resucitó de los muertos por la gloria del Padre, así también nosotros andemos en novedad de vida.
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5 Porque si fuimos plantados juntamente con él en la semejanza de su muerte, también lo seremos juntamente en la semejanza de su resurrección:
For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
6 Sabiendo esto, que nuestro viejo hombre fue crucificado juntamente con él, para que el cuerpo del pecado sea deshecho, a fin de que no sirvamos más al pecado.
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
7 Porque el que está muerto, justificado es del pecado.
For he that is dead is freed from sin.
8 Y si morimos con Cristo, creemos que también viviremos con él:
Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:
9 Ciertos que Cristo habiendo resucitado de los muertos, ya no muere: la muerte no se enseñoreará más de él.
Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dies no more; death has no more dominion over him.
10 Porque, en cuanto al morir, al pecado murió una vez; mas en cuanto al vivir, para Dios vive.
For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he lives, he lives unto God.
11 Así también vosotros, juzgád que vosotros de cierto estáis muertos al pecado; mas que vivís para Dios en Cristo Jesús Señor nuestro.
Likewise reckon all of you also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
12 No reine pues el pecado en vuestro cuerpo mortal, para que le obedezcáis en sus concupiscencias.
Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that all of you should obey it in the lusts thereof.
13 Ni tampoco presentéis vuestros miembros al pecado como instrumentos de iniquidad: antes presentáos a Dios como vivientes de entre los muertos; y vuestros miembros a Dios como instrumentos de justicia.
Neither yield all of you your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
14 Porque el pecado no se enseñoreará de vosotros; porque no estáis debajo de la ley, sino debajo de la gracia.
For sin shall not have dominion over you: for all of you are not under the law, but under grace.
15 ¿Pues qué? ¿Pecaremos, porque no estamos debajo de la ley, sino debajo de la gracia? En ninguna manera.
What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
16 ¿O no sabéis, que a quien os presentasteis vosotros mismos por siervos para obedecer le, sois siervos de aquel a quien obedecéis, o del pecado para muerte, o de la obediencia para justicia?
Know all of you not, that to whom all of you yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants all of you are to whom all of you obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
17 Gracias a Dios, que fuisteis siervos del pecado; mas habéis obedecido de corazón a la forma de doctrina a la cual habéis sido entregados:
But God be thanked, that all of you were the servants of sin, but all of you have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
18 Y libertados del pecado, sois hechos siervos de la justicia.
Being then made free from sin, all of you became the servants of righteousness.
19 Hablo humanamente a causa de la flaqueza de vuestra carne: que como presentasteis vuestros miembros por siervos de la inmundicia y de la iniquidad para iniquidad; así ahora presentéis vuestros miembros por siervos de la justicia para santidad.
I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as all of you have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.
20 Porque cuando fuisteis siervos del pecado, libres eráis de la justicia.
For when all of you were the servants of sin, all of you were free from righteousness.
21 ¿Qué fruto teníais entonces de aquellas cosas, de las cuales ahora os avergonzáis? porque el fin de ellas es la muerte.
What fruit had all of you then in those things whereof all of you are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.
