Salmos 71

1 En ti, Jehová, he esperado; no sea yo confundido para siempre.

By David, [a Psalm sung by] the sons of Jonadab, and the first that were taken captive. O Lord, I have hoped in thee: let me never be put to shame.

2 Escápame, y líbrame en tu justicia: inclina a mí tu oído, y sálvame.

In thy righteousness deliver me and rescue me: incline thine ear to me, and save me.

3 Séme por peña de fortaleza donde venga continuamente: mandado has que yo sea salvo, porque tú eres mi roca y mi castillo.

Be to me a protecting God, and a strong hold to save me: for thou art my fortress and my refuge.

4 Dios mío, escápame de la mano del impío, de la mano del perverso y falsario.

Deliver me, O my God, from the hand of the sinner, from the hand of the transgressor and unjust man.

5 Porque tú eres mi esperanza, Señor Jehová: seguridad mía desde mi mocedad.

For thou art my support, O Lord; O Lord, [thou art] my hope from my youth.

6 Por ti he sido sustentado desde el vientre: de las entrañas de mi madre tú fuiste el que me sacaste: de ti ha sido siempre mi alabanza.

On thee have I been stayed from the womb: from the belly of my mother thou art my protector: of thee is my praise continually.

7 Como prodigio he sido a muchos; y tú mi refugio fuerte.

I am become as it were a wonder to many: but thou art [my] strong helper.

8 Sea llena mi boca de tu alabanza, todo el día de tu gloria.

Let my mouth be filled with praise, that I may hymn thy glory, [and] thy majesty all the day.

9 No me deseches en el tiempo de la vejez: cuando mi fuerza se acabare, no me desampares.

Cast me not off at the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength fails.

10 Porque mis enemigos han dicho de mí; y los que asechan mi vida, consultaron juntamente,

For mine enemies have spoken against me; and they that lay wait for my soul have taken counsel together,

11 Diciendo: Dios le ha dejado: perseguíd, y tomádle, porque no hay quien le libre.

saying, God has forsaken him: persecute ye and take him; for there is none to deliver [him].

12 O! Dios, no te alejes de mí: Dios mío, apresúrate para ayudarme.

O God, go not far from me, O my God, draw nigh to my help.

13 Sean avergonzados, perezcan, los adversarios de mi alma: sean cubiertos de vergüenza y de confusión, los que buscan mi mal.

Let those that plot against my soul be ashamed and utterly fail: let those that seek my hurt be clothed with shame and dishonour.

14 Y yo siempre esperaré: y añadiré sobre toda tu alabanza.

But I will hope continually, and will praise thee more and more.

15 Mi boca recontará tu justicia: todo el día tu salud, aunque no sé el número.

My mouth shall declare thy righteousness openly, [and] thy salvation all the day; for I am not acquainted with the affairs [of men].

16 Vendré a las valentías del Señor Jehová: haré memoria de la justicia de ti solo.

I will go on in the might of the Lord: O Lord, I will make mention of thy righteousness only.

17 O! Dios, enseñásteme desde mi mocedad, y hasta ahora: manifestaré tus maravillas.

O God, thou hast taught me from my youth, and until now will I declare thy wonders;

18 Y aun hasta la vejez y las canas: o! Dios, no me desampares: hasta que denuncie tu brazo a la posteridad: tus valentías a todos los que vendrán.

even until I am old and advanced in years. O God, forsake me not; until I shall have declared thine arm to all the generation that is to come:

19 Y tu justicia, o! Dios, hasta lo alto: porque has hecho grandes cosas: o! Dios, ¿quién como tú?

even thy power and thy righteousness, O God, up to the highest [heavens, even] the mighty works which thou has done: O God, who is like to thee?

20 Que me has hecho ver muchas angustias y males: volverás, y darme has vida: y de los abismos de la tierra volverás a levantarme.

What afflictions many and sore hast thou shewed me! yet thou didst turn and quicken me, and broughtest me again from the depths of the earth.

21 Aumentarás mí magnificencia: y volverás a consolarme.

Thou didst multiply thy righteousness, and didst turn and comfort me, and broughtest me again out of the depths of the earth.

22 Asimismo yo te alabaré con instrumento de salterio: tu verdad, o! Dios mío, cantaré a ti en la arpa, o! Santo de Israel.

I will also therefore give thanks to thee, O God, [because of] thy truth, on an instrument of psalmody: I will sing psalms to thee on the harp, O Holy One of Israel.

23 Mis labios cantarán cuando salmeare a ti: y mi alma, a la cual redimiste.

My lips shall rejoice when I sing to thee; and my soul, which thou hast redeemed.

24 Asimismo mi lengua todo el día hablará de tu justicia: por cuanto fueron avergonzados, por cuanto fueron confusos, los que procuraban mi mal.

Moreover also my tongue shall dwell all the day upon thy righteousness; when they shall be ashamed and confounded that seek my hurt.
