San Lucas 10
1 Y después de estas cosas, señaló el Señor aun otros setenta, a los cuales envió de dos en dos, delante de su faz a toda ciudad y lugar a donde él había de venir.
And after these things, the Lord did appoint also other seventy, and sent them by twos before his face, to every city and place whither he himself was about to come,
2 Y les decía: La mies a la verdad es mucha, mas los obreros pocos; por tanto rogád al Señor de la mies que envíe obreros a su mies.
then said he unto them, 'The harvest indeed [is] abundant, but the workmen few; beseech ye then the Lord of the harvest, that He may put forth workmen to His harvest.
3 Andád, he aquí, yo os envío como a corderos en medio de lobos.
'Go away; lo, I send you forth as lambs in the midst of wolves;
4 No llevéis bolsa, ni alforja, ni zapatos; y a nadie saludéis en el camino.
carry no bag, no scrip, nor sandals; and salute no one on the way;
5 En cualquier casa donde entrareis, primeramente decíd: Paz sea a esta casa.
and into whatever house ye do enter, first say, Peace to this house;
6 Y si hubiere allí algún hijo de paz, vuestra paz reposará sobre él; y si no, se volverá a vosotros.
and if indeed there may be there the son of peace, rest on it shall your peace; and if not so, upon you it shall turn back.
7 Y posád en aquella misma casa comiendo y bebiendo lo que os dieren; porque el obrero digno es de su salario. No os paséis de casa en casa.
'And in that house remain, eating and drinking the things they have, for worthy [is] the workman of his hire; go not from house to house,
8 Y en cualquier ciudad donde entrareis, y os recibieren, coméd lo que os pusieren delante;
and into whatever city ye enter, and they may receive you, eat the things set before you,
9 Y sanád los enfermos que en ella hubiere, y decídles: Se ha allegado a vosotros el reino de Dios.
and heal the ailing in it, and say to them, The reign of God hath come nigh to you.
10 Mas en cualquier ciudad donde entrareis, y no os recibieren, saliendo por sus calles, decíd:
'And into whatever city ye do enter, and they may not receive you, having gone forth to its broad places, say,
11 Aun el polvo que se nos ha pegado de vuestra ciudad sacudimos contra vosotros: esto empero sabéd que el reino de los cielos se ha allegado a vosotros.
And the dust that hath cleaved to us, from your city, we do wipe off against you, but this know ye, that the reign of God hath come nigh to you;
12 Y os digo, que Sodoma tendrá más remisión aquel día, que aquella ciudad.
and I say to you, that for Sodom in that day it shall be more tolerable than for that city.
13 ¡Ay de ti, Corazín! ¡Ay de ti, Betsaida! que si en Tiro, y en Sidón se hubieran hecho las maravillas que han sido hechas en vosotras, ya días ha, que sentados en cilicio y ceniza, se hubieran arrepentido:
'Woe to thee, Chorazin; woe to thee, Bethsaida; for if in Tyre and Sidon had been done the mighty works that were done in you, long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes, they had reformed;
14 Por tanto Tiro y Sidón tendrán más remisión que vosotras en el juicio.
but for Tyre and Sidon it shall be more tolerable in the judgment than for you.
15 Y tú, Capernaum, que hasta los cielos estás levantada, hasta los infiernos serás abajada. (Hadēs g86)
'And thou, Capernaum, which unto the heaven wast exalted, unto hades thou shalt be brought down. (Hadēs g86)
16 El que a vosotros oye, a mí oye; y el que a vosotros desecha, a mí desecha; y el que a mí desecha, desecha al que me envió.
'He who is hearing you, doth hear me; and he who is putting you away, doth put me away; and he who is putting me away, doth put away Him who sent me.'
17 Y volvieron los setenta con gozo, diciendo: Señor, aun los demonios se nos sujetan por tu nombre.
And the seventy turned back with joy, saying, 'Sir, and the demons are being subjected to us in thy name;'
18 Y les dijo: Yo veía a Satanás, como un rayo, que caía del cielo.
and he said to them, 'I was beholding the Adversary, as lightning from the heaven having fallen;
19 He aquí, yo os doy potestad de hollar sobre las serpientes, y sobre los escorpiones, y sobre toda fuerza del enemigo; y nada os dañará:
lo, I give to you the authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and on all the power of the enemy, and nothing by any means shall hurt you;
20 Empero no os regocijéis de esto, de que los espíritus se os sujeten; mas antes regocijáos de que vuestros nombres están escritos en los cielos.
but, in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subjected to you, but rejoice rather that your names were written in the heavens.'
21 En aquella misma hora Jesús se alegró en espíritu, y dijo: Alábote, oh Padre, Señor del cielo y de la tierra, que escondiste estas cosas a los sabios y entendidos, y las has revelado a los pequeños: así Padre, porque así te agradó.
In that hour was Jesus glad in the Spirit, and said, 'I do confess to thee, Father, Lord of the heaven and of the earth, that Thou didst hide these things from wise men and understanding, and didst reveal them to babes; yes, Father, because so it became good pleasure before Thee.
22 Todas las cosas me son entregadas de mi Padre; y nadie sabe quien sea el Hijo, sino el Padre; ni quien sea el Padre, sino el Hijo, y aquel a quien el Hijo le quisiere revelar.
'All things were delivered up to me by my Father, and no one doth know who the Son is, except the Father, and who the Father is, except the Son, and he to whom the Son may wish to reveal [Him].'
23 Y vuelto particularmente a sus discípulos, dijo: Bienaventurados los ojos que ven lo que vosotros veis;
And having turned unto the disciples, he said, by themselves, 'Happy the eyes that are perceiving what ye perceive;
24 Porque os digo, que muchos profetas y reyes desearon ver lo que vosotros veis, y no lo vieron; y oír lo que oís, y no lo oyeron.
for I say to you, that many prophets and kings did wish to see what ye perceive, and did not see, and to hear what ye hear, and did not hear.'
25 Y he aquí, que un doctor de la ley se levantó tentándole, y diciendo: Maestro, ¿haciendo qué cosa poseeré la vida eterna? (aiōnios g166)
And lo, a certain lawyer stood up, trying him, and saying, 'Teacher, what having done, life age-during shall I inherit?' (aiōnios g166)
26 Y él le dijo: ¿Qué está escrito en la ley? ¿Cómo lees?
And he said unto him, 'In the law what hath been written? how dost thou read?'
27 Y él respondiendo, dijo: Amarás al Señor tu Dios de todo tu corazón, y de toda tu alma, y de todas tus fuerzas, y de todo tu entendimiento; y a tu prójimo, como a ti mismo.
And he answering said, 'Thou shalt love the Lord thy God out of all thy heart, and out of all thy soul, and out of all thy strength, and out of all thy understanding, and thy neighbour as thyself.'
28 Y le dijo: Bien has respondido: haz esto, y vivirás.
And he said to him, 'Rightly thou didst answer; this do, and thou shalt live.'
29 Mas él, queriéndose justificar a sí mismo, dijo a Jesús: ¿Y quién es mi prójimo?
And he, willing to declare himself righteous, said unto Jesus, 'And who is my neighbour?'
30 Y respondiendo Jesús, dijo: Un hombre descendía de Jerusalem a Jericó, y cayó entre ladrones; los cuales le despojaron, e hiriéndo le, se fueron, dejándo le medio muerto.
and Jesus having taken up [the word], said, 'A certain man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among robbers, and having stripped him and inflicted blows, they went away, leaving [him] half dead.
31 Y aconteció, que descendió un sacerdote por el mismo camino; y viéndole, se pasó del un lado.
'And by a coincidence a certain priest was going down in that way, and having seen him, he passed over on the opposite side;
32 Y asimismo un Levita, llegando cerca de aquel lugar, y mirándo le, se pasó del un lado.
and in like manner also, a Levite, having been about the place, having come and seen, passed over on the opposite side.
33 Y un Samaritano, que iba su camino, viniendo cerca de él, y viéndole, fue movido a misericordia;
'But a certain Samaritan, journeying, came along him, and having seen him, he was moved with compassion,
34 Y llegándose, le vendó las heridas, echándole en ellas aceite y vino; y poniéndole sobre su cabalgadura, le llevó al mesón, y cuidó de él.
and having come near, he bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine, and having lifted him up on his own beast, he brought him to an inn, and was careful of him;
35 Y al otro día partiéndose, sacó dos denarios y los dio al mesonero, y le dijo: Cuida de él; y todo lo que de más gastares, yo cuando vuelva, te lo pagaré.
and on the morrow, going forth, taking out two denaries, he gave to the innkeeper, and said to him, Be careful of him, and whatever thou mayest spend more, I, in my coming again, will give back to thee.
36 ¿Quién, pues, de estos tres te parece que fue el prójimo de aquel que cayó entre ladrones?
'Who, then, of these three, seemeth to thee to have become neighbour of him who fell among the robbers?'
37 Y él dijo: El que usó de misericordia con él. Entonces Jesús le dijo: Vé, y haz tú lo mismo.
and he said, 'He who did the kindness with him,' then Jesus said to him, 'Be going on, and thou be doing in like manner.'
38 Y aconteció, que yendo, entró él en una aldea; y una mujer llamada Marta le recibió en su casa.
And it came to pass, in their going on, that he entered into a certain village, and a certain woman, by name Martha, did receive him into her house,
39 Y esta tenía una hermana, que se llamaba María, la cual sentándose a los pies de Jesús oía su palabra.
and she had also a sister, called Mary, who also, having seated herself beside the feet of Jesus, was hearing the word,
40 Marta empero se distraía en muchos servicios; y sobreviniendo, dijo: Señor, ¿no tienes cuidado que mi hermana me deja servir sola? Díle, pues, que me ayude.
and Martha was distracted about much serving, and having stood by him, she said, 'Sir, dost thou not care that my sister left me alone to serve? say then to her, that she may partake along with me.'
41 Respondiendo Jesús entonces, le dijo: Marta, Marta, cuidadosa estás, y con las muchas cosas estás turbada:
And Jesus answering said to her, 'Martha, Martha, thou art anxious and disquieted about many things,
42 Empero una cosa es necesaria; y María ha escogido la buena parte, la cual no le será quitada.
but of one thing there is need, and Mary the good part did choose, that shall not be taken away from her.'
