Hechos 2
1 Y cuando hubo venido cumplidamente el día de Pentecostés, estaban todos unánimes en un mismo lugar.
And when the day of Pentecost was come, they were al with one accord in one place.
2 Y de repente vino un estruendo del cielo como de un viento vehemente que venía con ímpetu, el cual hinchió toda la casa donde estaban sentados.
And suddenly there came a sounde from heauen, as of a russhing and mightie winde, and it filled all the house where they sate.
3 Y les aparecieron lenguas repartidas como de fuego, y se asentó sobre cada uno de ellos.
And there appeared vnto them clouen tongues, like fire, and it sate vpon eche of them.
4 Y fueron todos llenos del Espíritu Santo, y comenzaron a hablar en otras lenguas, como el Espíritu les daba que hablasen.
And they were all filled with the holy Ghost, and began to speake with other tongues, as the Spirit gaue them vtterance.
5 (Moraban entonces en Jerusalem Judíos, varones religiosos de todas las naciones que están debajo del cielo.)
And there were dwelling at Hierusalem Iewes, men that feared God, of euery nation vnder heauen.
6 Y hecho este estruendo, se juntó la multitud; y estaban confusos, porque cada uno les oía hablar su propia lengua.
Nowe when this was noised, the multitude came together and were astonied, because that euery man heard them speake his owne language.
7 Y estaban todos atónitos y maravillados, diciendo los unos a los otros: He aquí, ¿no son Galileos todos estos que hablan?
And they wondered al, and marueiled, saying among themselues, Beholde, are not all these which speake, of Galile?
8 ¿Cómo, pues, los oímos nosotros hablar cada uno en su lengua en que somos nacidos?
How then heare we euery man our owne language, wherein we were borne?
9 Partos, y Medos, y Elamitas, y los que habitamos en Mesopotamia, en Judea, y en Capadocia, en el Ponto, y en Asia,
Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the inhabitants of Mesopotamia, and of Iudea, and of Cappadocia, of Pontus, and Asia,
10 En Frigia, y en Pamfilia, en Egipto, y en las partes de Libia que están de la otra parte de Cirene, y extranjeros de Roma, Judíos, y prosélitos,
And of Phrygia, and Pamphylia, of Egypt, and of the partes of Libya, which is beside Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, and Iewes, and Proselytes,
11 Cretenses, y Árabes: los oímos hablar en nuestras lenguas las maravillas de Dios.
Creetes, and Arabians: wee hearde them speake in our owne tongues the wonderful works of God.
12 Y estaban todos atónitos y en duda, diciendo los unos a los otros: ¿Qué quiere ser esto?
They were all then amased, and douted, saying one to another, What may this be?
13 Mas otros burlándose, decían: Estos están llenos de mosto.
And others mocked, and saide, They are full of newe wine.
14 Entonces Pedro poniéndose en pie con los once, alzó su voz, y les habló, diciendo: Varones de Judea, y todos los que habitáis en Jerusalem, esto os sea notorio, y prestád oídos a mis palabras;
But Peter standing with ye Eleuen, lift vp his voice, and said vnto them, Ye men of Iudea, and ye all that inhabite Hierusalem, be this knowen vnto you, and hearken vnto my woordes.
15 Porque estos no están borrachos, como vosotros pensáis, siendo solamente la hora de tercia del día.
For these are not drunken, as yee suppose, since it is but the third houre of the day.
16 Mas esto es lo que fue dicho por el profeta Joel:
But this is that, which was spoken by the Prophet Ioel,
17 Y será en los postreros días, (dice Dios, ) que derramaré de mi Espíritu sobre toda carne; y vuestros hijos, y vuestras hijas profetizarán, y vuestros jóvenes verán visiones, y vuestros viejos soñarán sueños.
And it shalbe in the last daies, saith God, I wil powre out of my Spirite vpon al flesh, and your sonnes, and your daughters shall prophecie, and your yong men shall see visions, and your old men shall dreame dreames.
18 Y de cierto sobre mis siervos, y sobre mis criadas en aquellos días derramaré de mi Espíritu; y profetizarán.
And on my seruauntes, and on mine handmaides I will powre out of my Spirite in those daies, and they shall prophecie.
19 Y daré prodigios arriba en el cielo, y señales abajo en la tierra, sangre, y fuego, y vapor de humo.
And I wil shew wonders in heauen aboue, and tokens in the earth beneath, blood, and fire, and the vapour of smoke.
20 El sol se volverá en tinieblas, y la luna en sangre, antes que venga el día del Señor grande e ilustre.
The Sunne shalbe turned into darkenesse, and the moone into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come.
21 Y acontecerá, que todo aquel que invocare el nombre del Señor, será salvo.
And it shalbe, that whosoeuer shall call on the Name of the Lord, shalbe saued.
22 Varones Israelitas, oíd estas palabras: Jesús el Nazareno, varón aprobado de Dios entre vosotros en maravillas, y prodigios, y señales que Dios hizo por él en medio de vosotros, como también vosotros sabéis:
Yee men of Israel, heare these woordes, JESUS of Nazareth, a man approued of God among you with great workes, and wonders, and signes, which God did by him in the middes of you, as yee your selues also knowe:
23 A éste, entregado por determinado consejo y providencia de Dios, tomándo le vosotros, le matasteis por manos inicuas, crucificándole.
Him, I say, being deliuered by the determinate counsell, and foreknowledge of God, after you had taken, with wicked handes you haue crucified and slaine.
24 Al cual Dios levantó, sueltos los dolores de la muerte; por cuanto era imposible ser detenido de ella.
Whome God hath raised vp, and loosed the sorrowes of death, because it was vnpossible that he should be holden of it.
25 Porque David dice de él: Yo veía al Señor siempre delante de mí; porque le tengo a mi diestra, no seré movido:
For Dauid sayeth concerning him, I beheld the Lord alwaies before me: for hee is at my right hand, that I should not be shaken.
26 Por lo cual mi corazón se alegró, y mi lengua se regocijó, y aun mi carne descansará en esperanza:
Therefore did mine heart reioyce, and my tongue was glad, and moreouer also my flesh shall rest in hope,
Because thou wilt not leaue my soule in graue, neither wilt suffer thine Holy one to see corruption. (Hadēs g86)
28 Me hiciste conocer los caminos de la vida: henchirme has de gozo con tu presencia.
Thou hast shewed me the waies of life, and shalt make me full of ioy with thy countenance.
29 Varones y hermanos, se os puede libremente decir del patriarca David, que murió, y fue sepultado, y su sepulcro está con nosotros hasta el día de hoy.
Men and brethren, I may boldly speake vnto you of the Patriarke Dauid, that hee is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre remaineth with vs vnto this day.
30 Así que siendo profeta, y sabiendo que con juramento le había Dios jurado, que del fruto de sus lomos en cuanto a la carne, le levantaría el Cristo, que se asentase sobre su trono:
Therefore, seeing hee was a Prophet, and knewe that God had sworne with an othe to him, that of the fruite of his loynes hee woulde raise vp Christ concerning the flesh, to set him vpon his throne,
31 Viendo esto antes, habló de la resurrección del Cristo, que su alma no haya sido dejada en el infierno, ni su carne haya visto corrupción. (Hadēs g86)
Hee knowing this before, spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soule shoulde not bee left in graue, neither his flesh shoulde see corruption. (Hadēs g86)
32 A este Jesús resucitó Dios, de lo cual todos nosotros somos testigos.
This Iesus hath God raised vp, whereof we all are witnesses.
33 Así que ensalzado por la diestra de Dios, y recibiendo del Padre la promesa del Espíritu Santo, ha derramado esto que vosotros ahora veis y oís.
Since then that he by the right hande of God hath bene exalted, and hath receiued of his Father the promise of the holy Ghost, hee hath shed foorth this which yee nowe see and heare.
34 Porque David no ha subido a los cielos; empero él dice: Dijo el Señor a mi Señor, asiéntate a mi diestra,
For Dauid is not ascended into heauen, but he sayth, The Lord sayd to my Lord, Sit at my right hande,
35 Hasta que ponga tus enemigos por estrado de tus pies.
Vntill I make thine enemies thy footestoole.
36 Sepa pues certísimamente toda la casa de Israel, que a éste ha hecho Dios Señor y Cristo, a este Jesús que vosotros crucificasteis.
Therefore, let all the house of Israel know for a suretie, that God hath made him both Lord, and Christ, this Iesus, I say, whome yee haue crucified.
37 Y oídas estas cosas, fueron compungidos de corazón, y dijeron a Pedro, y a los otros apóstoles: Varones y hermanos, ¿qué haremos?
Now when they heard it, they were pricked in their heartes, and said vnto Peter and the other Apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we doe?
38 Entonces Pedro les dijo: Arrepentíos, y sed bautizados cada uno de vosotros en el nombre de Jesu Cristo para remisión de los pecados; y recibiréis el don del Espíritu Santo.
Then Peter said vnto them, Amend your liues, and bee baptized euery one of you in the Name of Iesus Christ for the remission of sinnes: and ye shall receiue the gift of the holy Ghost.
39 Porque a vosotros es hecha la promesa, y a vuestros hijos, y a todos los que están lejos: a cualesquiera que el Señor nuestro Dios llamare.
For the promise is made vnto you, and to your children, and to all that are a farre off, euen as many as the Lord our God shall call.
40 Y con otras muchas palabras testificaba, y los exhortaba, diciendo: Salváos de esta perversa generación.
And with many other words he besought and exhorted them, saying, Saue your selues from this froward generation.
41 Entonces los que recibieron con gusto su palabra fueron bautizados; y fueron añadidas a la iglesia aquel día como tres mil almas.
Then they that gladly receiued his word, were baptized: and the same day there were added to the Church about three thousand soules.
42 Y perseveraban en la doctrina de los apóstoles, y en la comunión, y en el rompimiento del pan, y en las oraciones.
And they continued in the Apostles doctrine, and fellowship, and breaking of bread, and prayers.
43 Y toda alma tenía temor; y muchas maravillas y señales eran hechas por los apóstoles.
And feare came vpon euery soule: and many wonders and signes were done by ye Apostles.
44 Y todos los que creían estaban juntos; y tenían todas las cosas comunes.
And all that beleeued, were in one place, and had all things common.
45 Y vendían las posesiones y las haciendas, y las repartían a todos, como cada uno había menester.
And they sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all me, as euery one had need.
46 Y perseverando unánimes cada día en el templo, y rompiendo el pan en las casas, comían juntos con alegría y con sencillez de corazón,
And they continued dayly with one accord in the Temple, and breaking bread at home, did eate their meate together with gladnesse and singlenesse of heart,
47 Alabando a Dios, y teniendo favor cerca de todo el pueblo. Y el Señor añadía cada día a la iglesia los que habían de ser salvos.
Praysing God, and had fauour with all the people: and the Lord added to the Church from day to day, such as should be saued.
