Isaías 55
1 O, todos los sedientos, veníd a las aguas; y los que no tienen dinero, veníd, comprád, y coméd: veníd, comprád, sin dinero y sin precio, vino y leche.
Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters! Even ye that have no money, come ye, buy and eat! Yea, come, buy wine and milk, Without money and without price.
2 ¿Por qué gastáis el dinero no en pan, y vuestro trabajo en no por hartura? Oídme oyendo, y coméd del bien, y deleitarse ha vuestra alma con grosura.
Wherefore do ye spend your money for that which is not bread, And your substance for that which doth not satisfy? Listen attentively to me; so shall ye eat that which is good, And your soul shall delight itself with delicacies.
3 Abajád vuestras orejas, y veníd a mí: oíd, y vivirá vuestra alma. Y haré con vosotros concierto eterno, las misericordias firmes a David.
Incline your ear, and come to me; Hear, and your soul shall live! And I will make with you an everlasting covenant; I will give you the sure mercies of David.
4 He aquí que yo le di por testigo a pueblos, por capitán, y por maestro a pueblos.
Behold, I gave him for a commander to the nations; For a prince, and a lawgiver to the nations.
5 He aquí que a nación que no conociste, llamarás; y naciones que no te conocieron, correrán a ti, por causa de Jehová tu Dios, y del Santo de Israel que te ha honrado.
Behold, the nation which thou knowest not thou shalt call; And the nation which knew not thee shall run to thee, For the sake of Jehovah, thy God, And of the Holy One of Israel, for he hath glorified thee.
6 Buscád a Jehová, mientras se halla: llamádle, entre tanto que está cercano.
Seek ye Jehovah, while he may be found; Call upon him while he is near;
7 Deje el impío su camino, y el varón inicuo sus pensamientos, y vuélvase a Jehová, el cual tendrá de él misericordia, y al Dios nuestro, el cual será grande para perdonar.
Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to Jehovah, and he will have mercy upon him, And to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
8 Porque mis pensamientos no son como vuestros pensamientos, ni vuestros caminos como mis caminos, dijo Jehová.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, Neither are your ways my ways, saith Jehovah.
9 Como son más altos los cielos que la tierra, así son más altos mis caminos que vuestros caminos, y mis pensamientos más que vuestros pensamientos.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are my ways higher than your ways, And my thoughts than your thoughts.
10 Porque como desciende de los cielos la lluvia, y la nieve, y no vuelve allá, mas harta la tierra, y la hace engendrar, y producir, y da simiente al que siembra, y pan al que come:
For as the rain and the snow descend from heaven, And return not thither, But water the earth, and make it bear and put forth its increase, That it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater;
11 Así será mi palabra que sale de mi boca: no volverá a mi vacía, mas hará lo que yo quiero, y será prosperada en aquello para que la envié.
So shall my word be, that goeth forth from my mouth; It shall not return to me void; But it shall bring to pass that which is my pleasure, And it shall accomplish that for which I send it.
12 Porque con alegría saldréis, y con paz seréis vueltos: los montes y los collados levantarán canción delante de vosotros, y todos los árboles del campo os aplaudirán con las manos.
For ye shall go out with joy And be led forth with peace; The mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, And all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
13 En lugar de la zarza crecerá haya; y en lugar de la ortiga crecerá arrayan; y será a Jehová por nombre, por señal eterna, que nunca será raída.
Instead of the thorn shall grow up the cypress-tree, And instead of the bramble shall grow up the myrtle-tree, And it shall be to Jehovah for a name; For an everlasting memorial, that shall not pass away.
