Ezequiel 29

1 En el año décimo, en el mes décimo, a los doce del mes, fue palabra de Jehová a mí, diciendo:

In the tenth year, in the tenth [month], on the twelfth of the month, a word of YHWH has been to me, saying,

2 Hijo del hombre, pon tu rostro contra Faraón rey de Egipto; y profetiza contra él, y contra todo Egipto.

“Son of man, set your face against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and prophesy concerning him, and concerning Egypt—all of it.

3 Habla, y dí: Así dijo el Señor Jehová, He aquí, yo contra ti, Faraón, rey de Egipto, el gran dragón que duerme en medio de sus ríos, que dijo: mío es mi río, y yo me lo hice.

Speak, and you have said, Thus said Lord YHWH: Behold, I [am] against you, Pharaoh king of Egypt! The great dragon that is crouching in the midst of his floods, Who has said, My flood [is] my own, And I have made it [for] myself.

4 Yo pues pondré anzuelos en tus mejillas, y pegaré los peces de tus ríos a tus escamas, y yo te sacaré de en medio de tus ríos, y todos los peces de tus ríos saldrán pegados a tus escamas.

And I have put hooks in your jaws, And I have caused the fish of your floods to cleave to your scales, And I have caused you to come up from the midst of your floods, And every fish of your floods cleaves to your scales.

5 Y dejarte he en el desierto, a ti y a todos los peces de tus ríos: sobre la haz del campo caerás; no serás recogido, ni serás juntado: a las bestias de la tierra, y a las aves del cielo te he dado por comida.

And I have left you in the wilderness, You and every fish of your floods, You fall on the face of the field, You are not gathered nor assembled, I have given you for food to the beast of the earth and to the bird of the heavens.

6 Y sabrán todos los moradores de Egipto que yo soy Jehová: por cuanto fueron bordón de caña a la casa de Israel.

And all inhabitants of Egypt have known That I [am] YHWH, Because of their being a staff of reed to the house of Israel.

7 Cuando te tomaren con la mano, te quebrarás, y les romperás todo el hombro; y cuando se recostaren sobre ti, te quebrarás, y hacerles has parar todos los riñones.

In their taking hold of you by your hand, You crush and have torn every shoulder of theirs, And in their leaning on you you are broken, And have caused all their thighs to stand.

8 Por tanto así dijo el Señor Jehová: He aquí que yo traigo contra ti espada, y talaré de ti hombres, y bestias.

Therefore, thus said Lord YHWH: Behold, I am bringing in a sword against you, And have cut off man and beast from you.

9 Y la tierra de Egipto será asolada y desierta; y sabrán que yo soy Jehová; porque dijo: Mi río, y yo lo hice.

And the land of Egypt has been for a desolation and a ruin, And they have known that I [am] YHWH, Because he said: The flood [is] mine, and I made [it].

10 Por tanto he aquí yo contra ti, y a tus ríos; y pondré la tierra de Egipto en asolamientos de la soledad del desierto: desde la torre de Sevené, hasta el término de Etiopía.

Therefore, behold, I [am] against you, and against your floods, And have given the land of Egypt for ruins, A dry place, a desolation, from Migdol to Syene, And to the border of Cush.

11 No pasará por ella pie de hombre, ni pie de bestia pasará por ella, ni será habitada por cuarenta años.

A foot of man does not pass over into it, Indeed, the foot of beast does not pass into it, Nor is it inhabited forty years.

12 Y pondré a la tierra de Egipto en soledad entre las tierras asoladas, y sus ciudades entre las ciudades destruidas serán asoladas por cuarenta años; y esparciré a Egipto entre las naciones, y aventarlos he por las tierras.

And I have made the land of Egypt a desolation, In the midst of desolate lands, And its cities, in the midst of cities [that are] laid waste, Are a desolation [for] forty years, And I have scattered the Egyptians among nations, And I have dispersed them through lands.

13 Porque así dijo el Señor Jehová: Al fin de cuarenta años juntaré a Egipto de los pueblos entre los cuales fueren esparcidos.

But thus said Lord YHWH: At the end of forty years I gather the Egyptians Out of the peoples to where they have been scattered,

14 Y tornaré a traer los cautivos de Egipto: yo los tornaré a la tierra de Patures, a la tierra de su habitación; y allí serán reino bajo.

And I have turned back [to] the captivity of Egypt, And I have brought them back [To] the land of Pathros, to the land of their birth, And they have been a low kingdom there.

15 En comparación de los otros reinos será humilde, ni más se alzará sobre las naciones; porque yo los disminuiré para que no se enseñoreen en las naciones.

It is lowest of the kingdoms, And it does not lift itself up above the nations anymore, And I have made them few, So as not to rule among nations.

16 Y no será más a la casa de Israel por confianza, que haga acordar el pecado, mirando en pos de ellos; y sabrán que yo soy el Señor Jehová.

And it is no longer for confidence to the house of Israel, Bringing iniquity to remembrance, By their turning after them, And they have known that I [am] Lord YHWH.”

17 Y aconteció en el año veinte y siete, en el mes primero, al primero del mes, que fue palabra de Jehová a mí, diciendo:

And it comes to pass, in the twenty-seventh year, in the first [month], on the first of the month, a word of YHWH has been to me, saying,

18 Hijo del hombre, Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, hizo servir a su ejército grande servidumbre contra Tiro: toda cabeza se descabelló, y todo hombro se peló; y ni para él ni para su ejército hubo paga de Tiro, por la servidumbre que sirvió contra ella.

“Son of man, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, Has caused his force to serve a great service against Tyre, Every head [is] bald—every shoulder peeled, And neither he, nor his force, had reward out of Tyre, For the service that he served against it.

19 Por tanto así dijo el Señor Jehová: He aquí que yo doy a Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, la tierra de Egipto; y él tomará su multitud, y despojará sus despojos, y robará su presa, y habrá paga para su ejército.

Therefore, thus said Lord YHWH: Behold, I am giving the land of Egypt to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, And he has taken away its store, And has taken its spoil, and taken its prey, And it has been a reward to his force.

20 Por su trabajo con que sirvió en ella yo le he dado la tierra de Egipto; porque hicieron por mí, dijo el Señor Jehová.

I have given to him his wage for which he labored—The land of Egypt, in that they worked for Me, A declaration of Lord YHWH.

21 En aquel tiempo haré reverdecer el cuerno a la casa de Israel, y yo te daré abertura de boca en medio de ellos; y sabrán que yo soy Jehová.

In that day I cause a horn to shoot up for the house of Israel, And I give an opening to your mouth in their midst, And they have known that I [am] YHWH!”
