Números 8

1 Y habló Jehová a Moisés, diciendo:

And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

2 Habla a Aarón, y díle: Cuando encendieres las lámparas, las siete lámparas arderán contra la faz del candelero.

Speak to Aaron and say to him, When you light the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light over against the candlestick.

3 Y Aarón lo hizo así, que encendió contra la faz del candelero sus lámparas, como Jehová lo mandó a Moisés.

And Aaron did so; he lighted the lamps thereof over against the candlestick, as the LORD commanded Moses.

4 Y esta era la hechura del candelero; de oro de martillo: desde su pie hasta sus flores era de martillo, conforme al modelo que Jehová mostró a Moisés, así hizo el candelero.

And this work of the candlestick was of beaten gold, to the shaft thereof, to the flowers thereof, was beaten work: according to the pattern which the LORD had showed Moses, so he made the candlestick.

5 Ítem, Jehová habló a Moisés, diciendo:

And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

6 Toma a los Levitas de entre los hijos de Israel, y expíalos:

Take the Levites from among the children of Israel, and cleanse them.

7 Y hacerles has así para expiarlos: Rocía sobre ellos el agua de la expiación, y haz pasar navaja sobre toda su carne, y lavarán sus vestidos, y serán expiados.

And thus shall you do to them, to cleanse them: Sprinkle water of purifying on them, and let them shave all their flesh, and let them wash their clothes, and so make themselves clean.

8 Y tomarán un novillo hijo de vaca con su presente de flor de harina amasada con aceite: y tomarás otro novillo hijo de vaca, para expiación:

Then let them take a young bullock with his meat offering, even fine flour mingled with oil, and another young bullock shall you take for a sin offering.

9 Y harás llegar los Levitas delante del tabernáculo del testimonio, y juntarás toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel:

And you shall bring the Levites before the tabernacle of the congregation: and you shall gather the whole assembly of the children of Israel together:

10 Y harás llegar los Levitas delante de Jehová; y pondrán los hijos de Israel sus manos sobre los Levitas:

And you shall bring the Levites before the LORD: and the children of Israel shall put their hands on the Levites:

11 Y ofrecerá Aarón los Levitas delante de Jehová en ofrenda de los hijos de Israel, y servirán en el ministerio de Jehová.

And Aaron shall offer the Levites before the LORD for an offering of the children of Israel, that they may execute the service of the LORD.

12 Y los Levitas pondrán sus manos sobre las cabezas de los novillos: Y harás el uno por expiación, y el otro en holocausto a Jehová para expiar los Levitas.

And the Levites shall lay their hands on the heads of the bullocks: and you shall offer the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering, to the LORD, to make an atonement for the Levites.

13 Y harás presentar los Levitas delante de Aarón, y delante de sus hijos, y ofrecerlos has en ofrenda a Jehová.

And you shall set the Levites before Aaron, and before his sons, and offer them for an offering to the LORD.

14 Y apartarás los Levitas de entre los hijos de Israel, y serán míos los Levitas.

Thus shall you separate the Levites from among the children of Israel: and the Levites shall be mine.

15 Y así después vendrán los Levitas a ministrar en el tabernáculo del testimonio, y expiarlos has, y ofrecerlos has en ofrenda.

And after that shall the Levites go in to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation: and you shall cleanse them, and offer them for an offering.

16 Porque dados, dados me son a mí los Levitas de entre los hijos de Israel en lugar de todo aquel que abre matriz; en lugar de los primogénitos de todos los hijos de Israel me los he tomado yo.

For they are wholly given to me from among the children of Israel; instead of such as open every womb, even instead of the firstborn of all the children of Israel, have I taken them to me.

17 Porque mío es todo primogénito en los hijos de Israel, así de hombres como de animales: desde el día que yo herí a todo primogénito en la tierra de Egipto, los santifiqué para mí:

For all the firstborn of the children of Israel are mine, both man and beast: on the day that I smote every firstborn in the land of Egypt I sanctified them for myself.

18 Y he tomado los Levitas en lugar de todos los primogénitos en los hijos de Israel.

And I have taken the Levites for all the firstborn of the children of Israel.

19 Y yo he dado dados los Levitas a Aarón, y a sus hijos de entre los hijos de Israel, para que sirvan el ministerio de los hijos de Israel en el tabernáculo del testimonio, y reconcilien a los hijos de Israel, porque no haya plaga en los hijos de Israel, llegando los hijos de Israel al santuario.

And I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons from among the children of Israel, to do the service of the children of Israel in the tabernacle of the congregation, and to make an atonement for the children of Israel: that there be no plague among the children of Israel, when the children of Israel come near to the sanctuary.

20 E hizo Moisés, y Aarón, y toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel de los Levitas, conforme a todas las cosas que mandó Jehová a Moisés a cerca de los Levitas, así hicieron de ellos los hijos de Israel.

And Moses, and Aaron, and all the congregation of the children of Israel, did to the Levites according to all that the LORD commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did the children of Israel to them.

21 Y los Levitas se expiaron, y lavaron sus vestidos, y Aarón los ofreció en ofrenda delante de Jehová: y Aarón los reconcilió para expiarlos.

And the Levites were purified, and they washed their clothes; and Aaron offered them as an offering before the LORD; and Aaron made an atonement for them to cleanse them.

22 Y así después vinieron los Levitas para servir en su ministerio en el tabernáculo del testimonio delante de Aarón, y delante de sus hijos: de la manera que mandó Jehová a Moisés acerca de los Levitas, así hicieron con ellos.

And after that went the Levites in to do their service in the tabernacle of the congregation before Aaron, and before his sons: as the LORD had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did they to them.

23 Y habló Jehová a Moisés, diciendo:

And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

24 Esto cuanto a los Levitas: De veinte y cinco años y arriba entrarán a hacer su oficio en el servicio del tabernáculo del testimonio:

This is it that belongs to the Levites: from twenty and five years old and upward they shall go in to wait on the service of the tabernacle of the congregation:

25 Mas desde los cincuenta años volverán del oficio de su ministerio, y nunca más servirán:

And from the age of fifty years they shall cease waiting on the service thereof, and shall serve no more:

26 Mas servirán con sus hermanos en el tabernáculo del testimonio para hacer la guarda: mas no servirán en el ministerio. Así harás de los Levitas cuanto a sus oficios.

But shall minister with their brothers in the tabernacle of the congregation, to keep the charge, and shall do no service. Thus shall you do to the Levites touching their charge.
