San Lucas 21
1 Y mirando, vio a los ricos que echaban sus ofrendas en el arca del tesoro.
And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury.
2 Y vio también a una viuda pobre, que echaba allí dos blancas.
And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites.
3 Y dijo: De verdad os digo, que esta viuda pobre echó más que todos.
And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all:
4 Porque todos estos, de lo que les sobra echaron para las ofrendas de Dios; mas esta de su pobreza echó todo su sustento que tenía.
For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had.
5 Y a unos que decían del templo, que estaba adornado de hermosas piedras y dones, dijo:
And as some spake of the temple, how it was adorned with goodly stones and gifts, he said,
6 De estas cosas que veis, días vendrán, en que no quedará piedra sobre piedra que no sea derribada.
[As for] these things which ye behold, the days will come, in the which there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
7 Y le preguntaron, diciendo: Maestro, ¿cuándo será esto? ¿Y qué señal habrá cuándo estas cosas hayan de comenzar a ser hechas?
And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign [ will there be] when these things shall come to pass?
8 El entonces dijo: Mirád, no seáis engañados; porque vendrán muchos en mi nombre, diciendo: Yo soy el Cristo; y el tiempo está cerca: por tanto no vayáis en pos de ellos.
And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am [Christ]; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.
9 Empero cuando oyereis de guerras y sediciones, no os espantéis; porque es menester que estas cosas acontezcan primero; mas no luego será el fin.
But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end [is] not by and by.
10 Entonces les dijo: Se levantará nación contra nación, y reino contra reino;
Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:
11 Y habrá grandes terremotos en cada lugar, y hambres, y pestilencias; y habrá prodigios, y grandes señales del cielo.
And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.
12 Mas antes de todas estas cosas os echarán mano, y perseguirán, entregándo os a las sinagogas, y a las cárceles, trayéndoos ante los reyes, y a los presidentes, por causa de mi nombre.
But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute [you], delivering [you] up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name’s sake.
13 Y os será esto para testimonio.
And it shall turn to you for a testimony.
14 Ponéd pues en vuestros corazones de no pensar antes como hayáis de responder.
Settle [it] therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer:
15 Porque yo os daré boca y sabiduría, a la cual no podrán resistir, ni contradecir todos los que se os opondrán.
For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.
16 Mas seréis entregados aun por vuestros padres, y hermanos, y parientes, y amigos; y matarán a algunos de vosotros.
And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and [some] of you shall they cause to be put to death.
17 Y seréis aborrecidos de todos, por causa de mi nombre.
And ye shall be hated of all [men] for my name’s sake.
18 Mas un pelo de vuestra cabeza no perecerá.
But there shall not an hair of your head perish.
19 En vuestra paciencia poseéd vuestras almas.
In your patience possess ye your souls.
20 Y cuando viereis a Jerusalem cercada de ejércitos, sabéd entonces que su destrucción ha llegado.
And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.
21 Entonces los que estuvieren en Judea, huyan a los montes; y los que estuvieren en medio de ella, váyanse; y los que en las otras regiones, no entren en ella.
Then let them which are in Judæa flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.
22 Porque estos son días de venganza, para que se cumplan todas las cosas que están escritas.
For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.
23 Mas, ¡ay de las preñadas, y de las que crían en aquellos días! porque habrá apretura grande sobre la tierra, e ira sobre este pueblo.
But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.
24 Y caerán a filo de espada, y serán llevados cautivos por todas las naciones; y Jerusalem será hollada de los Gentiles, hasta que los tiempos de los Gentiles sean cumplidos.
And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
25 Entonces habrá señales en el sol, y en la luna, y en las estrellas; y en la tierra apretura de naciones, con perplejidad; bramando la mar y las ondas;
And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
26 Secándose los hombres a causa del temor, y esperando las cosas que sobrevendrán a la redondez de la tierra; porque las virtudes de los cielos serán conmovidas.
Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
27 Y entonces verán al Hijo del hombre, que vendrá en una nube con poder y grande gloria.
And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
28 Y cuando estas cosas comenzaren a hacerse, mirád, y levantád vuestras cabezas; porque vuestra redención está cerca.
And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
29 Y les dijo también una parábola: Mirád la higuera, y todos los árboles:
And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;
30 Cuando ya brotan, viéndolos, de vosotros mismos entendéis que el verano está ya cerca:
When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.
31 Así también vosotros, cuando viereis hacerse estas cosas, entendéd que está cerca el reino de Dios.
So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.
32 De cierto os digo, que no pasará esta generación, hasta que todo sea hecho.
Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.
33 El cielo y la tierra pasarán, mas mis palabras no pasarán.
Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
34 Y mirád por vosotros, que vuestros corazones no sean cargados de glotonería y embriaguez, y de los cuidados de esta vida, y venga de improviso sobre vosotros aquel día.
And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and [so] that day come upon you unawares.
35 Porque como un lazo vendrá sobre todos los que habitan sobre la haz de toda la tierra.
For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
36 Velád, pues, orando a todo tiempo, que seáis habidos dignos de evitar todas estas cosas que han de venir, y de estar en pie delante del Hijo del hombre.
Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
37 Y enseñaba entre día en el templo; y de noche saliendo, estábase en el monte que se llama de las Olivas.
And in the day time he was teaching in the temple; and at night he went out, and abode in the mount that is called [the mount] of Olives.
38 Y todo el pueblo venía a él por la mañana, para oírle en el templo.
And all the people came early in the morning to him in the temple, for to hear him.
