3 Juan 1
1 El anciano al bien amado Gayo, al cual yo amo en verdad.
The elder To Gaius the beloved whom I myself love in truth.
2 Mi amado, yo deseo muy mucho que tú seas prosperado en todas cosas, y que tengas salud, así como tu alma está en prosperidad.
Beloved, concerning all things I pray you to do well and to be in good health even as does well your soul.
3 Porque yo me regocijé grandemente, cuando vinieron los hermanos, y dieron testimonio de tu verdad; como tú andas en la verdad.
I rejoiced for exceedingly when were coming [the] brothers and those bearing witness from you to the to truth, even as you yourself in truth are walking.
4 Yo no tengo mayor gozo que estas cosas, y es de oír que mis hijos andan en la verdad.
Greater than these things not I have (joy *NK+O) that I may hear of my children in (the *no) truth walking.
5 Amado, fielmente haces todo lo que haces para con los hermanos, y con los extranjeros;
Beloved, faithfully you are doing whatever maybe you shall do for the brothers and (for *k) (that [thing] *N+kO) strangers,
6 Los cuales han dado testimonio de tu amor en presencia de la iglesia: a los cuales si ayudares como conviene según Dios, harás bien.
who testified of your love before [the] church, whom well you will do having set forward worthily of God.
7 Porque ellos son partidos por amor de su nombre, no tomando nada de los Gentiles.
On behalf for of the name they went forth nothing accepting from the (Gentile [people]. *N+kO)
8 Nosotros, pues, debemos recibir a los que son tales, para que seamos coadjutores de la verdad.
We ourselves therefore ought (to receive *N+kO) such [men] so that fellow workers we may be in the truth.
9 Yo he escrito a la iglesia; mas Diótrefes, que ama tener el primado entre ellos, no nos recibe.
I have written (something *no) to the church; but the [one] loving to be first among them Diotrephes not welcomes us.
10 Por esta causa si yo viniere, haré a la memoria las obras que hace, como parla con palabras maliciosas contra nosotros; y ni aun contento con estas cosas, no solo no recibe a los hermanos, pero aun prohibe a los que los quieren recibir, y los echa de la iglesia.
Because of this, if I shall come, I will bring to remembrance of him the works which he is doing, with words evil prating against us; and not being satisfied with these, neither himself he receives the brothers, and those purposing he forbids and from the church he casts [them] out.
11 Amado, no imites lo que es malo, sino lo que es bueno. El que hace bien, es de Dios; mas el que hace mal, no ha visto a Dios.
Beloved, not do imitate what [is] evil but what [is] good. The [one] doing good of God is; the [one] (now *k) doing evil not has seen God.
12 Todos dan testimonio de Demetrio, y aun la misma verdad; y también nosotros damos testimonio, y vosotros sabéis que nuestro testimonio es verdadero.
To Demetrius witness has been given by all and by itself the truth; and we ourselves also bear witness, and (you know *N+kO) that the testimony of us true is.
13 Yo tenía muchas cosas que escribirte; empero no quiero escribirte con tinta y pluma.
Many things I had (to write *N+kO) (to you, *no) but not I desire with ink and pen to you (to write; *N+kO)
14 Porque espero de verte en breve, y hablaremos boca a boca. Paz a ti. Los amigos te saludan. Saluda tú a los amigos por nombre.
I hope however soon you to see and mouth to mouth we will speak. Peace to you. Greet you the friends. do greet the friends by name.
