Génesis 6

1 Y acaeció que cuando comenzaron los hombres a multiplicarse sobre la haz de la tierra, y les nacieron hijas,

And it came to pass when men had begun to multiply on the face of the ground and daughters had been born to them,

2 Viendo los hijos de Dios las hijas de los hombres que eran hermosas, tomáronse mujeres escogiendo entre todas.

that the sons of God saw the daughters of men! that they were, fair, —so they took to themselves wives of whomsoever they chose,

3 Y dijo Jehová: No contenderá mi Espíritu con el hombre para siempre, porque ciertamente él es carne: mas serán sus días ciento y veinte años.

And Yahweh said—My spirit shall not rule in man to times age—abiding, for that, he also, is flesh, —Yet his days shall be a hundred and twenty years.

4 Había gigantes en la tierra en aquellos días; y también después que entraron los hijos de Dios a las hijas de los hombres, y les engendraron hijos, estos fueron los valientes, que desde la antigüedad fueron varones de nombre.

The giants, were in the earth in those days, and also, after that, when the sons of God began to go in unto the daughters of men, and sons were born to them, the same, were the heroes that were from age-past times the men of renown.

5 Y vio Jehová que la malicia de los hombres era mucha sobre la tierra, y que todo el intento de los pensamientos del corazón de ellos ciertamente era malo todo el tiempo.

Then Yahweh saw that great, was the wickedness of man in the earth, and that, every purpose of the devices of his heart, was only wicked all the day;

6 Y arrepintióse Jehová de haber hecho hombre en la tierra; y pesóle en su corazón.

and it grieved Yahweh, that he had made man in the earth, —and he took sorrow unto his heart.

7 Y dijo Jehová: Raeré los hombres que he creado de sobre la haz de la tierra, desde el hombre hasta la bestia, y hasta el reptil, y hasta el ave de los cielos; porque me arrepiento de haberlos hecho.

And Yahweh said—I must wipe off man whom I created from off the face of the ground, from man unto beast unto creeping thing, and unto the bird of the heavens, —for I am grieved that I made them.

8 Empero Noé halló gracia en los ojos de Jehová.

But, Noah, had found favour in the eyes, of Yahweh.

9 Estas son las generaciones de Noé: Noé, varón justo, perfecto fue en sus generaciones: con Dios anduvo Noé.

These, are the generations of Noah, Noah, was, a righteous man blameless, in his generations, —with God, did Noah walk.

10 Y engendró Noé tres hijos, a Sem, a Cam, y a Jafet.

And Noah begat three sons, —Shem, Ham and Japheth.

11 Y corrompióse la tierra delante de Dios, e hinchióse la tierra de violencia.

And the earth corrupted itself before God, —and the earth was filled with violence,

12 Y vio Dios la tierra, y he aquí que estaba corrompida, porque toda carne había corrompido su camino sobre la tierra.

And God beheld the earth, and lo! it had corrupted itself, —surely all flesh had corrupted its way, on the earth.

13 Y dijo Dios a Noé: El fin de toda carne ha venido delante de mí: porque la tierra está llena de violencia delante de ellos: y he aquí que yo los destruyo a ellos con la tierra.

So God said unto Noah: the end of all flesh, hath come in before me, for, filled, is the earth with violence, because of them, —behold me, then, destroying them with the earth.

14 Hazte un arca de madera de cedro: harás apartamientos en el arca, y embetunarla has por de dentro y por de fuera con betún.

Make for thee an ark of timbers of gopher, rooms, shalt thou make with the ark, —and thou shalt cover it within and without with pitch.

15 Y de esta manera la harás: De trescientos codos la longura del arca, y de cincuenta codos su anchura, y de treinta codos su altura.

And, this, is how thou shalt make it, —three hundred cubits, the length of the ark, fifty cubits, the breadth thereof, and thirty cubits the height thereof.

16 Una ventana harás al arca, y a un codo la acabarás de la parte de arriba: y la puerta del arca pondrás a su lado de suelos bajos, segundos, y terceros le harás.

A place for light, shalt thou make to the ark and to a cubit, shalt thou finish it upwards, and the opening of the ark—in the side thereof, shalt thou put, —with lower, second and third stories, shalt thou make it.

17 Y yo, he aquí que yo traigo un diluvio de aguas sobre la tierra, para destruir toda carne, en que haya espíritu de vida debajo del cielo: todo lo que hubiere en la tierra, morirá.

And, I, behold me! bringing in the flood—even waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh wherein is the spirit of life, from under the heavens, —everything that is in the earth, shall cease to breathe:

18 Mas yo estableceré mi concierto contigo, y entrarás en el arca tú, y tus hijos, y tu mujer, y las mujeres de tus hijos contigo.

therefore will I establish my covenant with thee, —and thou shalt enter into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons’ wives, with thee.

19 Y de todo lo que vive, de toda carne, dos de cada uno meterás en el arca, para que tengan vida contigo: macho y hembra serán.

Moreover of all the living creatures of all flesh—two of each, shalt thou bring into the ark to keep alive with thee, —male and female, shall they be.

20 De las aves según su especie, y de las bestias según su especie, de todo reptil de la tierra según su especie, dos de cada uno entrarán a ti, para que tengan vida.

Of the bird after its kind and of the beast after its kind, [and] of every creeping thing of the ground after its kind, two of each, shall come in unto thee. for keeping alive.

21 Y tú tómate de toda vianda que se come, y júntatela, y será para ti y para ellos por mantenimiento.

But thou, take to thee of all food that is eaten, and gather it unto thee, —and it shall be for thee and for them for food.

22 E hizo Noé conforme a todo lo que le mandó Dios: así lo hizo.

And Noah did [so], —according to all that God commanded him, so did he.
