Amós 5

1 Oíd esta palabra, porque yo levanto endecha sobre vosotros, casa de Israel.

Here ye this word, for Y reise on you a weilyng.

2 Cayó, nunca más se levantará la virgen de Israel: fue dejada sobre su tierra, no hay quien la levante.

The hous of Israel felle doun, he schal not put to, that it rise ayen; the virgyn of Israel is cast doun in to hir lond, noon is that schal reise hir.

3 Porque así dijo el Señor Jehová: la ciudad que sacaba mil, quedará con ciento; y la que sacaba ciento, quedará con diez en la casa de Israel.

For the Lord God seith these thingis, The citee of which a thousynde wenten out, an hundrid schulen be left ther ynne; and of which an hundrid wenten out, ten schulen be left ther ynne, in the hous of Israel.

4 Porque así dijo Jehová a la casa de Israel: Buscádme, y vivíd.

For the Lord seith these thingis to the hous of Israel, Seke ye me, and ye schulen lyue;

5 Y no busquéis a Bet-el, ni entréis en Gálgala, ni paséis a Beer-seba; porque Gálgala será llevada en cautividad, y Bet-el será deshecha.

and nyle ye seke Bethel, and nyle ye entre in to Galgala, and ye schulen not passe to Bersabee; for whi Galgal schal be led caitif, and Bethel schal be vnprofitable.

6 Buscád a Jehová, y vivíd; porque no hienda, como fuego, a la casa de José, y la consuma, y no haya en Bet-el quien lo apague.

Seke ye the Lord, and lyue ye, lest perauenture the hous of Joseph be brent as fier; and it schal deuoure Bethel, and there schal not be, that schal quenche.

7 Que convierten en ajenjo el juicio, y dejan en tierra la justicia.

Whiche conuerten doom in to wermod, and forsaken riytwisnesse in the lond,

8 El que hace el Arcturo y el Orión, y las tinieblas vuelve en mañana, y hace oscurecer el día en noche: el que llama a las aguas de la mar, y las derrama sobre la haz de la tierra, Jehová es su nombre.

and forsaken hym that makith Arture and Orion, and hym that turneth derknessis in to the morewtid, and him that chaungith dai in to niyt; which clepith watris of the see, and heldith out hem on the face of erthe; the Lord is name of hym.

9 El que da esfuerzo al robador sobre el fuerte, y que el robador venga contra la fortaleza.

Which scorneth distriyng on the stronge, and bringith robbyng on the myyti.

10 Aborrecieron en la puerta al reprensor, y al que hablaba lo recto abominaron.

Thei hatiden a man repreuynge in the yate, and thei wlatiden a man spekynge perfitli.

11 Por tanto por vuestro molestar al pobre, y recibís de él carga de trigo, edificasteis casas de sillares, mas no las habitaréis: plantasteis hermosas viñas, mas no beberéis el vino de ellas.

Therfor for that that ye robbiden a pore man, and token fro hym the chosun prey, ye schulen bilde housis with square stoon, and ye schulen not dwelle in hem; ye schulen plaunte moost louyd vyneyerdis, and ye schulen not drynke the wyn of hem.

12 Porque sabido he vuestras muchas rebeliones, y vuestros gruesos pecados: que afligen al justo, y reciben cohecho, y a los pobres en la puerta hacen perder su causa.

For Y knew youre grete trespassis many, and youre stronge synnes; enemyes of `the riytwis man, takynge yifte, and berynge doun pore men in the yate.

13 Por lo cual el prudente en tal tiempo calla, porque el tiempo es malo.

Therfor a prudent man schal be stille in that time, for the time is yuel.

14 Buscád lo bueno, y no lo malo, para que viváis: porque así será con vosotros Jehová Dios de los ejércitos, como decís.

Seke ye good, and not yuel, that ye lyue, and the Lord God of oostis schal be with you, as ye seiden.

15 Aborrecéd el mal, y amád el bien, y ponéd juicio en la puerta: quizá Jehová Dios de los ejércitos habrá piedad de la resta de José.

Hate ye yuel, and loue ye good, and ordeyne ye in the gate doom; if perauenture the Lord God of oostis haue merci on the remenauntis of Joseph.

16 Por tanto así dijo Jehová Dios de los ejércitos, el Señor: En todas las plazas habrá llanto, y en todas las calles dirán; ¡Ay, ay! y al labrador llamarán a lloro, y a endecha, a los que supieren endechar.

Therfor the Lord God of oostis, hauynge lordschipe, seith these thingis, Weilyng schal be in alle stretis, and in alle thingis that ben withoutforth it schal be seid, Wo! wo! and thei schulen clepe an erthe tilier to mourenyng, and hem that kunnen weile, to weilyng.

17 Y en todas las viñas habrá llanto, porque pasaré por medio de ti, dijo Jehová.

And weilyng schal be in alle weies, for Y schal passe forth in the myddil of `the see, seith the Lord.

18 ¡Ay de los que desean el día de Jehová! ¿para qué queréis este día de Jehová? Tinieblas, y no luz.

Wo to hem that desiren the dai of the Lord; wher to desiren ye it to you? This dai of the Lord schal be derknessis, and not liyt.

19 Como el que huye de delante del león, y se topa con el oso; o, si entrare en casa, y arrime su mano a la pared, y le muerda la culebra.

As if a man renne fro the face of a lioun, and a bere renne to hym; and he entre in to the hous, and lene with his hond on the wal, and a serpent dwellynge in schadewe bite hym.

20 ¿El día de Jehová, no es tinieblas, y no luz: oscuridad, que no tiene resplandor?

Whether the dai of the Lord schal not be derknessis, and not liyt; and myist, and not schynyng ther ynne?

21 Aborrecí, abominé vuestras solemnidades, y no me darán buen olor vuestras congregaciones.

Y hatide and castide awei youre feeste daies, and Y schal not take the odour of youre cumpenyes.

22 Y si me ofreciereis holocaustos y vuestros presentes, no los recibiré: ni miraré a los sacrificios pacíficos de vuestros engordados.

That if ye offren to me youre brent sacrifices, and yiftis, Y schal not resseyue, and Y schal not biholde avowis of youre fatte thingis.

23 Quita de mí la multitud de tus cantares; y las salmodias de tus instrumentos no oiré.

Do thou awei fro me the noise of thi songis, and Y schal not here the songis of thin harpe.

24 Y corra como las aguas el juicio, y la justicia como arroyo impetuoso.

And doom schal be schewid as watir, and riytfulnesse as a strong streem.

25 ¿Habéisme ofrecido sacrificios y presente en el desierto en cuarenta años, casa de Israel?

Whether ye, the hous of Israel, offriden to me sacrifices for enemyes to be ouercomun, and sacrifice in desert fourti yeeris?

26 Y ofrecisteis a Sicut, vuestro rey, y a Quión, vuestros ídolos, estrella de vuestros dioses que os hicisteis.

And ye han bore tabernaclis to Moloch, youre god, and ymage of youre idols, the sterre of youre god, which ye maden to you.

27 Haréos pues trasportar de ese cabo de Damasco, dijo Jehová, Dios de los ejércitos es su nombre.

And Y schal make you for to passe ouer Damask, seide the Lord; God of oostis is the name of him.
