Jeremías 37

1 Y reinó el rey Sedecías, hijo de Josías, en lugar de Conías, hijo de Joacim, al cual Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, había constituido por rey en la tierra de Judá.

And kyng Sedechie, the sone of Josie, regnede for Jeconye, the sone of Joachym, whom Nabugodonosor, kyng of Babiloyne, made kyng in the lond of Juda.

2 Y no obedeció él, ni sus siervos, ni el pueblo de la tierra a las palabras de Jehová, que dijo por el profeta Jeremías.

And he, and hise seruauntis, and his puple obeieden not to the wordis of the Lord, whiche he spak in the hond of Jeremye, the profete.

3 Envió pues el rey Sedecías a Jucal, hijo de Selemías, y a Sofonías, hijo de Maasías sacerdote, a Jeremías profeta, para que le dijesen: Ruega ahora por nosotros a Jehová nuestro Dios.

And kyng Sedechie sente Jothal, the sone of Selemye, and Sofonye, the preest, the sone of Maasie, to Jeremye, the profete, and seide, Preie thou for vs oure Lord God.

4 (Y Jeremías entraba y salía en medio del pueblo, porque no le habían puesto en la casa de la cárcel.

Forsothe Jeremye yede freli in the myddis of the puple; for thei hadden not sente hym in to the kepyng of the prisoun.

5 Y como el ejército de Faraón hubo salido de Egipto, y vino la fama de ellos a oídos de los Caldeos, que tenían cercada a Jerusalem, se partieron de Jerusalem.)

Therfor the oost of Farao yede out of Egipt, and Caldeis, that bisegiden Jerusalem, herden sich a message, and yeden awei fro Jerusalem.

6 Entonces fue palabra de Jehová a Jeremías profeta, diciendo:

And the word of the Lord was maad to Jeremye, the profete,

7 Así dijo Jehová Dios de Israel: Diréis así al rey de Judá que os envió a mí, para que me preguntaseis: He aquí que el ejército de Faraón, que había salido en vuestro socorro, se volvió a su tierra en Egipto.

and seide, The Lord God of Israel seith these thingis, Thus ye schulen seie to the kyng of Juda, that sente you to axe me, Lo! the oost of Farao, which yede out to you in to help, schal turne ayen in to his lond, in to Egipt.

8 Y tornarán los Caldeos, y combatirán esta ciudad, y tomarla han, y meterla han a fuego.

And Caldeis schulen come ayen, and schulen fiyte ayens this citee, and schulen take it, and schulen brenne it bi fier.

9 Así dijo Jehová: No engañéis vuestras almas diciendo: Sin duda los Caldeos se han ido de nosotros; porque no se irán.

The Lord seith these thingis, Nyle ye disseyue youre soulis, seiynge, Caldeis goynge schulen go a wey, and schulen departe fro vs; for thei schulen not go a wei.

10 Porque aunque vosotros hirieseis todo el ejército de los Caldeos que pelean con vosotros, y quedasen de ellos hombres alanceados, cada uno se levantará de su tienda, y pondrán a fuego esta ciudad.

But thouy ye sleen al the oost of Caldeis, that fiyten ayens you, and summe woundid men of hem be left, ech man schal rise fro his tente, and thei schulen brenne this citee bi fier.

11 Y aconteció que como el ejército de los Caldeos se fue de Jerusalem a causa del ejército de Faraón,

Therfor whanne the oost of Caldeis hadde goon awei fro Jerusalem, for the oost of Farao, Jeremye yede out of Jerusalem,

12 Jeremías se salió de Jerusalem para irse a tierra de Ben-jamín, para escabullirse de allí, de en medio del pueblo.

to go in to the lond of Beniamyn, and to departe there the possessioun in the siyt of citeseyns.

13 Y cuando fue a la puerta de Ben-jamín, estaba allí un prepósito que se llamaba Jerías, hijo de Selemías, hijo de Jananías: este prendió a Jeremías profeta, diciendo: Tú te acuestas a los Caldeos.

And whanne he was comun to the yate of Beniamyn, ther was a kepere of the yate bi whiles, Jerie bi name, the sone of Selemye, sone of Ananye; and he took Jeremye, the prophete, and seide, Thou fleest to Caldeis.

14 Y Jeremías dijo: Es falso, no me acuesto a los Caldeos. Más él no le escuchó, antes prendió Jerías a Jeremías, y trájole delante de los príncipes.

And Jeremye answeride, It is fals; Y fle not to Caldeis. And he herde not Jeremye, but Jerie took Jeremye, and brouyte hym to the princes.

15 Y los príncipes se airaron contra Jeremías, y azotáronle, y pusiéronle en la casa de la cárcel, en casa de Jonatán escriba; porque aquella habían hecho casa de cárcel.

Wherfor the princes weren wrooth ayens Jeremye, and beeten hym, and senten hym in to the prisoun, that was in the hous of Jonathas, the scryuen; for he was souereyn on the prisoun.

16 Siendo pues entrado Jeremías en la casa de la mazmorra, y en las camarillas de la prisión, y habiendo estado allá Jeremías por muchos días,

Therfor Jeremye entride in to the hous of the lake, and in to the prisoun of trauel; and Jeremye sat there manye daies.

17 El rey Sedecías envió, y le sacó; y preguntóle el rey escondidamente en su casa, y dijo: ¿Es palabra de Jehová? y Jeremías dijo: Es. Y dijo más: En mano del rey de Babilonia serás entregado.

Therfor kyng Sedechie sente, and took hym a wei, and axide hym priuyli in his hous, and seide, Gessist thou, whether a word is of the Lord? And Jeremye seide, Ther is. And Jeremye seide, Thou schalt be bitakun in to the hond of the kyng of Babiloyne.

18 Y dijo Jeremías al rey Sedecías: ¿En qué pequé contra ti, y contra tus siervos, y contra este pueblo, porque me pusieseis en la casa de la cárcel?

And Jeremye seide to Sedechie, the kyng, What haue Y synned to thee, and to thi seruauntis, and to thi puple, for thou hast sent me in to the hous of prisoun?

19 Y ¿adónde están vuestros profetas, que os profetizaban, diciendo: No vendrá el rey de Babilonia contra vosotros, ni contra esta tierra?

Where ben youre profetis, that profesieden to you, and seiden, The king of Babiloyne schal not come on you, and on this lond?

20 Ahora pues oye, ruego, mi señor el rey: Caiga ahora mi ruego delante de ti, y no me hagas volver en casa de Jonatán escriba, porque no me muera allí.

Now therfor, my lord the kyng, Y biseche, here thou, my preier be worth in thi siyt, and sende thou not me ayen in to the hous of Jonathas, the scryuen, lest Y die there.

21 Y mandó el rey Sedecías, y depositaron a Jeremías en el patio de la guarda, haciéndole dar una torta de pan al día, de la plaza de los panaderos, hasta que todo el pan de la ciudad se gastase. Y quedó Jeremías en el patio de la guarda.

Therfor Sedechie comaundide, that Jeremye schulde be bitakun in to the porche of the prisoun, and that a cake of breed schulde be youun to hym ech dai, outakun seew, til alle looues of the citee weren wastid; and Jeremye dwellide in the porche of the prisoun.
