Génesis 34
1 Y salió Dina la hija de Lia, que había parido a Jacob, por ver las hijas de la tierra.
Forsothe Dyna, the douytir of Lya, yede out to se the wymmen of that cuntrey.
2 Y vióla Siquem, hijo de Jamor Heveo, príncipe de aquella tierra, y tomóla, y echóse con ella; y afligióla.
And whanne Sichem, the sone of Emor Euey, the prince of that lond, hadde seyn hir, he louede hir, and rauyschide, and sclepte with hir, and oppresside the virgyn bi violence.
3 Y apegóse su alma con Dina, la hija de Jacob, y enamoróse de la moza, y habló al corazón de la moza.
And his soule was boundun faste with hir, and he pleside hir sory with flateringis.
4 Y habló Siquem a Jamor su padre, diciendo: Tómame esta moza por mujer.
And he yede to Emor,
5 Y oyó Jacob, que había ensuciado a Dina su hija, estando sus hijos con su ganado en el campo; y calló Jacob hasta que ellos viniesen.
his fadir, and seide, Take to me this damysel a wijf. And whanne Jacob hadde herd this thing, while the sones weren absent, and ocupied in the fedyng of scheep, he was stille, til thei camen ayen.
6 Y salió Jamor, padre de Siquem, a Jacob, para hablar con él.
Sotheli whanne Emor, the fadir of Sichem, was gon out, `that he schulde speke to Jacob, lo!
7 Y los hijos de Jacob vinieron del campo en oyéndolo, y entristeciéronse los varones, y ensañáronse mucho, porque hizo vileza en Israel, echándose con la hija de Jacob, que no se debía de hacer así.
hise sones camen fro the feeld. And whanne this thing that bifelde was herd, thei weren wroothe greetli; for he wrouyte a foul thing in Israel, and he hadde do a thing vnleueful in the defoulyng of the douyter of Jacob.
8 Y Jamor habló con ellos, diciendo: El alma de mi hijo Siquem se ha apegado con vuestra hija: ruégoos que se la deis por mujer:
And so Emor spak to hem, The soule of my sone Sichem cleuyde to youre douytir, yeue ye hir a wijf to hym,
9 Y consagrád con nosotros: dádnos vuestras hijas, y tomád vosotros las nuestras.
and ioyne we weddyngis to gidere; yyue ye youre douytris to vs,
10 Y habitád con nosotros: porque la tierra estará delante de vosotros: morád y negociád en ella, y tomád en ella posesión.
and take ye oure douytris, and dwelle ye with vs; the lond is in youre power, tile ye, make ye marchaundise, and welde ye it.
11 Siquem también dijo a su padre y a sus hermanos: Halle yo gracia en vuestros ojos: y yo daré lo que vosotros me dijereis.
But also Sichem seide to the fadir and britheren of hir, Fynde Y grace bifor you, and what euer thingis ye ordeynen Y schal yyue;
12 Aumentád sobre mí mucho ajuar y dones, que yo daré cuanto me dijereis; y dádme la moza por mujer.
encreesse ye the dower, and axe ye yiftis, Y schal yyue wilfull that that ye axen; oonli yyue ye this damysele a wijf to me.
13 Y respondieron los hijos de Jacob a Siquem, y a Jamor, su padre, con engaño, y hablaron; porque había ensuciado a Dina su hermana:
The sones of Jacob answeriden in gile to Sichem and his fadir, and weren feerse for the defoulyng of maidenhod of the sistir,
14 Y dijéronles: No podemos hacer esto, que demos nuestra hermana a hombre que tiene prepucio; porque a nosotros es abominación:
We moun not do this that ye axen, nether we moun yyue oure sistir to a man vncircumcidid, which thing is vnleueful and abhomynable anentis vs.
15 Mas con esta condición os haremos placer. Si fuereis como nosotros, que se circuncide en vosotros todo varón;
But in this we schulen mowe be boundun in pees, if ye wole be lijk vs, and ech of male kynde be circumcidid in you,
16 Entonces os daremos nuestras hijas, y tomaremos nosotros las vuestras; y habitaremos con vosotros, y seremos un pueblo:
thanne we schulen yyue and take togidre oure douytris and youre; and we schulen dwelle with you, and we schulen be o puple.
17 Y si no nos oyereis, para circuncidaros, tomaremos nuestra hija, e irnos hemos.
Forsothe if ye nylen be circumcidid, we schulen take oure douytir, and schulen go a wei.
18 Y parecieron bien sus palabras a Jamor, y a Siquem hijo de Jamor.
The profryng of hem pleside Emor and Sichem,
19 Y no dilató el mozo de hacer aquello, porque la hija de Jacob le había agradado: y él era el más honrado de toda la casa de su padre.
his sone, and the yong wexynge man dilaiede not, that ne he fillide anoon that that was axid, for he louede the damysele greetli, and he was noble in al `the hous of his fadir.
20 Entonces vino Jamor y Siquem su hijo a la puerta de su ciudad, y hablaron a los varones de su ciudad, diciendo:
And thei entriden in to the yate of the citee, and spaken to the puple,
21 Estos varones son pacíficos con nosotros, y habitarán la tierra; y granjearán en ella, que, he aquí, la tierra es ancha de lugares delante de ellos, nosotros tomaremos sus hijas por mujeres, y darles hemos las nuestras.
These men ben pesible, and wolen dwelle with vs; make thei marchaundie in the loond, and tile thei it, which is large and brood, and hath nede to tileris; we schulen take her douytris to wyues, and we schulen yyue oure douytris to hem.
22 Mas con esta condición nos harán placer los varones, de habitar con nosotros, para que seamos un pueblo: Si se circuncidare en nosotros todo varón, como ellos son circuncidados.
O thing is, for which so greet good is dilaied; if we circumciden oure malis, and suen the custom of the folc,
23 Sus ganados y su hacienda, y todas sus bestias será nuestro: solamente que consintamos con ellos, y habitarán con nosotros.
bothe her substaunce, and scheep, and alle thingis which thei welden, schulen be oure; oneli assente we in this, that we dwelle to gidere, and make o puple.
24 Y obedecieron a Jamor, y a Siquem su hijo, todos los que salían por la puerta de la ciudad; y circuncidaron a todo varón, cuantos salían por la puerta de la ciudad.
And alle men assentiden, and alle malis weren circumcidid.
25 Y fue, que al tercero día cuando ellos estaban doloridos, los dos hijos de Jacob, Simeón y Leví, hermanos de Dina, tomaron cada uno su espada, y vinieron contra la ciudad animosamente, y mataron a todo varón.
And lo! in the thridde day, whanne the sorewe of woundis was moost greuous, twei sones of acob, Symeon and Leuy, britheren of Dyna, token swerdis, and entriden in to the citee booldeli; and whanne alle malis weren slayn,
26 Y a Jamor, y a Siquem su hijo, mataron a filo de espada; y tomaron a Dina de casa de Siquem, y saliéronse.
thei killiden Emor and Sichem togidere, and token Dyna, her sistir, fro the hous of Sichem.
27 Y los hijos de Jacob vinieron a los muertos, y saquearon la ciudad: por cuanto habían ensuciado a su hermana.
And whanne thei weren goon out, othere sones of Jacob felden in on the slayn men, and rifeliden the citee for the veniaunce of defoulyng of a virgyn.
28 Sus ovejas, y vacas, y sus asnos, y lo que había en la ciudad y en el campo, tomaron.
And thei wastiden the scheep of tho men, and droues of oxun, and assis, and alle thingis that weren in howsis and feeldis,
29 Y toda su hacienda, y todos sus niños, y sus mujeres llevaron cautivas, y robaron; y todo lo que había en casa.
and ledden prisoneris the litle children, and wyues of tho men.
30 Entonces dijo Jacob a Simeón y a Leví: Turbado me habéis, que me habéis hecho abominable con los moradores de aquesta tierra, el Cananeo y el Ferezeo, teniendo yo pocos hombres: y juntarse han contra mí, y herirme han, y seré destruido yo y mi casa.
And whanne these thingis weren don hardili, Jacob seide to Symeon and Leuy, Ye han troblid me, and han maad me hateful to Cananeis and Fereseis, dwellers of this lond; we ben fewe, thei schulen be gaderid to gidere and schulen sle me, and Y schal be don a wey and myn hous.
31 Y ellos respondieron: ¿Había él de tratar a nuestra hermana como a una ramera?
Symeon and Leuy answeriden, Whether thei ouyten mysuse oure sistir as an hoore?
