Marcos 12
1 Y comenzó a hablarles por parábolas: Plantó un hombre una viña, y la cercó con seto, y le hizo un foso, y edificó una torre, y la arrendó a labradores, y se partió lejos.
And he began to speak to them by parables. A [certain] man planted a vineyard, and set a hedge about [it], and digged [a place for] the wine-vat, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country.
2 Y envió un siervo a los labradores, al tiempo, para que tomase de los labradores del fruto de la viña:
And at the season he sent to the husbandmen a servant, that he might receive from the husbandmen of the fruit of the vineyard.
3 Mas ellos tomándo le le hirieron, y le enviaron vacío.
And they caught [him], and beat him and sent [him] away empty.
4 Y volvió a enviarles otro siervo; mas ellos apedreándole, le hirieron en la cabeza, y volvieron a enviar le afrentado.
And again, he sent to them another servant: and at him they cast stones, and wounded [him] in the head, and sent [him] away shamefully handled.
5 Y volvió a enviar otro, y a aquel mataron; y a otros muchos, hiriendo a unos y matando a otros.
And again he sent another; and him they killed, and many others; beating some, and killing some.
6 Teniendo, pues, aun un hijo suyo muy amado, le envió también a ellos el postrero, diciendo: Porque tendrán en reverencia a mi hijo.
Having yet therefore one son, his well-beloved, he sent him also last to them, saying, They will reverence my son.
7 Mas aquellos labradores dijeron entre sí: éste es el heredero, veníd, matémosle, y la heredad será nuestra.
But those husbandmen said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.
8 Y prendiéndole, le mataron, y echaron fuera de la viña.
And they took him, and killed [him], and cast [him] out of the vineyard.
9 ¿Qué, pues, hará el señor de la viña? Vendrá, y destruirá a estos labradores, y dará su viña a otros.
What therefore will the Lord of the vineyard do? he will come and destroy the husbandmen, and will give the vineyard to others.
10 ¿Ni aun esta Escritura habéis leído: La piedra que desecharon los que edificaban, esta es puesta por cabeza de la esquina:
And have ye not read this scripture; The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner:
11 Por el Señor es hecho esto, y es cosa maravillosa en nuestros ojos?
This was the Lord's doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes?
12 Y procuraban prenderle; mas temían a la multitud, porque entendían que decía contra ellos aquella parábola; y dejándole se fueron.
And they sought to lay hold on him, but feared the people; for they knew that he had spoken the parable against them: and they left him, and departed.
13 Y envían a él algunos de los Fariseos y de los Herodianos, para que le tomasen en alguna palabra.
And they sent to him certain of the Pharisees, and of the Herodians, to catch him in [his] words.
14 Y viniendo ellos, le dicen: Maestro, ya sabemos que eres hombre de verdad; y no te cuidas de nadie; porque no miras a la apariencia de hombres, antes con verdad enseñas el camino de Dios. ¿Es lícito dar tributo a César, o no?
And when they had come, they say to him, Master, we know that thou art true, and carest for no man: for thou regardest not the person of men, but teachest the way of God in truth: Is it lawful to give tribute to Cesar, or not?
15 ¿Daremos, o no daremos? Entonces él como entendía la hipocresía de ellos, les dijo: ¿Por qué me tentáis? Traédme un denario para que lo vea.
Shall we give, or shall we not give? But he, knowing their hypocrisy, said to them, Why tempt ye me? bring me a penny, that I may see [it].
16 Y ellos se lo trajeron; y les dice: ¿Cúya es esta imagen, y esta inscripción? Y ellos le dijeron: De César.
And they brought [it]: and he saith to them, Whose [is] this image and superscription? And they said to him, Cesar's.
17 Y respondiendo Jesús, les dijo: Pagád lo que es de César, a César; y lo que es de Dios, a Dios. Y se maravillaron de ello.
And Jesus answering, said to them, Render to Cesar the things that are Cesar's, and to God the things that are God's. And they wondered at him.
18 Entonces vienen a él los Saduceos, que dicen que no hay resurrección, y le preguntaron, diciendo:
Then come to him the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection; and they asked him, saying,
19 Maestro, Moisés nos escribió, que si el hermano de alguno muriese, y dejase mujer, y no dejase hijos, que su hermano tome su mujer, y despierte simiente a su hermano.
Master, Moses wrote to us, If a man's brother shall die, and leave [his] wife, and leave no children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise seed to his brother.
20 Fueron, pues, siete hermanos; y el primero tomó mujer; y muriendo, no dejó simiente.
Now there were seven brothers: and the first took a wife, and dying left no seed.
21 Y la tomó el segundo, y murió; y ni aquel tampoco dejó simiente; y el tercero, de la misma manera.
And the second took her, and died, neither left he any seed: and the third likewise.
22 Y la tomaron los siete; y tampoco dejaron simiente: a la postre murió también la mujer.
And the seven had her, and left no seed: last of all the woman died also.
23 En la resurrección, pues, cuando resucitaren, ¿mujer de cuál de ellos será? porque los siete la tuvieron por mujer.
In the resurrection therefore, when they shall rise, whose wife shall she be of them? for the seven had her for a wife.
24 Entonces respondiendo Jesús, les dice: ¿No erráis por eso, porque no sabéis las Escrituras, ni el poder de Dios?
And Jesus answering, said to them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?
25 Porque cuando resucitarán de los muertos, no se casan, ni se dan en matrimonio; mas son como los ángeles que están en los cielos.
For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels who are in heaven.
26 Y de los muertos que hayan de resucitar, ¿no habéis leído en el libro de Moisés, como le habló Dios en el zarzal, diciendo: Yo soy el Dios de Abraham, y el Dios de Isaac, y el Dios de Jacob?
And concerning the dead that they rise; have ye not read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spoke to him, saying, I [am] the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?
27 No es Dios de muertos, sino Dios de vivos: así que vosotros erráis mucho.
He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err.
28 Y llegándose uno de los escribas, que los había oído disputar, y sabía que les había respondido bien, le preguntó: ¿Cuál es el más principal mandamiento de todos?
And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?
29 Y Jesús le respondió: El más principal mandamiento de todos es: Oye, Israel, el Señor nuestro Dios, el Señor, uno es.
And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments [is], Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord.
30 Amarás pues al Señor tu Dios de todo tu corazón, y de toda tu alma, y de todo tu entendimiento, y de todas tus fuerzas: éste es el más principal mandamiento.
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this [is] the first commandment.
31 Y el segundo es semejante a él: Amarás a tu prójimo, como a ti mismo. No hay otro mandamiento mayor que estos.
And the second [is] like, [namely] this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself: there is no other commandment greater than these.
32 Entonces el escriba le dijo: Bien, Maestro, verdad has dicho, porque uno es Dios, y no hay otro fuera de él;
And the scribe said to him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is no other but he.
33 Y amarle de todo corazón, y de todo entendimiento, y de toda el alma, y de todas las fuerzas, y amar al prójimo como a sí mismo, más es que todos los holocaustos y sacrificios.
And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love [his] neighbor as himself, is more than all whole burnt-offerings and sacrifices.
34 Jesús entonces viendo que había respondido sabiamente, le dijo: No estás lejos del reino de Dios. Y ninguno le osaba ya preguntar.
And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said to him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question.
35 Y respondiendo Jesús decía, enseñando en el templo: ¿Cómo dicen los escribas que el Cristo es hijo de David?
And Jesus answered and said, while he taught in the temple, How say the scribes that Christ is the son of David?
36 Porque el mismo David dijo por el Espíritu Santo: Dijo el Señor a mi Señor: Asiéntate a mi diestra, hasta que ponga tus enemigos por estrado de tus pies.
For David himself said by the Holy Spirit, The LORD said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thy enemies thy footstool.
37 Luego llamándole el mismo David Señor, ¿de dónde pues es su hijo? Y la grande multitud le oía de buena gana.
David therefore himself calleth him Lord, and whence is he [then] his son? and the common people heard him gladly.
38 Y les decía en su doctrina: Guardáos de los escribas, que quieren andar con ropas largas, y aman las salutaciones en las plazas,
And he said to them in his doctrine, Beware of the scribes, who love to go in long clothing, and [love] salutations in the market-places,
39 Y las primeras sillas en las sinagogas, y los primeros asientos en las cenas:
And the chief seats in the synagogues, and the uppermost rooms at feasts:
40 Que devoran las casas de las viudas, y ponen delante que hacen largas oraciones. Estos recibirán mayor condenación.
Who devour widows' houses, and for a pretense make long prayers: these shall receive greater damnation.
41 Y estando sentado Jesús delante del arca de las ofrendas, miraba como el pueblo echaba dinero en el arca; y muchos ricos echaban mucho.
And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much.
42 Y vino una viuda pobre, y echó dos blancas que es un maravedí.
And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing.
43 Entonces llamando a sus discípulos, les dice: De cierto os digo, que esta viuda pobre echó más que todos los que han echado en el arca;
And he called his disciples, and saith to them, Verily I say to you, that this poor widow hath cast in more, than all they who have cast into the treasury.
44 Porque todos ellos han echado de lo que les sobra; mas esta de su pobreza echó todo lo que tenía, todo su sustento.
For all [they] cast in of their abundance: but she of her want cast in all that she had, [even] all her living.
