2 Crónicas 32

1 Después de estas cosas, y de esta fidelidad, vino Sennaquerib rey de los Asirios, y entró en Judá, y asentó campo contra las ciudades fuertes, y determinó de entrarlas.

After the matters and the faithfulness these he came Sennacherib [the] king of Assyria and he came in Judah and he encamped on the cities fortified and he said to break into them to himself.

2 Viendo pues Ezequías la venida de Sennaquerib, y que tenía el rostro puesto para hacer la guerra a Jerusalem,

And he saw Hezekiah that he had come Sennacherib and face his [was] for war on Jerusalem.

3 Tuvo su consejo con sus príncipes, y con sus valerosos, que tapasen las fuentes de las aguas, que estaban fuera de la ciudad: y ellos le ayudaron.

And he took counsel with officials his and mighty [men] his to stop up [the] waters of the springs which [were] from [the] outside of the city and they helped him.

4 Y juntóse mucho pueblo, y taparon todas las fuentes: y también el arroyo que va por medio de la tierra, diciendo: ¿Por qué han de hallar los reyes de Asiria muchas aguas cuando vinieren?

And they assembled people numerous and they stopped up all the springs and the wadi which flowed in [the] middle of the land saying why? will they come [the] kings of Assyria and they will find waters many.

5 Confortóse pues Ezequías, y edificó todos los muros caídos, e hizo alzar las torres, y otro muro por de fuera: y fortificó a Mello en la ciudad de David, e hizo muchas espadas y paveses.

And he strengthened himself and he rebuilt all the city wall which was broken down and he put up on the towers and to the outside the city wall another and he strengthened the Millo [the] city of David and he made weapon[s] to abundance and shields.

6 Y puso capitanes de guerra sobre el pueblo, e hízolos congregar a sí en la plaza de la puerta de la ciudad, y hablóles al corazón de ellos, diciendo:

And he appointed commanders of wars over the people and he assembled them to himself to [the] open place of [the] gate of the city and he spoke to heart their saying.

7 Esforzáos y confortáos; no temáis, ni hayáis miedo del rey de Asiria, ni de toda su multitud que con él viene: porque más son con nosotros que con él.

Be strong and be courageous may not you be afraid and may not you be dismayed because of [the] king of Assyria and from before all the multitude which [is] with him for [is] with us [one] great more than with him.

8 Con él es el brazo de carne, mas con nosotros Jehová nuestro Dios para ayudarnos, y pelear nuestras peleas. Entonces el pueblo reposó sobre las palabras de Ezequías rey de Judá.

[is] with Him an arm of flesh and [is] with us Yahweh God our to help us and to fight battles our and they supported themselves the people on [the] words of Hezekiah [the] king of Judah.

9 Después de esto envió Sennaquerib rey de los Asirios sus siervos a Jerusalem, estando él sobre Laquis, y con él toda su potencia, a Ezequías rey de Judá, y a todo Judá, que estaba en Jerusalem, diciendo:

After this he sent Sennacherib [the] king of Assyria servants his Jerusalem towards and he [was] at Lachish and all imperial might his [was] with him to Hezekiah [the] king of Judah and to all Judah which [was] in Jerusalem saying.

10 Sennaquerib rey de los Asirios ha dicho así: ¿En qué confiáis vosotros para estar cercados en Jerusalem?

Thus he says Sennacherib [the] king of Assyria on what? [are] you relying and remaining in siege in Jerusalem.

11 ¿No os engaña Ezequías para entregaros a muerte, a hambre, y a sed, diciendo: Jehová nuestro Dios nos librará de la mano del rey de Asiria?

¿ Not [is] Hezekiah misleading you to give you to die by hunger and by thirst saying Yahweh God our he will deliver us from [the] hand of [the] king of Assyria.

12 ¿No es Ezequías el que ha quitado sus altos y sus altares, y dijo a Judá, y a Jerusalem: Delante de este solo altar adoraréis, y sobre él quemaréis perfume?

¿ Not that Hezekiah did he remove high places his and altars his and did he say? to Judah and to Jerusalem saying before an altar one you will bow down and on it you will make smoke.

13 ¿No habéis sabido lo que yo y mis padres habemos hecho a todos los pueblos de las tierras? ¿Pudieron los dioses de las gentes de las tierras librar su tierra de mi mano?

¿ Not do you know what? have I done I and fathers my to all [the] peoples of the lands ¿ really were they able [the] gods of [the] nations of the lands to deliver land their from hand my.

14 ¿Qué dios hubo de todos los dioses de aquellas gentes que destruyeron mis padres, que puediese librar su pueblo de mis manos? ¿Por qué podrá vuestro Dios escaparos de mi mano?

Who? among all [the] gods of the nations these which they totally destroyed fathers my [is one] which it was able to deliver people its from hand my that he will be able God your to deliver you from hand my.

15 Ahora pues no os engañe Ezequías, ni os persuada tal cosa, ni le creáis; que si ningún dios de todas aquellas naciones y reinos pudo librar su pueblo de mis manos, y de las manos de mis padres, ¿cuánto menos vuestros dioses os podrán librar de mi mano?

And therefore may not he deceive you Hezekiah and may not he mislead you like this and may not you believe him for not it has been able any god of any nation and kingdom to deliver people its from hand my and from [the] hand of fathers my indeed? for gods your not they will deliver you from hand my.

16 Y otras cosas hablaron sus siervos contra el Dios Jehová, y contra Ezequías su siervo.

And again they spoke servants his on Yahweh God and on Hezekiah servant his.

17 Y además de esto escribió cartas en las cuales blasfemaba a Jehová el Dios de Israel, y hablaba contra él, diciendo: Como los dioses de las gentes de las provincias no pudieron librar su pueblo de mis manos, tampoco el Dios de Ezequías librará al suyo de mis manos.

And letters he wrote to taunt Yahweh [the] God of Israel and to say on him saying like [the] gods of [the] nations of the lands which not they delivered people their from hand my so not he will deliver [the] God of Hezekiah people his from hand my.

18 Y clamaron a gran voz en Judaico contra el pueblo de Jerusalem que estaba en los muros, para espantarlos y ponerles temor, para tomar la ciudad.

And they called out with a voice great [in] Judean to [the] people of Jerusalem which [was] on the wall to make afraid them and to terrify them so that they may capture the city.

19 Y hablaron contra el Dios de Jerusalem, como contra los dioses de los pueblos de la tierra, obra de manos de hombres.

And they spoke concerning [the] God of Jerusalem as on [the] gods of [the] peoples of the land [the] work of [the] hands of humankind.

20 Mas el rey Ezequías, y el profeta Isaías, hijo de Amós, oraron por esto, y clamaron al cielo:

And he prayed Hezekiah the king and Isaiah [the] son of Amoz the prophet on this and they cried out the heavens.

21 Y Jehová envió un ángel, el cual hirió todo valiente en fuerzas, y los capitanes, y los príncipes, en el campo del rey de Asiria: y volvióse con vergüenza de rostro a su tierra: y entrando en el templo de su dios, allí le pasaron a cuchillo los que habían salido de sus entrañas.

And he sent Yahweh an angel and he annihilated every mighty [man] of strength and officer and commander in [the] camp of [the] king of Assyria and he returned with shame of face to own land his and he came [the] house of god his (and some of [the] offspring of *QK) lower parts his there they made fall him by the sword.

22 Así salvó Jehová a Ezequías y a los moradores de Jerusalem de las manos de Sennaquerib rey de Asiria, y de las manos de todos: y les dio reposo de todas partes.

And he saved Yahweh Hezekiah and - [the] inhabitants of Jerusalem from [the] hand of Sennacherib [the] king of Assyria and from [the] hand of everyone and he led them from round about.

23 Y muchos trajeron presente a Jehová a Jerusalem, y a Ezequías rey de Judá ricos dones: y fue muy grande delante de todas las gentes después de esto.

And many [people] [were] bringing an offering to Yahweh to Jerusalem and excellent things to Hezekiah [the] king of Judah and he was lifted up to [the] eyes of all the nations from after thus.

24 En aquel tiempo Ezequías enfermó de muerte: y oró a Jehová: el cual le respondió, y le dio señal.

In the days those he was sick Hezekiah until die and he prayed to Yahweh and he spoke to him and a sign he gave to him.

25 Mas Ezequías no pagó conforme al bien, que le había sido hecho: antes su corazón se enalteció, y fue la ira contra él, y contra Judá, y Jerusalem.

And not according to [the] benefit on him he repaid Hezekiah for it was haughty heart his and it was towards him wrath and towards Judah and Jerusalem.

26 Empero Ezequías, después de haberse enaltecido su corazón, se humilló, él y los moradores de Jerusalem: y no vino sobre ellos la ira de Jehová en los días de Ezequías.

And he humbled himself Hezekiah in [the] haughtiness of heart his he and [the] inhabitants of Jerusalem and not it came towards them [the] wrath of Yahweh in [the] days of Hezekiah.

27 Y tuvo Ezequías riquezas y gloria mucha en gran manera: e hízose tesoros de plata y oro, de piedras preciosas, de especierías, de escudos, y de todos vasos de desear;

And it belonged to Hezekiah wealth and honor great exceedingly and treasuries he made for himself for silver and for gold and for stone[s] precious and for spices and for shields and for all articles of preciousness.

28 Asimismo depósitos para las rentas del grano, del vino, y aceite: establos para toda suerte de bestias, y majadas para los ganados.

And storehouses for [the] yield of grain and new wine and fresh oil and stalls for all livestock and livestock and flocks for the stalls.

29 Hízose también ciudades, y hatos de ovejas y de vacas en gran copia: porque Dios le había dado muy mucha hacienda.

And cities he made for himself and livestock of flock and herd to abundance for he had given to him God property much very.

30 Este Ezequías cerró los manaderos de las aguas de Gijón, la de arriba, y encaminólas abajo al occidente de la ciudad de David: y fue prosperado Ezequías en todo lo que hizo.

And he Hezekiah he stopped up [the] outlet of [the] waters of Gihon upper and he directed them downwards west-ward of [the] city of David and he prospered Hezekiah in every deed his.

31 Empero a causa de los embajadores de los príncipes de Babilonia, que enviaron a él para saber del prodigio que había sido en aquella tierra, Dios le dejó, para tentarle, para saber todo lo que estaba en su corazón.

And thus in [the] envoys of - [the] officials of Babylon who sent to him to enquire the sign which it had happened in the land he left him God to put to [the] test him to know everything in heart his.

32 Lo demás de los hechos de Ezequías, y de sus misericordias, he aquí, todo está escrito en la profecía de Isaías, hijo de Amós profeta, y en el libro de los reyes de Judá y de Israel.

And [the] rest of [the] matters of Hezekiah and covenant loyalti his there they [are] written in [the] vision of Isaiah [the] son of Amoz the prophet on [the] scroll of [the] kings of Judah and Israel.

33 Y durmió Ezequías con sus padres, y sepultáronle en los más insignes sepulcros de los hijos de David, honrándole en su muerte todo Judá y los de Jerusalem: y reinó en su lugar Manasés su hijo.

And he lay down Hezekiah with ancestors his and people buried him at [the] ascent of [the] graves of [the] descendants of David and honor they did to him at death his all Judah and [the] inhabitants of Jerusalem and he became king Manasseh son his in place of him.
