San Lucas 24
1 Mas el primer día de la semana, muy de mañana vinieron al sepulcro, trayendo las drogas aromáticas que habían aparejado; y algunas otras mujeres con ellas.
But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they came unto the tomb, bringing the spices which they had prepared.
2 Y hallaron la piedra revuelta de la puerta del sepulcro.
And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb.
3 Y entrando no hallaron el cuerpo del Señor Jesús.
And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.
4 Y aconteció, que estando ellas espantadas de esto, he aquí, dos varones que se pararon junto a ellas, vestidos de vestiduras resplandecientes.
And it came to pass, while they were perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in dazzling apparel:
5 Y teniendo ellas miedo, y bajando el rostro a tierra, les dijeron: ¿Por qué buscáis entre los muertos al que vive?
and as they were affrighted and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?
6 No está aquí, sino que ha resucitado: acordáos de como os habló, cuando aun estaba en Galilea,
He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,
7 Diciendo: Es menester que el Hijo del hombre sea entregado en manos de hombres pecadores, y ser crucificado, y resucitar al tercero día.
saying that the Son of man must be delivered up into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.
8 Entonces ellas se acordaron de sus palabras.
And they remembered his words,
9 Y volviendo del sepulcro, dieron nuevas de todas estas cosas a los once, y a todos los demás.
and returned from the tomb, and told all these things to the eleven, and to all the rest.
10 Y eran María Magdalena, y Juana, y María, madre de Santiago, y otras que estaban con ellas, las que decían estas cosas a los apóstoles.
Now they were Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary the [mother] of James: and the other women with them told these things unto the apostles.
11 Mas a ellos les parecían como locura las palabras de ellas; y no las creyeron.
And these words appeared in their sight as idle talk; and they disbelieved them.
12 Y levantándose Pedro, corrió al sepulcro; y como miró dentro, vio solos los lienzos allí echados, y se fue maravillado entre sí de este hecho.
But Peter arose, and ran unto the tomb; and stooping and looking in, he seeth the linen cloths by themselves; and he departed to his home, wondering at that which was come to pass.
13 Y, he aquí, dos de ellos iban el mismo día a una aldea que estaba de Jerusalem sesenta estadios, llamada Emmáus:
And behold, two of them were going that very day to a village named Emmaus, which was threescore furlongs from Jerusalem.
14 E iban hablando entre sí de todas aquellas cosas que habían acaecido.
And they communed with each other of all these things which had happened.
15 Y aconteció, que yendo hablando entre sí, y preguntándose el uno al otro, el mismo Jesús se llegó, e iba con ellos juntamente.
And it came to pass, while they communed and questioned together, that Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.
16 Mas los ojos de ellos eran detenidos, para que no le conociesen.
But their eyes were holden that they should not know him.
17 Y les dijo: ¿Qué pláticas son estas que tratáis entre vosotros andando, y estáis tristes?
And he said unto them, What communications are these that ye have one with another, as ye walk? And they stood still, looking sad.
18 Y respondiendo el uno, que se llamaba Cleófas, le dijo: ¿Tú solo forastero eres en Jerusalem, que no has sabido las cosas que en ella han acontecido estos días?
And one of them, named Cleopas, answering said unto him, Dost thou alone sojourn in Jerusalem and not know the things which are come to pass there in these days?
19 Entonces él les dijo: ¿Qué? Y ellos le dijeron: De Jesús Nazareno, el cual fue varón profeta poderoso en obra y en palabra, delante de Dios y de todo el pueblo:
And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, The things concerning Jesus the Nazarene, who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people:
20 Y como le entregaron los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y nuestros magistrados, a condenación de muerte, y le crucificaron.
and how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him up to be condemned to death, and crucified him.
21 Mas nosotros esperábamos que él era el que había de redimir a Israel; y ahora sobre todo esto, hoy es el tercero día desde que esto ha acontecido.
But we hoped that it was he who should redeem Israel. Yea and besides all this, it is now the third day since these things came to pass.
22 Aunque también unas mujeres de los nuestros nos han espantado, las cuales antes del día fueron al sepulcro;
Moreover certain women of our company amazed us, having been early at the tomb;
23 Y no hallando su cuerpo, vinieron, diciendo que también habían visto visión de ángeles, los cuales dijeron que él vive.
and when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, who said that he was alive.
24 Y fueron algunos de los nuestros al sepulcro, y hallaron ser así como las mujeres habían dicho; mas a él no le vieron.
And certain of them that were with us went to the tomb, and found it even so as the women had said: but him they saw not.
25 Entonces él les dijo: ¡Oh insensatos, y tardos de corazón para creer a todo lo que los profetas han dicho!
And he said unto them, O foolish men, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken!
26 ¿No era menester que Cristo padeciera estas cosas, y que entrara así en su gloria?
Behooved it not the Christ to suffer these things, and to enter into his glory?
27 Y comenzando desde Moisés, y de todos los profetas, les declaraba en todas las Escrituras las cosas tocantes a él.
And beginning from Moses and from all the prophets, he interpreted to them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
28 Y llegaron a la aldea a donde iban; y él hizo como que iba más lejos.
And they drew nigh unto the village, whither they were going: and he made as though he would go further.
29 Mas ellos le detuvieron por fuerza, diciendo: Quédate con nosotros, porque se hace tarde, y está ya declinando el día. Y entró para quedarse con ellos.
And they constrained him, saying, Abide with us; for it is toward evening, and the day is now far spent. And he went in to abide with them.
30 Y aconteció, que estando sentado a la mesa con ellos, tomando el pan, bendijo, y lo rompió, y les dio.
And it came to pass, when he had sat down with them to meat, he took the bread and blessed; and breaking [it] he gave to them.
31 Entonces fueron abiertos los ojos de ellos, y le conocieron; mas él se desapareció de los ojos de ellos.
And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.
32 Y decían el uno al otro: ¿No ardía nuestro corazón en nosotros, mientras nos hablaba en el camino, y cuando nos abría las Escrituras?
And they said one to another, Was not our heart burning within us, while he spake to us in the way, while he opened to us the scriptures?
33 Y levantándose en la misma hora, tornáronse a Jerusalem; y hallaron a los once congregados, y a los que estaban con ellos,
And they rose up that very hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together, and them that were with them,
34 Que decían: Resucitado ha el Señor verdaderamente, y ha aparecido a Simón.
saying, The Lord is risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon.
35 Entonces ellos contaban las cosas que les habían acontecido en el camino; y como había sido conocido de ellos en el romper del pan.
And they rehearsed the things [that happened] in the way, and how he was known of them in the breaking of the bread.
36 Y entre tanto que ellos hablaban estas cosas, Jesús se puso en medio de ellos, y les dijo: Paz a vosotros.
And as they spake these things, he himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace [be] unto you.
37 Entonces ellos espantados y asombrados, pensaban que veían algún espíritu.
But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they beheld a spirit.
38 Mas él les dijo: ¿Por qué estáis turbados, y suben pensamientos a vuestros corazones?
And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and wherefore do questionings arise in your heart?
39 Mirád mis manos y mis píes, que yo mismo soy. Palpád, y ved; que el espíritu ni tiene carne ni huesos, como veis que yo tengo.
See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye behold me having.
40 Y en diciendo esto, les mostró sus manos y sus pies.
And when he had said this, he showed them his hands and his feet.
41 Y no creyéndolo aun ellos de gozo, y maravillados, les dijo: ¿Tenéis aquí algo de comer?
And while they still disbelieved for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here anything to eat?
42 Entonces ellos le presentaron parte de un pez asado, y un panal de miel.
And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish.
43 Lo cual él tomó, y comió delante de ellos:
And he took it, and ate before them.
44 Y les dijo: Estas son las palabras que os hablé estando aun con vosotros: Que era necesario que se cumpliesen todas las cosas que están escritas en la ley de Moisés, y en los profetas, y en los Salmos de mí.
And he said unto them, These are my words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must needs be fulfilled, which are written in the law of Moses, and the prophets, and the psalms, concerning me.
45 Entonces les abrió el entendimiento, para que entendiesen las Escrituras.
Then opened he their mind, that they might understand the scriptures;
46 Y les dijo: Así está escrito, y así fue menester que el Cristo padeciese, y resucitase de los muertos al tercero día;
and he said unto them, Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer, and rise again from the dead the third day;
47 Y que se predicase en su nombre arrepentimiento, y remisión de pecados, en todas las naciones, comenzando de Jerusalem.
and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name unto all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.
48 Y vosotros sois testigos de estas cosas.
Ye are witnesses of these things.
49 Y, he aquí, yo enviaré al prometido de mi Padre sobre vosotros; mas vosotros quedáos en la ciudad de Jerusalem, hasta que seáis investidos de lo alto de poder.
And behold, I send forth the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city, until ye be clothed with power from on high.
50 Y los sacó fuera hasta Betania, y alzando sus manos los bendijo.
And he led them out until [they were] over against Bethany: and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them.
51 Y aconteció, que bendiciéndoles, se fue de ellos, y era llevado arriba al cielo.
And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he parted from them, and was carried up into heaven.
52 Y ellos después de haberle adorado, se volvieron a Jerusalem con gran gozo.
And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy:
53 Y estaban siempre en el templo, alabando y bendiciendo a Dios. Amén.
and were continually in the temple, blessing God.
