Génesis 11
1 Era entonces toda la tierra de una lengua, y de unas mismas palabras.
Forsothe the lond was of o langage, and of the same speche.
2 Y aconteció, que como se partieron de oriente, hallaron campo en la tierra de Sennaar, y asentaron allí.
And whanne thei yeden forth fro the eest, thei fonden a feeld in the lond of Sennaar, and dwelliden ther ynne.
3 Y dijeron los unos a los otros: Dad acá, hagamos ladrillo, y cozámos lo con fuego. Y fuéles el ladrillo en lugar de piedra, y el betún en lugar de mezcla.
And oon seide to his neiybore, Come ye, and make we tiel stonys, and bake we tho with fier; and thei hadden tiel for stonus, and pitche for morter;
4 Y dijeron: Dad acá: Edifiquémosnos una ciudad, y una torre, que tenga la cabeza en el cielo: y hagámosnos nombrados; por ventura nos esparciremos sobre la haz de toda la tierra.
and seiden, Come ye, and make we to vs a citee and tour, whos hiynesse stretche `til to heuene; and make we solempne oure name bifor that we be departid in to alle londis.
5 Y descendió Jehová para ver la ciudad y la torre, que edificaban los hijos del hombre.
Forsothe the Lord cam down to se the citee and tour, which the sones of Adam bildiden.
6 Y dijo Jehová: He aquí, el pueblo es uno, y todos estos tienen un lenguaje, y ahora comienzan a hacer, y ahora no dejarán de ejecutar todo lo que han pensado hacer.
And he seide, Lo! the puple is oon, and o langage is to alle, and thei han bigunne to make this, nethir thei schulen ceesse of her thouytis, til thei fillen tho in werk; therfor come ye, go we doun,
7 Ahora pues, descendamos, y mezclemos allí sus lenguas, que ninguno entienda la lengua de su compañero.
and scheende we there the tunge of hem, that ech man here not the voys of his neiybore.
8 Así los esparció Jehová de allí sobre la haz de toda la tierra, y dejaron de edificar la ciudad.
And so the Lord departide hem fro that place in to alle londis; and thei cessiden to bielde a cytee.
9 Por esto fue llamado el nombre de ella Babel, porque allí mezcló Jehová el lenguaje de toda la tierra, y de allí los esparció sobre la haz de toda la tierra.
And therfor the name therof was clepid Babel, for the langage of al erthe was confoundide there; and fro thennus the Lord scaterede hem on the face of alle cuntrees.
10 Estas son las generaciones de Sem: Sem de edad de cien años engendró a Arfajad, dos años después del diluvio.
These ben the generaciouns of Sem. Sem was of an hundrid yeer whanne he gendride Arfaxath, twey yeer aftir the greet flood.
11 Y vivió Sem, después que engendró a Arfajad, quinientos años, y engendró hijos e hijas.
And Sem lyuede aftir that he gendride Arfaxath fyue hundrid yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
12 Y Arfajad vivió treinta y cinco años, y engendró a Sale.
Forsothe Arfaxath lyuede fyue and thretti yeer, and gendride Sale;
13 Y vivió Arfajad, después que engendró a Sale, cuatrocientos y tres años, y engendró hijos e hijas.
and Arfaxath lyuede aftir that he gendride Sale thre hundride and thre yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
14 Y vivió Sale treinta años, y engendró a Jeber.
Also Sale lyuede thretti yeer, and gendride Heber;
15 Y vivió Sale, después que engendró a Jeber, cuatrocientos y tres años, y engendró hijos e hijas.
and Sale lyuede after that he gendride Heber foure hundrid and thre yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
16 Y vivió Jeber treinta y cuatro años, y engendró a Faleg.
Sotheli Heber lyuede foure and thretti yeer, and gendride Falech;
17 Y vivió Jeber, después que engendró a Faleg, cuatrocientos y treinta años, y engendró hijos e hijas.
and Heber lyuede aftir that he gendride Falech foure hundrid and thretti yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
18 Y vivió Faleg treinta años, y engendró a Reu.
Also Falech lyuede thretti yeer, and gendride Reu;
19 Y vivió Faleg, después que engendró a Reu, doscientos y nueve años, y engendró hijos e hijas.
and Falech lyuede aftir that he gendride Reu two hundrid and nyne yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
20 Y Reu vivió treinta y dos años, y engendró a Sarug.
And Reu lyuede two and thretti yeer, and gendride Saruch;
21 Y vivió Reu, después que engendró a Sarug, doscientos y siete años, y engendró hijos e hijas.
and Reu lyuede aftir that he gendride Saruch two hundrid and seuene yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
22 Y vivió Sarug treinta años, y engendró a Nacor.
Sotheli Saruch lyuede thretti yeer, and gendride Nachor;
23 Y vivió Sarug, después que engendró a Nacor, doscientos años, y engendró hijos e hijas.
and Saruch lyuede aftir that he gendride Nacor two hundrid yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
24 Y vivió Nacor veinte y nueve años, y engendró a Tare.
Forsothe Nachor lyuede nyne and twenti yeer, and gendride Thare;
25 Y vivió Nacor, después que engendró a Tare, ciento y diez y nueve años, y engendró hijos e hijas.
and Nachor lyuede after that he gendride Thare an hundrid and nynetene yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
26 Y vivió Tare setenta años, y engendró a Abram, a Nacor, y a Arán.
And Thare lyuede seuenti yeer, and gendride Abram, and Nachor, and Aran.
27 Y estas son las generaciones de Tare. Tare engendró a Abram, y a Nacor, y a Arán; y Arán engendró a Lot.

28 Y murió Arán antes de su padre Tare, en la tierra de su naturaleza, en Ur de los Caldeos.
and Aran diede bifore Thare, his fadir, in the lond of his natiuite, in Vr of Caldeis.
29 Y tomaron Abram y Nacor para sí mujeres: el nombre de la mujer de Abram fue Sarai, y el nombre de la mujer de Nacor, Melca, hija de Arán, padre de Melca, y padre de Jesca.
Forsothe Abram and Nachor weddiden wyues; the name of the wijf of Abram was Saray, and the name of the wiif of Nachor was Melcha, the douyter of Aran, fadir of Melcha and fadir of Jescha.
30 Y Sarai fue estéril, que no tenía hijo.
Sotheli Saray was bareyn, and hadde no children.
31 Y tomó Tare a Abram su hijo, y a Lot hijo de Arán, hijo de su hijo, y a Sarai su nuera, mujer de Abram su hijo: y salió con ellos de Ur de los Caldeos, para ir a la tierra de Canaán: y vinieron hasta Harán: y asentaron allí.
And so Thare took Abram, his sone, and Loth, the sone of Aran his sone, and Saray, his douyter in lawe, the wijf of Abram, his sone, and ledde hem out of Vr of Caldeis, that thei schulen go in to the lond of Chanaan; and thei camen `til to Aran, and dwelliden there.
32 Y fueron los días de Tare doscientos y cinco años, y murió Tare en Harán.
And the daies of Thare weren maad two hundrid yeer and fyue, and he was deed in Aran.
