Salmos 48

1 Grande es Jehová, y digno de ser en grande manera alabado en la ciudad de nuestro Dios, en el monte de su santuario.

A Song; a Psalm of the sons of Korah. Great is the LORD, and highly to be praised, in the city of our God, in his holy mountain.

2 De hermosa situación, el gozo de toda la tierra es el monte de Sión: los lados del aquilón, la ciudad del gran Rey.

Beautiful in elevation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, [on] the sides of the north, the city of the great King.

3 Dios en sus palacios es conocido por refugio.

God hath made himself known in her palaces for a refuge.

4 Porque, he aquí, los reyes de la tierra fueron congregados; pasaron todos.

For, lo, the kings assembled themselves, they passed by together.

5 Ellos vieron, maravilláronse grandemente, fueron asombrados: diéronse priesa.

They saw it, then were they amazed; they were dismayed, they hasted away.

6 Temblor los tomó allí; dolor, como a mujer que pare.

Trembling took hold of them there; pain, as of a woman in travail.

7 Con viento solano quiebras las naves de Társis.

With the east wind thou breakest the ships of Tarshish.

8 Como lo oímos, así lo vimos en la ciudad de Jehová de los ejércitos, en la ciudad de nuestro Dios: Dios la afirmará para siempre. (Selah)

As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the LORD of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it for ever. (Selah)

9 Esperamos, o! Dios, tu misericordia en medio de tu templo.

We have thought on thy lovingkindness, O God, in the midst of thy temple.

10 Conforme a tu nombre, o! Dios, así es tu loor hasta los fines de la tierra: de justicia está llena tu diestra.

As is thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness.

11 Alegrarse ha el monte de Sión: regocijarse han las hijas de Judá por tus juicios.

Let mount Zion be glad, let the daughters of Judah rejoice, because of thy judgments.

12 Rodeád a Sión, y cercádla: contád sus torres.

Walk about Zion, and go round about her: tell the towers thereof.

13 Ponéd vuestro corazón a su antemuro: mirád sus palacios, para que lo contéis a la generación que vendrá.

Mark ye welt her bulwarks, consider her palaces; that ye may tell it to the generation following.

14 Porque este Dios es Dios nuestro eternalmente y para siempre: él nos capitaneará hasta la muerte.

For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide [even] unto death.
