Efesios 6

1 Hijos, obedecéd a vuestros padres en el Señor; que esto es justo.

Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.

2 Honra a tu padre y a tu madre, (que es el primer mandamiento con promesa, )

Honour thy father and mother (which is the first commandement with promise)

3 Para que te vaya bien, y seas de larga vida sobre la tierra.

That it may be well with thee, and that thou mayst liue long on earth.

4 Y vosotros, padres, no provoquéis a ira a vuestros hijos; sino criádlos en la disciplina y amonestación del Señor.

And ye, fathers, prouoke not your children to wrath: but bring them vp in instruction and information of the Lord.

5 Siervos, obedecéd a los que son vuestros señores según la carne con temor y temblor, en la integridad de vuestro corazón, como a Cristo:

Seruants, be obedient vnto them that are your masters, according to the flesh, with feare and trembling in singlenesse of your hearts as vnto Christ,

6 No sirviendo al ojo, como los que agradan a los hombres; sino como siervos de Cristo, haciendo de ánimo la voluntad de Dios:

Not with seruice to the eye, as men pleasers, but as the seruants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart,

7 Sirviendo con buena voluntad, como quien sirve al Señor, y no solo a los hombres:

With good will, seruing the Lord, and not men.

8 Sabiendo que el bien que cada uno hiciere, eso mismo recibirá del Señor, ya sea siervo, o ya sea libre.

And knowe ye that whatsoeuer good thing any man doeth, that same shall he receiue of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.

9 Y vosotros, señores, hacédles a ellos lo mismo, dejando las amenazas: sabiendo que el Señor de ellos y el vuestro está en los cielos; y no hay respeto de personas para con él.

And ye masters, doe the same things vnto them, putting away threatning: and know that euen your master also is in heauen, neither is there respect of person with him.

10 En fin, hermanos míos, sed fuertes en el Señor, y en el poder de su fortaleza.

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

11 Vestíos de toda la armadura de Dios, para que podáis estar firmes contra las asechanzas del diablo.

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the assaultes of the deuil.

12 Porque no solamente tenemos lucha con sangre y carne; sino con principados, con potestades, con los gobernadores de las tinieblas de este siglo, con malicias espirituales en lugares altos. (aiōn g165)

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, and against the worldly gouernours, the princes of the darkenesse of this worlde, against spirituall wickednesses, which are in ye hie places. (aiōn g165)

13 Por tanto tomád toda la armadura de Dios, para que podáis resistir en el día malo, y superado todo, estar en pie.

For this cause take vnto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to resist in the euill day, and hauing finished all things, stand fast.

14 Estád pues firmes, ceñidos los lomos de verdad; y vestidos de coraza de justicia;

Stand therefore, and your loynes girded about with veritie, and hauing on the brest plate of righteousnesse,

15 Y calzados los pies con la preparación del evangelio de paz:

And your feete shod with the preparation of the Gospel of peace.

16 Sobre todo, tomando el escudo de la fe, con el cual podréis apagar todos los dardos encendidos del maligno.

Aboue all, take the shielde of faith, wherewith ye may quench all the fierie dartes of the wicked,

17 Y el yelmo de salud tomád, y la espada del Espíritu, que es la palabra de Dios:

And take the helmet of saluation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the worde of God.

18 Orando en todo tiempo con toda oración y ruego en el Espíritu, y velando para ello con toda instancia y suplicación por todos los santos;

And pray alwayes with all maner prayer and supplication in the Spirit: and watch thereunto with all perseuerance and supplication for al Saints,

19 Y por mí, que me sea dada palabra con abrimiento de mi boca con confianza, para hacer notorio el misterio del evangelio:

And for me, that vtterance may be giuen vnto me, that I may open my mouth boldly to publish the secret of the Gospel,

20 Por el cual soy embajador en cadenas: para que en ellas hable osadamente, como debo hablar.

Whereof I am the ambassadour in bonds, that therein I may speake boldely, as I ought to speake.

21 Mas porque también vosotros sepáis mis negocios, y lo que yo hago, todo os lo hará saber Tíquico, hermano amado, y fiel ministro en el Señor:

But that ye may also know mine affaires, and what I doe, Tychicus my deare brother and faithfull minister in the Lord, shall shewe you of all things,

22 El cual os he enviado para esto mismo, para que entendáis lo que pasa entre nosotros, y para que consuele vuestros corazones.

Whom I haue sent vnto you for the same purpose, that ye might knowe mine affaires, and that he might comfort your hearts.

23 Paz sea a los hermanos, y amor con fe de Dios Padre, y d el Señor Jesu Cristo.

Peace be with the brethren, and loue with faith from God the Father, and from the Lord Iesus Christ.

24 Gracia sea con todos los que aman a nuestro Señor Jesu Cristo en incorrupción. Amén. Escrita de Roma a los Efesios por Tíquico.

Grace be with all them which loue our Lord Iesus Christ, to their immortalitie, Amen. ‘Written from Rome vnto the Ephesians, and sent by Tychicus.’
