Isaías 14
1 Porque Jehová tendrá piedad de Jacob, y todavía escogerá a Israel; y hacerles ha que descansen sobre su tierra; y juntarse han a ellos extranjeros, y allegarse han a la familia de Jacob.
For the Lord wil haue compassion of Iaakob, and wil yet chuse Israel, and cause them to rest in their owne lande: and the stranger shall ioyne him selfe vnto them, and they shall cleaue to the house of Iaakob.
2 Y tomarlos han pueblos, y traerlos han a su lugar; y la casa de Israel los poseerá por siervos y criadas en la tierra de Jehová; y cautivarán a los que los cautivaron, y señorearán a los que los oprimieron.
And the people shall receiue them and bring them to their owne place, and the house of Israel shall possesse them in the land of the Lord, for seruants and handmaids: and they shall take them prisoners, whose captiues they were, and haue rule ouer their oppressours.
3 Y será que en el día que Jehová te diere reposo de tu trabajo, y de tu temor, y de la dura servidumbre en que te hicieron servir,
And in that day when the Lord shall giue thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy feare, and from the sore bodage, wherein thou didest serue,
4 Entonces levantarás esta parábola sobre el rey de Babilonia, y dirás: ¿Cómo cesó el exactor, reposó la codiciosa del oro?
Then shalt thou take vp this prouerbe against the King of Babel, and say, Howe hath the oppressor ceased? and the gold thirsty Babel rested?
5 Quebrantó Jehová el bastón de los impíos, el cetro de los señores.
The Lord hath broken the rodde of the wicked, and the scepter of the rulers:
6 Que con ira hería los pueblos de llaga perpetua; que con furor se enseñoreaba de las naciones: al perseguido no defendió.
Which smote the people in anger with a continuall plague, and ruled the nations in wrath: if any were persecuted, he did not let.
7 Descansó, sosegó toda la tierra, cantaron alabanza.
The whole worlde is at rest and is quiet: they sing for ioye.
8 Aun las hayas se holgaron de ti, los cedros del Líbano, diciendo: Desde que tú moriste, no ha subido cortador contra nosotros.
Also the firre trees reioyced of thee, and the cedars of Lebanon, saying, Since thou art laid downe, no hewer came vp against vs.
9 El infierno abajo se espantó de ti: despertóte muertos que en tu venida saliesen a recebirte: todos los príncipes de la tierra hizo levantar de sus tronos, a todos los reyes de las naciones. (Sheol h7585)
Hel beneath is mooued for thee to meete thee at thy comming, raising vp the deade for thee, euen all the princes of the earth, and hath raised from their thrones all the Kinges of the nations. (Sheol h7585)
10 Todos ellos darán voces, y te dirán: ¿Tú también enfermaste como nosotros? ¿fuiste como nosotros?
All they shall crie, and saie vnto thee, Art thou become weake also as we? art thou become like vnto vs?
11 Descendió al sepulcro tu soberbia, y el sonido de tus vihuelas: gusanos serán tu cama, y gusanos te cubrirán. (Sheol h7585)
Thy pompe is brought downe to ye graue, and the sounde of thy violes: the worme is spred vnder thee, and the wormes couer thee. (Sheol h7585)
12 ¡Cómo caíste del cielo, o! Lucero, hijo de la mañana! ¡cortado fuiste por tierra, el que debilitabas las naciones!
How art thou fallen from heauen, O Lucifer, sonne of the morning? and cutte downe to the grounde, which didest cast lottes vpon the nations?
13 Tú que decías en tu corazón: Subiré al cielo: en lo alto junto a las estrellas de Dios ensalzaré mi trono; y en el monte del testimonio me asentaré, en los lados del aquilón.
Yet thou saidest in thine heart, I will ascende into heauen, and exalt my throne aboue beside the starres of God: I will sitte also vpon the mount of the Congregation in the sides of the North.
14 Sobre las alturas de las nubes subiré, y seré semejante al Altísimo.
I wil ascend aboue ye height of the cloudes, and I will be like the most high.
But thou shalt bee brought downe to the graue, to the sides of the pit. (Sheol h7585)
16 Inclinarse han hacia ti los que te vieren, y considerarte han, diciendo: ¿Es este aquel varón, que hacía temblar la tierra, que trastornaba los reinos,
They that see thee, shall looke vpon thee and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, and that did shake the kingdomes?
17 Que puso el mundo como un desierto, que asoló sus ciudades, que a sus presos nunca abrió la cárcel?
He made the worlde as a wildernesse, and destroied the cities thereof, and opened not the house of his prisoners.
18 Todos los reyes de las naciones, todos ellos yacen con honra cada uno en su casa.
All the Kings of the nations, euen they all sleepe in glorie, euery one in his owne house.
19 Mas tú echado eres de tu sepulcro, como tronco abominable: como vestido de muertos a estocadas de espada, que descendieron a los fundamentos de la sepultura: como cuerpo muerto hollado.
But thou art cast out of thy graue like an abominable branch: like the raiment of those that are slaine, and thrust thorowe with a sword, which goe downe to the stones of the pit, as a carkeise troden vnder feete.
20 No serás contado con ellos en la sepultura; porque tu destruiste tu tierra, mataste tu pueblo. No será para siempre la simiente de los malignos.
Thou shalt not be ioyned with them in the graue, because thou hast destroied thine owne lande, and slaine thy people: the seede of the wicked shall not be renoumed for euer.
21 Aparejád sus hijos para el matadero por la maldad de sus padres; no se levanten, y posean la tierra, e hinchan la haz del mundo de ciudades.
Prepare a slaughter for his children, for the iniquitie of their fathers: let them not rise vp nor possesse the land, nor fil the face of the world with enemies.
22 Porque yo me levantaré sobre ellos, dice Jehová de los ejércitos, y raeré de Babilonia el nombre, y los residuos, hijo y nieto, dice Jehová.
For I wil rise vp against them (sayth the Lord of hostes) and will cut off from Babel the name and the remnant and the sonne, and the nephew, sayth the Lord:
23 Y ponerla he en posesión de erizos, y en lagunas de aguas; y barrerla he con escoba de destrucción, dice Jehová de los ejércitos.
And I wil make it a possession to ye hedgehogge, and pooles of water, and I will sweepe it with the besome of destruction, sayeth the Lord of hostes.
24 Jehová de los ejércitos juró, diciendo: Si no se hiciere de la manera que lo he pensado; y si no será confirmado, como lo he determinado.
The Lord of hostes hath sworne, saying, Surely like as I haue purposed, so shall it come to passe, and as I haue consulted, it shall stand:
25 Que quebrantaré al Asur en mi tierra, y en mis montes le hollaré; y su yugo será apartado de ellos, y su carga será quitada de su hombro.
That I will breake to pieces Asshur in my land, and vpon my mountaines will I treade him vnder foote: so that his yoke shall depart from them, and his burden shall be taken from off their shoulder.
26 Este es aquel consejo, que está acordado sobre toda la tierra; y esta es aquella mano extendida sobre todas las naciones.
This is the counsell that is consulted vpon the whole worlde, and this is the hande stretched out ouer all the nations,
27 Porque Jehová de los ejércitos lo ha determinado, ¿y quién lo invalidará? Y aquella su mano extendida, ¿quién la hará tornar?
Because the Lord of hostes hath determined it, and who shall disanull it? and his hande is stretched out, and who shall turne it away?
28 En el año que murió el rey Acaz fue esta carga:
In the yeere that King Ahaz died, was this burden.
29 No te alegres tú, toda Filistea, por haberse quebrado la vara del que te hería; porque de la raíz de la culebra saldrá basilisco, y su fruto ceraste volador.
Reioyce not, (thou whole Palestina) because the rod of him that did beat thee, is broken for out of the serpents roote shall come forth a cockatrise, and the fruit therof shalbe a firy flying serpent.
30 Y los primogénitos de los pobres serán apacentados, y los menesterosos se acostarán seguramente; y haré morir de hambre tu raíz, y tus residuos matará él.
For the first borne of the poore shall be fed, and the needie shall lie downe in safetie: and I will kill thy roote with famine, and it shall slay thy remnant.
31 Aulla, o! puerta, clama, o! ciudad, desleida, Filistea, toda tú; porque humo vendrá del aquilón: no quedará uno solo en sus congregaciones.
Howle, O gate, crie, O citie: thou whole lande of Palestina art dissolued, for there shall come from the North a smoke, and none shalbe alone, at his time appointed.
32 ¿Y qué se responderá a los mensajeros de la gentilidad? Que Jehová fundó a Sión, y que en ella tendrán confianza los afligidos de su pueblo.
What shall then one answere the messengers of the Gentiles? That the Lord hath stablished Zion, and the poore of his people shall trust in it.
