Salmos 12

1 Salva, o! Jehová, porque se acabaron los misericordiosos: porque se han acabado los fieles de entre los hijos de los hombres.

To the chief Musician. Upon Sheminith. A Psalm of David. Save, Jehovah, for the godly man is gone; for the faithful have failed from among the children of men.

2 Mentira habla cada uno con su prójimo con labios lisonjeros: con doblez de corazón, hablan.

They speak falsehood every one with his neighbour: [with] flattering lip, with a double heart, do they speak.

3 Tale Jehová todos los labios lisonjeros: la lengua que habla grandezas.

Jehovah will cut off all flattering lips, the tongue that speaketh proud things,

4 Que dijeron: Por nuestra lengua prevaleceremos: nuestros labios están con nosotros, ¿quién nos es Señor?

Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail, our lips are our own: who [is] lord over us?

5 Por la opresión de los pobres, por el gemido de los menesterosos, ahora me levantaré, dice Jehová: yo pondré en salvo al que el enlaza.

Because of the oppression of the afflicted, because of the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith Jehovah, I will set [him] in safety, at whom they puff.

6 Las palabras de Jehová, palabras limpias: plata refinada en horno de tierra: colada siete veces.

The words of Jehovah are pure words, silver tried in the furnace of earth, purified seven times.

7 Tú, Jehová, los guardarás: guárdalos para siempre de aquesta generación.

Thou, Jehovah, wilt keep them, thou wilt preserve them from this generation for ever.

8 Cercando andan los malos: entretanto las vilezas de los hijos de los hombres son exaltadas.

The wicked walk about on every side, when vileness is exalted among the children of men.
