Deuteronomio 11
1 Amarás pues a Jehová tu Dios, y guardarás su observancia, y sus estatutos y sus derechos, y sus mandamientos todos los días.
Therefore you shall love the LORD your God, and keep his charge, and his statutes, and his judgments, and his commandments, always.
2 Y sepáis hoy, que no hablo con vuestros hijos, que no han sabido ni visto el castigo de Jehová vuestro Dios, su grandeza, su mano fuerte, y su brazo extendido:
And know you this day: for I speak not with your children which have not known, and which have not seen the chastisement of the LORD your God, his greatness, his mighty hand, and his stretched out arm,
3 Y sus señales, y sus hechos que hizo en medio de Egipto a Faraón rey de Egipto, y a toda su tierra.
And his miracles, and his acts, which he did in the middle of Egypt to Pharaoh the king of Egypt, and to all his land;
4 Y lo que hizo al ejército de Egipto, a sus caballos, y a sus carros, que hizo ondear las aguas del mar Bermejo sobre sus faces cuando vinieron en pos de vosotros, y Jehová los destruyó hasta hoy.
And what he did to the army of Egypt, to their horses, and to their chariots; how he made the water of the Red sea to overflow them as they pursued after you, and how the LORD has destroyed them to this day;
5 Y lo que ha hecho con vosotros en el desierto hasta que habéis llegado a este lugar.
And what he did to you in the wilderness, until you came into this place;
6 Y lo que hizo con Datán y Abirón, hijos de Eliab, hijo de Rubén, que abrió la tierra su boca, y tragó a ellos y a sus casas, y sus tiendas, y toda la hicienda, que tenían en pie en medio de todo Israel.
And what he did to Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, the son of Reuben: how the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their households, and their tents, and all the substance that was in their possession, in the middle of all Israel:
7 Mas vuestros ojos han visto todos los grandes hechos que Jehová ha hecho.
But your eyes have seen all the great acts of the LORD which he did.
8 Guardád pues todos los mandamientos, que yo os mando hoy, para que seáis esforzados, y entréis, y heredéis la tierra, a la cual pasáis para heredarla;
Therefore shall you keep all the commandments which I command you this day, that you may be strong, and go in and possess the land, where you go to possess it;
9 Y porque os sean prolongados los días sobre la tierra, que juró Jehová a vuestros padres que había de dar a ellos y a su simiente, tierra que corre leche y miel.
And that you may prolong your days in the land, which the LORD swore to your fathers to give to them and to their seed, a land that flows with milk and honey.
10 Que la tierra a la cual entras para heredarla, no es como la tierra de Egipto, de donde habéis salido, que sembrabas tu simiente, y regabas con tu pie, como huerto de legumbres.
For the land, where you go in to possess it, is not as the land of Egypt, from where you came out, where you sowed your seed, and watered it with your foot, as a garden of herbs:
11 La tierra a la cual pasáis para heredarla, es tierra de montes y de vegas: de la lluvia del cielo has de beber las aguas.
But the land, where you go to possess it, is a land of hills and valleys, and drinks water of the rain of heaven:
12 Tierra que Jehová tu Dios la procura: siempre están sobre ella los ojos de Jehová tu Dios desde el principio del año hasta el cabo del año.
A land which the LORD your God cares for: the eyes of the LORD your God are always on it, from the beginning of the year even to the end of the year.
13 Y será que si obedeciendo obedeciereis a mis mandamientos, que yo os mando hoy, amando a Jehová vuestro Dios, y sirviéndole con todo vuestro corazón, y con toda vuestra alma,
And it shall come to pass, if you shall listen diligently to my commandments which I command you this day, to love the LORD your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul,
14 Yo daré la lluvia de vuestra tierra en su tiempo, temprana y tardía, y cogerás tu grano, y tu vino, y tu aceite.
That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your corn, and your wine, and your oil.
15 Y daré yerba en tu campo para tus bestias, y comerás y hartarte has.
And I will send grass in your fields for your cattle, that you may eat and be full.
16 Guardáos pues, que vuestro corazón no se entontezca, y os apartéis, y sirváis a dioses ajenos, y os inclinéis a ellos;
Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and you turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them;
17 Y se encienda el furor de Jehová sobre vosotros, y cierre los cielos, y no haya lluvia, ni la tierra dé su fruto, y perezcáis presto de la buena tierra que Jehová os da.
And then the LORD’s wrath be kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and lest you perish quickly from off the good land which the LORD gives you.
18 Mas pondréis estas mis palabras en vuestro corazón y en vuestra alma: y atarlas heis por señal en vuestra mano, y serán por frontales entre vuestros ojos.
Therefore shall you lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign on your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes.
19 Y enseñarlas heis a vuestros hijos, para que habléis de ellas, sentado en tu casa, andando por el camino, acostándote en la cama, y levantándote.
And you shall teach them your children, speaking of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.
20 Y escribirlas has en los postes de tu casa, y en tus portadas.
And you shall write them on the door posts of your house, and on your gates:
21 Para que sean aumentados vuestros días, y los días de vuestros hijos sobre la tierra que juró Jehová a vuestros padres que les había de dar, como los días de los cielos sobre la tierra.
That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the LORD swore to your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven on the earth.
22 Porque si guardando guardareis todos estos mandamientos, que yo os mando, para que los hagáis, que améis a Jehová vuestro Dios andando en todos sus caminos, y os allegareis a él:
For if you shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, and to join to him;
23 Jehová también echará todas estas gentes de delante de vosotros, y poseeréis gentes grandes y fuertes más que vosotros.
Then will the LORD drive out all these nations from before you, and you shall possess greater nations and mightier than yourselves.
24 Todo lugar que pisare la planta de vuestro pie, será vuestro: desde el desierto, y el Líbano: desde el río, el río Éufrates hasta la mar postrera será vuestro término.
Every place where on the soles of your feet shall tread shall be yours: from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even to the uttermost sea shall your coast be.
25 Nadie parará delante de vosotros: vuestro miedo y vuestro temor pondrá Jehová vuestro Dios sobre la haz de toda la tierra que hollareis, como él os ha dicho.
There shall no man be able to stand before you: for the LORD your God shall lay the fear of you and the dread of you on all the land that you shall tread on, as he has said to you.
26 Mira: Yo pongo hoy delante de vosotros la bendición, y la maldición:
Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse;
27 La bendición, si oyereis los mandamientos de Jehová vuestro Dios, que yo os mando hoy:
A blessing, if you obey the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you this day:
28 Y la maldición, si no oyereis los mandamientos de Jehová vuestro Dios, mas os apartareis del camino, que yo os mando hoy para andar en pos de los dioses ajenos que no conocisteis.
And a curse, if you will not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which you have not known.
29 Y será, que cuando Jehová tu Dios te metiere en la tierra a la cual entras para heredarla, pondrás la bendición sobre el monte Garizim, y la maldición sobre el monte Hebal:
And it shall come to pass, when the LORD your God has brought you in to the land where you go to possess it, that you shall put the blessing on mount Gerizim, and the curse on mount Ebal.
30 Los cuales están de la otra parte del Jordán, tras el camino del occidente en la tierra del Cananeo, que habita en la campaña delante de Galgal, junto a los llanos de More.
Are they not on the other side Jordan, by the way where the sun goes down, in the land of the Canaanites, which dwell in the desert over against Gilgal, beside the plains of Moreh?
31 Porque vosotros pasáis el Jordán para ir a heredar la tierra que Jehová vuestro Dios os da: la cual heredaréis: y habitaréis en ella.
For you shall pass over Jordan to go in to possess the land which the LORD your God gives you, and you shall possess it, and dwell therein.
32 Guardaréis pues que hagáis todos los estatutos, y derechos, que yo doy delante de vosotros hoy.
And you shall observe to do all the statutes and judgments which I set before you this day.
