2 Reyes 20
1 En aquellos días Ezequías cayó enfermo a la muerte; y vino a él Isaías profeta, hijo de Amós, y díjole: Jehová dice así: Dispón de tu casa, porque has de morir, y no vivirás.
In those days was Ezekias sick [even] to death. And the prophet Esaias the son of Amos came in to him, and said to him, Thus saith the Lord, Give charge to thy household; [for] thou shalt die, and not live.
2 El entonces volvió su rostro a la pared, y oró a Jehová, y dijo:
And Ezekias turned to the wall, and prayed to the Lord, saying,
3 Ruégote oh Jehová, ruégote que hayas memoria de que he andado delante de ti en verdad, y en corazón perfecto: y que he hecho las cosas que te agradan. Y lloró Ezequías con gran lloro.
Lord, remember, I pray thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thine eyes. And Ezekias wept with a great weeping.
4 Y antes que Isaías saliese hasta la mitad del patio, fue palabra de Jehová a Isaías, diciendo:
And Esaias was in the middle court, and the word of the Lord came to him, saying,
5 Vuelve, y di a Ezequías príncipe de mi pueblo: Así dice Jehová el Dios de David tu padre: Yo he oído tu oración, y he visto tus lágrimas: he aquí, yo te sano: al tercero día subirás a la casa de Jehová.
Turn back, and thou shalt say to Ezekias the ruler of my people, Thus saith the Lord God of thy father David, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up to the house of the Lord.
6 Y añadiré a tus días quince años, y te libraré a ti y a esta ciudad de mano del rey de Asiria; y ampararé esta ciudad por amor de mí, y por amor de David mi siervo.
And I will add to thy days fifteen years; and I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of the Assyrians, and I will defend this city for my own sake, and for my servant's David sake.
7 Y dijo Isaías: Tomád masa de higos. Y tomándola, pusiéronla sobre la llaga, y sanó.
And he said, Let them take a cake of figs, and lay it upon the ulcer, and he shall be well.
8 Y Ezequías dijo a Isaías: ¿Qué señal tendré, de que Jehová me sanará, y que al tercero día subiré a la casa de Jehová?
And Ezekias said to Esaias, What [is] the sign that the Lord will heal me, and I shall go up to the house of the Lord on the third day?
9 E Isaías respondió: Esta señal tendrás de Jehová, de que Jehová hará esto que ha dicho: ¿Pasará la sombra adelante diez grados, o volverá atrás diez grados?
And Esaias said, This [is] the sign from the Lord, that the Lord will perform the word which he has spoken, the shadow [of the dial] shall advance ten degrees: [or] if it should go back ten degrees [this would also be the sign].
10 Y Ezequías respondió: Fácil cosa es que la sombra decline diez grados: mas que la sombra vuelva atrás diez grados.
And Ezekias said, [It is] a light thing for the shadow to go down ten degrees: nay, but let the shadow return ten degrees backward on the dial.
11 Entonces el profeta Isaías clamó a Jehová; e hizo volver la sombra por los grados que había descendido en el reloj de Acaz diez grados atrás.
And Esaias the prophet cried to the Lord: and the shadow returned back ten degrees on the dial.
12 En aquel tiempo envió Berodac-baladán, hijo de Baladán, rey de Babilonia, cartas y presentes a Ezequías, porque había oído que Ezequías había caído enfermo.
At that time Marodach Baladan, son of Baladan king of Babylon, sent letters and a present to Ezekias, because he had heard that Ezekias was sick.
13 Y Ezequías los oyó, y mostróles toda la casa de las cosas preciosas, plata, oro y especiería, y preciosos ungüentos: y la casa de sus armas, y todo lo que había en sus tesoros: ninguna cosa quedó, que Ezequías no les mostrase, así en su casa como en todo su señorío.
And Ezekias rejoiced at them, and shewed all the house of his spices, the silver and the gold, the spices, and the fine oil, and the armory, and all that was found in his treasures: there was nothing which Ezekias did not shew them in his house, and in all his dominion.
14 Entonces el profeta Isaías vino al rey Ezequías, y díjole: ¿Qué dijeron aquellos varones, y de donde vinieron a ti? Y Ezequías le respondió: De lejas tierras han venido, de Babilonia.
And Esaias the prophet went in to king Ezekias, and said to him, What said these men? and whence came they to thee? And Ezekias said, they came to me from a distant land, [even] from Babylon.
15 Y él le volvió a decir: ¿Qué vieron en tu casa? Y Ezequías respondió: Vieron todo lo que había en mi casa; nada quedó en mis tesoros, que no les mostrase.
And he said, What saw they in thy house? And he said, They saw all things that [are] in my house: there was nothing in my house which I shewed not to them; yea, all that was in my treasures also.
16 Entonces Isaías dijo a Ezequías: Oye palabra de Jehová:
And Esaias said to Ezekias, Hear the word of the Lord:
17 He aquí, vienen días, en que todo lo que está en tu casa, y todo lo que tus padres han atesorado hasta hoy, será llevado a Babilonia, sin quedar nada, dijo Jehová.
Behold, the days come, that all things that are in thy house shall be taken, and all that thy fathers have treasured up until this day, to Babylon; and there shall not fail a word, which the Lord has spoken.
18 Y de tus hijos, que saldrán de ti, y habrás engendrado, tomarán, y serán eunucos en el palacio del rey de Babilonia.
And as for thy sons which shall come forth of thee, which thou shalt beget, [the enemy] shall take them, and they shall be eunuchs in the house of the king of Babylon.
19 Entonces Ezequías dijo a Isaías: La palabra de Jehová, que has hablado, es buena. Y dijo: ¿Mas no habrá paz y verdad en mis días?
And Ezekias said to Esaias, Good [is] the word of the Lord which he has spoken: [only] let there be peace in my days.
20 Lo demás de los hechos de Ezequías, y toda su valentía, y como hizo el estanque, y el conduto, y metió las aguas en la ciudad, ¿no está escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Judá?
And the rest of the acts of Ezekias, and all his might, and all that he made, the fountain and the aqueduct, and [how] he brought water into the city, [are] not these things written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Juda?
21 Y durmió Ezequías con sus padres, y reinó en su lugar Manasés su hijo.
And Ezekias slept with his fathers: and Manasses his son reigned in his stead.
