Daniel 12

1 Mas en aquel tiempo Micael el gran príncipe, que está por los hijos de tu pueblo, se levantará; y será tiempo de angustia, cual nunca fue después que hubo gente hasta entonces: mas en aquel tiempo tu pueblo escapará, es a saber, todos los que se hallaren escritos en el libro.

And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince who standeth for the children of thy people; and there shall be a time of distress, such as never was since there was a nation until that time. And at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that is found written in the book.

2 Y muchos de los que duermen en el polvo de la tierra serán despertados, unos para vida eterna, y otros para vergüenza, y confusión perpetua.

And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame, to everlasting contempt.

3 Y los entendidos resplandecerán, como el resplandor del firmamento; y los que enseñan a justicia la multitud, como las estrellas a perpetua eternidad.

And they that are wise shall shine as the brightness of the expanse; and they that turn the many to righteousness as the stars, for ever and ever.

4 Tú pues, Daniel, cierra las palabras, y sella el libro hasta el tiempo del fin: pasarán muchos, y multiplicarse ha la ciencia.

And thou, Daniel, close the words, and seal the book, till the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

5 Y yo Daniel miré, y he aquí otros dos que estaban, el uno de esta parte a la orilla del río, y el otro de la otra parte, a la orilla del río.

And I Daniel looked, and behold, there stood other two, the one on this side, on the bank of the river, and the other on that side, on the bank of the river.

6 Y uno dijo al varón vestido de lienzos, que estaba sobre las aguas del río: ¿Cuándo será el fin de las maravillas?

And he said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, How long [is it to] the end of these wonders?

7 Y oí al varón vestido de lienzos que estaba sobre las aguas del río, el cual alzó su diestra y su siniestra al cielo, y juró por el viviente en los siglos: Que por tiempo, tiempos, y la mitad; y cuando se acabare el esparcimiento del escuadrón del pueblo santo, todas estas cosas serán cumplidas.

And I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river; and he held up his right hand and his left hand unto the heavens, and swore by him that liveth for ever that it is for a time, times, and a half; and when the scattering of the power of the holy people shall be accomplished, all these things shall be finished.

8 Y yo oí, mas no entendí; y dije: Señor mío, ¿qué es el cumplimiento de estas cosas?

And I heard, but I understood not. And I said, My lord, what shall be the end of these things?

9 Y dijo: Anda, Daniel, que estas palabras serán cerradas y selladas hasta el tiempo del cumplimiento.

And he said, Go thy way, Daniel; for these words are closed and sealed till the time of the end.

10 Muchos serán limpios, y emblanquecidos, y purgados; e impíos se empeorarán, y ninguno de los impíos entenderá: mas entenderán los entendidos.

Many shall be purified, and be made white, and be refined; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

11 Mas desde el tiempo que fuere quitado el continuo sacrificio, hasta la abominación espantosa, habrá mil y doscientos y noventa días.

And from the time that the continual [sacrifice] is taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, [there shall be] a thousand, two hundred, and ninety days.

12 Bienaventurado el que esperare, y llegare hasta mil y trescientos y treinta y cinco días.

Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and thirty-five days!

13 Y tú irás a el fin, y reposarás, y levantarte has en tu suerte al fin de los días.

But do thou go thy way until the end; and thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.
