Éxodo 14
1 Y habló Jehová a Moisés, diciendo:
Then the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,
2 Habla a los hijos de Israel, que den la vuelta, y asienten su campo delante de Pihahirot, entre Magdal y la mar hacia Baalzefón: delante de él asentaréis el campo junto a la mar.
Speake to the children of Israel, that they returne and campe before Pi-hahiroth, betweene Migdol and the Sea, ouer against Baal-zephon: about it shall ye campe by the Sea.
3 Porque Faraón dirá de los hijos de Israel: Encerrados están en la tierra, el desierto los ha encerrado.
For Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel, They are tangled in the land: the wildernesse hath shut them in.
4 Y yo endureceré el corazón de Faraón para que los siga, y seré glorificado en Faraón y en todo su ejército, y sabrán los Egipcios, que yo soy Jehová. Y ellos lo hicieron así.
And I will harden Pharaohs heart that hee shall follow after you: so I will get mee honour vpon Pharaoh, and vpon all his hoste: the Egyptians also shall knowe that I am the Lord: and they did so.
5 Y fue dado aviso al rey de Egipto como el pueblo se huía: y el corazón de Faraón y de sus siervos se volvió contra el pueblo, y dijeron: ¿Qué hemos hecho, que hemos dejado ir a Israel, que no nos sirva?
Then it was told the King of Egypt, that the people fled: and the heart of Pharaoh and of his seruants was turned against the people, and they sayde, Why haue we this done, and haue let Israel go out of our seruice?
6 Y unció su carro, y tomó consigo su pueblo;
And he made ready his charets, and tooke his people with him,
7 Y tomó seiscientos carros escogidos, y todos los carros de Egipto, y los capitanes sobre todos ellos.
And tooke sixe hundreth chosen charets, and all the charets of Egypt, and captaines ouer euery one of them.
8 Y endureció Jehová el corazón de Faraón rey de Egipto, y siguió a los hijos de Israel; y los hijos de Israel habían ya salido con gran poder.
(For the Lord had hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he followed after the children of Israel: but the children of Israel went out with an hie hand)
9 Y siguiéndolos los Egipcios, tomáronlos asentado el campo junto a la mar junto a Fihahirot delante de Baalzefón, toda la caballería y carros de Faraón, su gente de a caballo y todo su ejército.
And the Egyptians pursued after them, and all the horses and charets of Pharaoh, and his horsemen and his hoste ouertooke them camping by the Sea, beside Pi-hahiroth, before Baal-zephon.
10 Y como Faraón llegó, los hijos de Israel alzaron sus ojos, y he aquí los Egipcios que venían tras ellos, y temieron en gran manera, y clamaron los hijos de Israel a Jehová:
And when Pharaoh drew nie, the children of Israel lift vp their eyes, and beholde, the Egyptians marched after them, and they were sore afrayde: wherefore the children of Israel cried vnto the Lord.
11 Y dijeron a Moisés: ¿No había sepulcros en Egipto, que nos has sacado para que muramos en el desierto? ¿Por qué lo has hecho así con nosotros, que nos has sacado de Egipto?
And they sayde vnto Moses, Hast thou brought vs to die in the wildernes, because there were no graues in Egypt? wherefore hast thou serued vs thus, to carie vs out of Egypt?
12 ¿No es esto lo que te hablábamos en Egipto, diciendo: Déjanos servir a los Egipcios? Que mejor nos fuera servir a los Egipcios, que morir nosotros en el desierto.
Did not wee tell thee this thing in Egypt, saying, Let vs be in rest, that we may serue the Egyptians? for it had bene better for vs to serue the Egyptians, then that wee shoulde dye in the wildernesse.
13 Y Moisés dijo al pueblo: No tengáis miedo; estádos quedos, y ved la salud de Jehová, que él hará hoy con vosotros; porque los Egipcios, que hoy habéis visto, nunca más para siempre los veréis.
Then Moses sayde to the people, Feare ye not, stand still, and beholde the saluation of the Lord which he will shew to you this day. For the Egyptians, whome ye haue seene this day, ye shall neuer see them againe.
14 Jehová peleará por vosotros, y vosotros callaréis.
The Lord shall fight for you: therefore hold you your peace.
15 Entonces Jehová dijo a Moisés: ¿Por qué me das voces? Di a los hijos de Israel que marchen.
And the Lord sayd vnto Moses, Wherefore cryest thou vnto me? speake vnto the children of Israel that they go forward:
16 Y tú alza tu vara, y extiende tu mano sobre la mar, y pártela, y entren los hijos de Israel por medio de la mar en seco.
And lift thou vp thy rod, and stretche out thine hand vpon the Sea and deuide it, and let the children of Israel goe on drie ground thorow the middes of the Sea.
17 Y yo, he aquí, yo endurezco el corazón de los Egipcios, para que los sigan; y yo me glorificaré en Faraón, y en todo su ejército, y en sus carros, y en su caballería:
And I, beholde, I will harden the heart of the Egyptians, that they may follow them, and I wil get me honour vpon Pharaoh, and vpon all his host, vpon his charets, and vpon his horsemen.
18 Y sabrán los Egipcios, que yo soy Jehová, cuando me glorificaré en Faraón, en sus carros y en su gente de a caballo.
Then the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord, when I haue gotten me honour vpon Pharaoh, vpon his charets, and vpon his horsemen.
19 Y el ángel de Dios, que iba delante del campo de Israel, se quitó, e iba en pos de ellos: y asimismo la columna de nube, que iba delante de ellos, se quitó, y se puso a sus espaldas:
(And the Angel of God, which went before the hoste of Israel, remoued and went behinde them: also the pillar of the cloude went from before them, and stoode behinde them,
20 E iba entre el campo de los Egipcios, y el campo de Israel, y había nube y tinieblas, y alumbraba la noche, y en toda aquella noche nunca llegaron los unos a los otros.
And came betweene the campe of the Egyptians and the campe of Israel: it was both a cloude and darkenes, yet gaue it light by night, so that all the night long the one came not at the other)
21 Y extendió Moisés su mano sobre la mar, e hizo Jehová, que la mar se retirase por un gran viento oriental toda aquella noche, y tornó la mar en seco, y las aguas fueron partidas.
And Moses stretched forth his hande vpon the Sea, and the Lord caused the sea to runne backe by a strong East winde all the night, and made the Sea dry land: for the waters were deuided.
22 Entonces los hijos de Israel entraron por medio de la mar en seco; teniendo las aguas como un muro a su diestra y a su siniestra.
Then the children of Israel went through the middes of the Sea vpon the drie ground, and the waters were a wall vnto them on their right hand, and on their left hand.
23 Y siguiéndolos los Egipcios, entraron tras ellos hasta el medio de la mar, toda la caballería de Faraón, sus carros, y su gente de a caballo.
And the Egyptians pursued and went after them to the middes of the Sea, euen all Pharaohs horses, his charets, and his horsemen.
24 Y aconteció a la vela de la mañana, que Jehová miró al campo de los Egipcios en la columna de fuego y nube, y alborotó el campo de los Egipcios;
Nowe in the morning watche, when the Lord looked vnto the hoste of the Egyptians, out of the firie and cloudie pillar, he strooke the host of the Egyptians with feare.
25 Y quitóles las ruedas de sus carros, y trastornólos gravemente. Entonces los Egipcios dijeron: Huyamos de delante de Israel; porque Jehová pelea por ellos contra los Egipcios.
For he tooke off their charet wheeles, and they draue them with much a doe: so that the Egyptians euery one sayd, I wil flee from the face of Israel: for the Lord fighteth for them against the Egyptians.
26 Y Jehová dijo a Moisés: Extiende tu mano sobre la mar, para que las aguas se vuelvan sobre los Egipcios, sobre sus carros, y sobre su caballería.
Then the Lord sayde to Moses, Stretche thine hand vpon the Sea, that the waters may returne vpon the Egyptians, vpon their charets and vpon their horsemen.
27 Y Moisés extendió su mano sobre la mar, y la mar se volvió en su fuerza cuando amanecía, y los Egipcios iban hacia ella: y Jehová derribó a los Egipcios en medio de la mar.
Then Moses stretched forth his hand vpon the Sea, and the Sea returned to his force early in the morning, and the Egyptians fled against it: but the Lord ouerthrew the Egyptians in the mids of the Sea.
28 Y volvieron las aguas, y cubrieron los carros y la caballería; y todo el ejército de Faraón, que había entrado tras ellos en la mar: no quedó de ellos ni uno.
So the water returned and couered the charets and the horsemen, euen all the hoste of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them: there remained not one of them.
29 Y los hijos de Israel fueron por medio de la mar en seco, teniendo las aguas por muro a su diestra y a su siniestra.
But the children of Israel walked vpon dry land thorowe the middes of the Sea, and the waters were a wall vnto them on their right hande, and on their left.
30 Así salvó Jehová aquel día a Israel de mano de los Egipcios; e Israel vio a los Egipcios muertos a la orilla de la mar.
Thus the Lord saued Israel the same day out of the hand of the Egyptians, and Israel sawe the Egyptians dead vpon the Sea banke.
31 Y vio Israel aquel grande hecho que Jehová hizo contra los Egipcios; y el pueblo temió a Jehová, y creyeron a Jehová, y a Moisés su siervo.
And Israel saw the mightie power, which the Lord shewed vpon the Egyptians: so the people feared the Lord, and beleeued the Lord, and his seruant Moses.
