Salmos 58

1 ¿Pronunciáis de verdad, o! congregación, justicia? ¿juzgáis rectamente hijos de Adam?

To the chief Musician, Al-taschith, Michtam of David. Do ye indeed speak righteousness, O congregation? do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men?

2 Antes de corazón obráis iniquidades en la tierra: violencia pesáis de vuestras manos.

Yea, in heart ye work wickedness; ye weigh the violence of your hands in the earth.

3 Extrañáronse los impíos desde la matriz: erraron desde el vientre hablando mentira.

The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.

4 Veneno tienen semejante al veneno de la serpiente: como áspide sordo que cierra su oreja.

Their poison [is] like the poison of a serpent: [they are] like the deaf adder [that] stoppeth her ear;

5 Que no oye la voz de los que encantan, del encantador sabio de encantamentos.

Which will not hearken to the voice of charmers, charming never so wisely.

6 O! Dios, quiebra sus dientes en sus bocas: quiebra, o! Jehová, las muelas de los leoncillos.

Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth: break out the great teeth of the young lions, O LORD.

7 Córranse como aguas que se van de suyo: armen sus saetas como si fuesen cortadas;

Let them melt away as waters [which] run continually: [when] he bendeth [his bow to shoot] his arrows, let them be as cut in pieces.

8 Como el caracol que se deslie, vayan: como el abortivo de mujer, no vean el sol.

As a snail [which] melteth, let [every one of them] pass away: [like] the untimely birth of a woman, [that] they may not see the sun.

9 Antes que vuestras ollas sientan el fuego de las espinas; así vivos, así airado los arrebate con tempestad.

Before your pots can feel the thorns, he shall take them away as with a whirlwind, both living, and in [his] wrath.

10 Alegrarse ha el justo, cuando viere la venganza: sus pies lavará en la sangre del impío.

The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.

11 Entonces dirá el hombre: Ciertamente hay fruto para el justo: ciertamente hay Dios que juzga en la tierra.

So that a man shall say, Verily [there is] a reward for the righteous: verily he is a God that judgeth in the earth.
