Hebreos 7
1 Porque este Melquisedec, rey de Salem, sacerdote del Dios Altísimo, el cual salió al encuentro a Abraham que volvía de la matanza de los reyes, y le bendijo:
For this Melchi-sedec was King of Salem, the Priest of the most high God, who met Abraham, as he returned from the slaughter of the Kings, and blessed him:
2 A quien asimismo dio Abraham la décima parte de todo: primeramente el cual ciertamente se interpreta, Rey de justicia; y luego también, Rey de Salem, que es, Rey de paz;
To whom also Abraham gaue the tithe of all things: who first is by interpretation King of righteousnes: after that, he is also King of Salem, that is, King of peace,
3 Sin padre, sin madre, sin genealogía; que ni tiene principio de días, ni fin de vida; mas hecho semejante al Hijo de Dios, se queda sacerdote continuamente.
Without father, without mother, without kinred, and hath neither beginning of his dayes, neither ende of life: but is likened vnto the Sonne of God, and continueth a Priest for euer.
4 Considerád pues cuán grande fue éste, a quien aun Abraham el patriarca dio la décima de los despojos.
Nowe consider how great this man was, vnto whome euen the Patriarke Abraham gaue the tithe of the spoyles.
5 Que ciertamente los que de los hijos de Leví reciben el sacerdocio, tienen mandamiento de tomar diezmos del pueblo según la ley, es a saber, de sus hermanos, aunque también ellos hayan salido de los lomos de Abraham.
For verely they which are the childre of Leui, which receiue the office of the Priesthode, haue a commandement to take, according to the Law, tithes of the people (that is, of their bethren) though they came out of ye loynes of Abraham.
6 Mas aquel, cuya genealogía no es contada entre ellos, tomó diezmos de Abraham, y bendijo al que tenía las promesas.
But he whose kindred is not couted among them, receiued tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises.
7 Y sin contradicción alguna lo que es menos es bendito de lo que es mejor.
And without all contradiction the lesse is blessed of the greater.
8 Y aquí ciertamente los hombres mortales toman los diezmos; mas allí, aquel del cual está dado testimonio, que vive.
And here men that die, receiue tithes: but there he receiueth them, of whome it is witnessed, that he liueth.
9 Y (por decirlo así) en Abraham fue diezmado también el mismo Leví que recibe los diezmos;
And to say as the thing is, Leui also which receiueth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham.
10 Porque aun Leví estaba en los lomos de su padre, cuando Melquisedec salió al encuentro a Abraham.
For hee was yet in the loynes of his father Abraham, when Melchi-sedec met him.
11 Si pues la perfección era por el sacerdocio Levítico, (porque debajo de él recibió el pueblo la ley, ) ¿qué necesidad había aun de que se levantase otro sacerdote según el orden de Melquisedec, y que no se dijese según el orden de Aarón?
If therefore perfection had bene by the Priesthoode of the Leuites (for vnder it the Lawe was established to the people) what needed it furthermore, that another Priest should rise after the order of Melchi-sedec, and not to be called after the order of Aaron?
12 Luego traspasado el sacerdocio, necesario es que se haga también traspasamiento de la ley.
For if the Priesthood be changed, then of necessitie must there be a change of the Lawe.
13 Porque aquel de quien estas cosas se dicen, de otra tribu es, de la cual nadie asistió al altar.
For hee of whome these things are spoken, perteineth vnto another tribe, whereof no man serued at the altar.
14 Porque es evidente que nuestro Señor nació de Judá, de cuya tribu nada habló Moisés, tocante al sacerdocio.
For it is euident, that our Lord sprung out of Iuda, concerning the which tribe Moses spake nothing, touching the Priesthood.
15 Y aun mucho más evidente es; que, según la semejanza de Melquisedec, se levanta otro sacerdote:
And it is yet a more euident thing, because that after the similitude of Melchi-sedec, there is risen vp another Priest,
16 El cual no es hecho conforme a la ley del mandamiento carnal, sino según el poder de una vida indisoluble.
Which is not made Priest after the Law of the carnal commandement, but after the power of the endlesse life.
17 Porque él testifica, diciendo: Tú eres sacerdote para siempre según el orden de Melquisedec. (aiōn g165)
For hee testifieth thus, Thou art a Priest for euer, after the order of Melchi-sedec. (aiōn g165)
18 El mandamiento precedente cierto se abroga por su flaqueza e inutilidad.
For the commandement that went afore, is disanulled, because of the weakenes thereof, and vnprofitablenes.
19 Porque nada perfeccionó la ley, sino la introducción de mejor esperanza, por la cual nos acercamos de Dios,
For the Law made nothing perfite, but the bringing in of a better hope made perfite, whereby we drawe neere vnto God.
20 Y tanto más en cuanto no sin juramento fue él hecho sacerdote;
And for as much as it is not without an othe (for these are made Priestes without an othe:
21 (Porque los otros cierto sin juramento fueron hechos sacerdotes; mas éste, con juramento por aquel que le dijo: Juró el Señor, y no se arrepentirá: Tú eres sacerdote eternamente según el orden de Melquisedec: ) (aiōn g165)
But this is made with an othe by him that said vnto him, The Lord hath sworne, and will not repent, Thou art a Priest for euer, after the order of Melchi-sedec) (aiōn g165)
22 Tanto de mejor concierto fue hecho prometedor Jesús.
By so much is Iesus made a suretie of a better Testament.
23 Y los otros cierto fueron muchos sacerdotes, porque la muerte les impedía que continuasen;
And among them many were made Priests, because they were not suffered to endure, by the reason of death.
But this man, because hee endureth euer, hath a Priesthood, which cannot passe from one to another. (aiōn g165)
25 Por lo cual puede también salvar perpetuamente a los que por él se allegan a Dios, viviendo siempre para interceder por ellos;
Wherefore, hee is able also perfectly to saue them that come vnto God by him, seeing he euer liueth, to make intercession for them.
26 Porque tal sumo sacerdote nos convenía, que fuese santo, inocente, libre de mancha, apartado de los pecadores, y hecho más sublime que los cielos.
For such an hie Priest it became vs to haue, which is holy, harmelesse, vndefiled, separate from sinners, and made hier then the heauens:
27 Que no tuviese necesidad cada día, como los otros sumos sacerdotes, de ofrecer sacrificios, primero por sus propios pecados, y luego por los del pueblo; porque esto lo hizo una vez ofreciéndose a sí mismo.
Which needeth not daily as those hie Priests to offer vp sacrifice, first for his owne sinnes, and then for the peoples: for that did he once, when he offered vp himselfe.
28 Porque la ley constituye sumos sacerdotes a hombres que tienen flaqueza; mas la palabra del juramento, que fue después de la ley, constituye al Hijo, que es perfecto eternamente. (aiōn g165)
For the Law maketh men hie Priestes, which haue infirmitie: but the word of the othe that was since the Lawe, maketh the Sonne, who is consecrated for euermore. (aiōn g165)
