Juan 13
1 Y antes de la fiesta de la pascua, sabiendo Jesús que su hora era venida para que pasase de este mundo al Padre, como había amado a los suyos que estaban en el mundo, los amó hasta el fin.
Nowe before the feast of the Passeouer, when Iesus knewe that his houre was come, that he should depart out of this world vnto the Father, forasmuch as he loued his owne which were in the world, vnto the end he loued them.
2 Y la cena acabada, como el diablo ya había metido en el corazón de Júdas Iscariote, hijo de Simón, que le entregase:
And when supper was done (and that the deuill had now put in the heart of Iudas Iscariot, Simons sonne, to betray him)
3 Sabiendo Jesús que el Padre le había dado todas las cosas en sus manos, y que había venido de Dios, y a Dios iba:
Iesus knowing that the Father had giuen all things into his hands, and that he was come forth from God, and went to God,
4 Levántase de la cena, y se quita su ropa, y tomando una toalla, se ciñó.
He riseth from supper, and layeth aside his vpper garments, and tooke a towel, and girded himselfe.
5 Luego puso agua en el lebrillo, y comenzó a lavar los pies de los discípulos, y a limpiar los con la toalla con que estaba ceñido.
After that, hee powred water into a basen, and began to wash the disciples feete, and to wipe them with the towell, wherewith he was girded.
6 Viene pues a Simón Pedro; y éste le dice: ¿Señor, tú me lavas a mí los pies?
Then came he to Simon Peter, who sayd to him, Lord, doest thou wash my feete?
7 Respondió Jesús, y le dijo: Lo que yo hago, tú no lo sabes ahora; mas lo sabrás después.
Iesus answered and sayd vnto him, What I doe, thou knowest not nowe: but thou shalt knowe it hereafter.
8 Dícele Pedro: No me lavarás los pies jamás. Respondióle Jesús: Si no te lavare, no tendrás parte conmigo. (aiōn g165)
Peter said vnto him, Thou shalt neuer wash my feete. Iesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou shalt haue no part with me. (aiōn g165)
9 Dícele Simón Pedro: Señor, no solo mis pies, mas aun mis manos, y mi cabeza.
Simon Peter sayd vnto him, Lord, not my feete onely, but also the hands and the head.
10 Dícele Jesús: El que está lavado, no ha menester sino que lave sus pies, pues está todo limpio. Y vosotros limpios estáis, aunque no todos.
Iesus sayd to him, He that is washed, needeth not, saue to wash his feete, but is cleane euery whit: and ye are cleane, but not all.
11 Porque sabía quien era el que le entregaba; por eso dijo: No estáis limpios todos.
For hee knewe who should betray him: therefore sayd he, Ye are not all cleane.
12 Así que, después que les hubo lavado los pies, y tomado su ropa, volviéndose a asentar otra vez, les dijo: ¿Sabéis lo que os he hecho?
So after he had washed their feete, and had taken his garments, and was set downe againe, he sayd vnto them, Knowe ye what I haue done to you?
13 Vosotros me llamáis Maestro y Señor; y decís bien; porque lo soy:
Ye call me Master, and Lord, and ye say well: for so am I.
14 Pues si yo, vuestro Señor y Maestro, he lavado vuestros pies, vosotros también debéis lavar los pies los unos a los otros.
If I then your Lord, and Master, haue washed your feete, ye also ought to wash one an others feete.
15 Porque ejemplo os he dado, para que como yo os he hecho, vosotros también hagáis.
For I haue giuen you an example, that ye should doe, euen as I haue done to you.
16 De cierto, de cierto os digo: El siervo no es mayor que su Señor: ni el enviado es mayor que el que le envió.
Verely, verely I say vnto you, The seruant is not greater then his master, neither the ambassadour greater then he that sent him.
17 Si sabéis estas cosas, bienaventurados sois, si las hiciereis.
If ye know these things, blessed are ye, if ye doe them.
18 No hablo de todos vosotros: yo sé los que he elegido; mas para que se cumpla la Escritura: El que come pan conmigo, levantó contra mí su calcañar.
I speake not of you all: I know whom I haue chosen: but it is that the Scripture might be fulfilled, He that eateth bread with me, hath lift vp his heele against me.
19 Desde ahora os lo digo, antes que suceda, para que cuando sucediere, creáis que yo soy.
From henceforth tell I you before it come, that when it is come to passe, ye might beleeue that I am he.
20 De cierto, de cierto os digo, que el que recibe al que yo enviare, a mí recibe; y el que a mí recibe, recibe al que me envió.
Verely, verely I say vnto you, If I send any, he that receiueth him, receiueth me, and hee that receiueth me, receiueth him that sent me.
21 Como hubo Jesús dicho esto, fue conmovido en espíritu, y protestó, y dijo: De cierto, de cierto os digo, que uno de vosotros me ha de entregar.
When Iesus had sayd these things, he was troubled in the Spirit, and testified, and said, Verely, verely I say vnto you, that one of you shall betray me.
22 Entonces los discípulos mirábanse los unos a los otros, dudando de quien hablaba.
Then the disciples looked one on another, doubting of whom he spake.
23 Y uno de sus discípulos, al cual Jesús amaba, estaba recostado en el seno de Jesús.
Nowe there was one of his disciples, which leaned on Iesus bosome, whom Iesus loued.
24 A éste pues hizo señas Simón Pedro, para que preguntase quien era aquel de quien hablaba.
To him beckened therefore Simon Peter, that he should aske who it was of whom he spake.
25 El entonces recostado sobre el pecho de Jesús, le dice: ¿Señor, quién es?
He then, as he leaned on Iesus breast, saide vnto him, Lord, who is it?
26 Respondió Jesús: Aquel es, a quien yo diere el pan mojado. Y mojando el pan, dió lo a Júdas Iscariote, el hijo de Simón.
Iesus answered, He it is, to whome I shall giue a soppe, when I haue dipt it: and hee wet a soppe, and gaue it to Iudas Iscariot, Simons sonne.
27 Y tras el bocado Satanás entró en él. Entonces Jesús le dice: Lo que haces, házlo más presto.
And after the soppe, Satan entred into him. Then sayd Iesus vnto him, That thou doest, doe quickly.
28 Empero esto ninguno de los que estaban a la mesa entendió a qué propósito se lo dijo.
But none of them that were at table, knew, for what cause he spake it vnto him.
29 Porque algunos de ellos pensaban, porque Júdas tenía la bolsa, que Jesús le decía: Compra las cosas que nos son necesarias para la fiesta: o que diese algo a los pobres.
For some of them thought because Iudas had the bag, that Iesus had sayd vnto him, Buy those things that we haue neede of against ye feast: or that he should giue some thing to the poore.
30 Como él pues hubo tomado el bocado, luego salió; y era ya noche.
Assoone then as he had receiued the soppe, he went immediately out, and it was night.
31 Entonces como él salió, dijo Jesús: Ahora es glorificado el Hijo del hombre, y Dios es glorificado en él.
When hee was gone out, Iesus sayd, Nowe is the Sonne of man glorified, and God is glorified in him.
32 Si Dios es glorificado en él, Dios también le glorificará en sí mismo; y luego le glorificará.
If God be glorified in him, God shall also glorifie him in himselfe, and shall straightway glorifie him.
33 Hijitos, aun un poco estoy con vosotros. Me buscaréis; y así como dije a los Judíos: Donde yo voy, vosotros no podéis venir; así ahora a vosotros lo digo.
Litle children, yet a litle while am I with you: ye shall seeke me, but as I sayde vnto the Iewes, Whither I goe, can ye not come: also to you say I nowe,
34 Un mandamiento nuevo os doy: Que os améis los unos a los otros: como os amé yo, que también os améis los unos a los otros.
A newe commandement giue I vnto you, that ye loue one another: as I haue loued you, that ye also loue one another.
35 En esto conocerán todos que sois mis discípulos, si tuviereis amor los unos hacia los otros.
By this shall all men knowe that ye are my disciples, if ye haue loue one to another.
36 Le dijo Simón Pedro: ¿Señor, a dónde vas? Respondióle Jesús: Donde yo voy, no me puedes ahora seguir; mas me seguirás después.
Simon Peter said vnto him, Lord, whither goest thou? Iesus answered him, Whither I goe, thou canst not follow me nowe: but thou shalt follow me afterward.
37 Dícele Pedro: ¿Señor, por qué no te puedo seguir ahora? mi vida pondré por ti.
Peter sayd vnto him, Lord, why can I not follow thee now? I will lay downe my life for thy sake.
38 Repondióle Jesús: ¿Tu vida pondrás por mí? De cierto, de cierto te digo: No cantará el gallo, sin que me hayas negado tres veces.
Iesus answered him, Wilt thou lay downe thy life for my sake? Verely, verely I say vnto thee, The cocke shall not crowe, till thou haue denied me thrise.
