Apocalipsis 18
1 Y después de estas cosas ví otro ángel descender del cielo, teniendo grande poder; y la tierra fue alumbrada de su gloria.
AFTER these I saw another angel descending from heaven, having great power; and the earth brightened with his glory.
2 Y clamó con fortaleza en alta voz, diciendo: Caída es, caída es Babilonia la grande, y es hecha habitación de demonios, y guarda de todo espíritu inmundo, y guarda de todas aves sucias, y aborrecibles;
And he cried with a mighty voice, saying, Fallen, fallen hath Babel the Great, and hath become a den of demons, and the keep of every unclean spirit, and the keep of every unclean and abominable bird, and the keep of every unclean and abominable beast of prey.
3 Porque todas las naciones han bebido del vino de la ira de su fornicación, y los reyes de la tierra han fornicado con ella, y los mercaderes de la tierra se han enriquecido de la potencia de sus deleites.
For that of the wine of her rage have all nations drunk; and the kings of the earth have with her committed fornication, and the merchants of the earth from the power of her luxuriance have become rich.
4 Y oí otra voz del cielo, que decía: Salíd de ella, pueblo mío, porque no seáis participantes de sus pecados, y que no recibáis de sus plagas.
And I heard another voice from heaven, saying: COME OUT OF HER, MY PEOPLE, that you be not partakers of her sins, and lest of her plagues you receive.
5 Porque sus pecados han crecido y llegado hasta el cielo, y Dios se ha acordado de sus maldades.
For her sins have reached unto heaven, and Aloha hath remembered her iniquity.
6 Tornádle a dar así como ella os ha dado, y pagádle al doble según sus obras: en el cáliz que ella os dio a beber, dádle a beber doblado.
Deal with her as she hath dealt with you, and double to her according to her works. In the cup which she mingled mingle to her double.
7 Cuanto ella se ha glorificado, y ha vivido en deleites, tanto le dad de tormento y de pesar; porque dice en su corazón: Yo estoy sentada reina, y no soy viuda, y no veré duelo.
How much she hath pleased herself to be wanton, all this give her suffering and sorrow. For she said in her heart, I sit the queen, and am not a widow, and sorrow I see not.
8 Por lo cual en un día vendrán sus plagas, muerte, y llanto, y hambre, y será quemada con fuego; porque fuerte es el Señor Dios que la juzga.
Therefore in one day will come these her plagues, death and sorrow and hunger; and in fire she will burn, for mighty is the Lord God who judgeth her.
9 Y llorarla han, y plañirse han sobre ella los reyes de la tierra, los cuales han fornicado con ella, y han vivido en deleites, cuando ellos vieren el humo de su encendimiento,
And the kings of the earth who with her have committed fornication, and have been wanton, shall weep and lament and wail over her, when they see the smoke of her burning;
10 Estando lejos por el temor de su tormento, diciendo: ¡Ay, ay, de aquella gran ciudad de Babilonia, aquella fuerte ciudad; porque en una hora vino tu juicio!
standing from far, for fear of her torment, saying, Woe, woe, that great city Babel, that mighty city! For in one hour hath come thy judgment.
11 Y los mercaderes de la tierra llorarán y se lamentarán sobre ella; porque ninguno compra más sus mercaderías,
And the merchants of the earth shall be sorrowful over her, because no man buyeth of their burden.
12 La mercadería de oro, y de plata, y de piedras preciosas, y de margaritas, y de tela de lino fino, y de púrpura, y de seda, y de grana, y de toda madera de tuya, y de todo vaso de marfil, y de todo vaso de maderas las mas preciosas, y de bronce, y de hierro, y de mármol;
No more (shall there be in thee) the burden of gold, and of silver and of precious stones, and of pearls; and of fine linen, and of purple, and of silk and scarlet; and of every aromatic wood, and every vessel of elephant's-tooth, and every vessel of wood of great price, and of brass and of iron and of marble;
13 Y canela, y olores, y ungüentos, e incienso, y vino, y aceite, y flor de harina, y trigo, y bestias, y de ovejas, y de caballos, y de carros, y de siervos, y de almas de hombres.
and cinnamon and omomun and perfumes, and ointment and frankincense and wine and oil, and fine meal, and wheat, and cattle, and slaves, and horses and chariots, and bodies and souls of men.
14 Y las frutas del deseo de tu alma se apartaron de ti, y todas las cosas gruesas, y excelentes te han faltado; y de aquí adelante ya no hallarás más estas cosas.
And the fruit of the desire of thy soul hath gone from thee, and all those things which are delicious and brilliant have perished from thee,
15 Los mercaderes de estas cosas que se han enriquecido por ella, se pondrán a lo lejos, por el temor de su tormento, llorando, y lamentando,
and the merchants of these things will find them no more. They who were made rich by her from afar will stand for fear of her torment, and wail and be sorrowful,
16 Y diciendo: ¡Ay, ay de aquella gran ciudad, que estaba vestida de lino fino, y de púrpura, y de grana, y estaba dorada con oro, y adornada de piedras preciosas y de perlas!
saying, Woe, woe, that great city, which was arrayed in fine linen and purple and scarlet, and golded with gold, and (adorned) with precious stones and pearls;
17 Porque en una hora han sido desoladas tantas riquezas. Y todo gobernador, y toda compañía que conversa en las naos, y marineros, y todos los que trabajan en la mar, se estuvieron de lejos;
for in one hour hath been destroyed wealth like this. And every captain and every pilot who navigateth to the place, and the mariners, and all who serve on the sea, stood from afar,
18 Y viendo el humo de su encendimiento, dieron voces, diciendo: ¿Cuál ciudad era semejante a esta grande ciudad?
and cried, while beholding the smoke of her burning, saying, What is like to this great city!
19 Y echaron polvo sobre sus cabezas, y dieron voces, llorando, y lamentando, diciendo: ¡Ay, ay de aquella gran ciudad, en la cual todos los que tenían naos en la mar, se habían enriquecido por razón de su costosa magnificencia! porque en una sola hora ha sido asolada.
And they cast dust upon their heads, and cried, weeping and lamenting, and saying, Woe, woe, that great city, in which were made rich all they who have ships in the sea, from the preciousness of her! For in one hour she becometh desolate!
20 Regocíjate sobre ella, cielo, y vosotros santos apóstoles, y profetas; porque Dios os ha vengado en ella.
Rejoice over her, heaven, and the angels and apostles and prophets, because Aloha hath judged your judgment upon her.
21 Y un fuerte ángel tomó una piedra como una grande muela de molino, y echóla en la mar, diciendo: Con tanto ímpetu será echada Babilonia, aquella gran ciudad; y no será jamás hallada.
And an angel took a stone, as a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with force is cast down Babel the great city, and to be found no more.
22 Y voz de tañedores de arpas, y de músicos, y tañedores de flautas, y de trompeteros, no será más oída en ti; y todo artífice de cualquier oficio que fuere, no será más hallado en ti; y voz de muela no será más oída en ti;
And the voice of harpers, and of musicians, and of singers, and of trumpeters, shall be heard in thee no more. And no artificer, nor art, shall more be found in thee.
23 Y luz de candela no alumbrará más en ti; y voz de esposo, y de esposa no será más oída en ti; porque tus mercaderes eran los magnates de la tierra; porque por tus hechicerías todas las naciones fueron engañadas.
And the light of a lamp shall be seen in thee no more. And the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard in thee no more. For thy merchants were the great ones of the earth; for by thy sorcery were all nations seduced.
24 Y en ella se halló la sangre de profetas, y de santos, y de todos los que han sido matados en la tierra.
And in her was found the blood of prophets and of saints, and of all those who had been killed upon the earth.
