1 Samuel 10

1 Y tomando Samuel una ampolla de aceite, derramóla sobre su cabeza, y besóle, y díjole: ¿No te ha ungido Jehová por capitán sobre su heredad?

Forsothe Samuel took `a vessel of oyle, and schedde out on the heed of Saul, and kisside hym, and seide, Lo! the Lord hath anoyntid thee in to prince on hys eritage; and thou schalt delyuere his puple fro the hond of his enemyes, that ben `in his cumpas. And this a tokene to thee, that the Lord hath anoyntid thee in to prince;

2 Hoy luego que te hayas apartado de mí, hallarás dos varones junto al sepulcro de Raquel, en el término de Ben-jamín en Salesa, los cuales te dirán: Las asnas, que habías ido a buscar, son halladas: y tu padre, había ya dejado el negocio de las asnas, y congojábase por vosotros, diciendo: ¿Qué haré de mi hijo?

whanne thou schalt go fro me to day, thou schalt fynde twei men bisidis `the sepulcre of Rachel, in `the endis of Beniamyn, in myddai, clensynge grete dichis; and thei schulen seie to thee, The femel assis ben foundun, whiche thou yedist to seke; and while the assis ben lefte, thi fadir is bisy for you, and seith, What schal Y do of my sone?

3 Y como de allí te fueres más adelante, y llegares a la campaña de Tabor, salirte han al encuentro tres varones, que suben a Dios en Bet-el: llevando el uno tres cabritos, y el otro tres tortas de pan, y el tercero, un cuero de vino.

And whanne thou hast go fro thennus, and hast passid ferthere, and hast come to the ook of Tabor, thre men, stiynge to God in to Bethel, schulen fynde thee there, o man berynge thre kydis, and another man berynge thre kakis of breed, and an other man berynge a galoun of wyn.

4 Los cuales, luego que te hayan saludado, te darán dos panes, y tú los tomarás de mano de ellos.

And whanne thei han gret thee, thei schulen yyue to thee twei loues, and thou schalt take of `the hond of hem.

5 De allí vendrás al collado de Dios, donde está la guarnición de los Filisteos, y como entrares allá en la ciudad, encontrarás una compañía de profetas, que descienden del alto, y delante de ellos salterio, y adufe, y flauta, y arpa, y ellos profetizando.

After these thingis thou schalt come in to the `hil of the Lord, where is the stondyng, that is, forselet, of Filisteis; and whanne thou schalt entre in to the citee, there thou schalt haue metynge thee the flok of prophetis comynge doun fro the hiy place, and a sautree, and tympane, and pipe, and harpe bifor hem, and hem prophesiynge.

6 Y el Espíritu de Jehová te arrebatará, y profetizarás con ellos; y serás mudado en otro varón.

And the Spirit of the Lord schal skippe in to thee, and thou schalt prophecie with hem, and thou schalt be chaungid in to another man.

7 Y cuando te hubieren venido estas señales hazte lo que te viniere a la mano: porque Dios es contigo.

Therfor whanne alle thesse signes bifallen to thee, do thou, what euer thingis thin hond fyndith, `that is, dispose thee to regne comelili and myytily, for the Lord is with thee.

8 Y descenderás delante de mí en Galgal; y luego yo descenderé a ti a sacrificar holocaustos, y a matar víctimas pacíficas. Tú me esperarás siete días hasta que yo venga a ti, y te enseñe lo que has de hacer.

And thou schalt go doun bifor me in to Galgala; for Y schal come doun to thee, that thou offre an offryng, and offre pesible sacrifices; bi seuene daies thou schalt abide, til I come to thee, and shewe to thee what thou schal do.

9 Y aconteció que como él tornó su hombro para partirse de Samuel, Dios le trocó su corazón: y todas estas señales vinieron en aquel día.

Therfor whanne Saul hadde turnede awei his schuldre to go fro Samuel, God chaungide another herte to Saul, and alle these signes camen in that dai.

10 Y como llegaron allá al collado, he aquí la compañía de los profetas que venía a encontrarse con él, y él Espíritu de Dios le arrebató, y profetizó entre ellos.

And thei camen to the forseid hil, and lo! a cumpeny of prophetis metynge hym; and the Spirit of the Lord `scippide on hym, and he propheciede in the myddis of hem.

11 Y aconteció que todos los que le conocían de ayer y de anteayer, miraban como profetizaba con los profetas. Y el pueblo decía el uno al otro. ¿Qué ha acontecido al hijo de Cis? ¿Saul también entre los profetas?

Sotheli alle men, that knewen hym yisterdai and the thrid dai ago, sien that he was with the prophetis, and that he prophesiede, and thei seiden togidere, What thing bifelde to the sone of Cys? Whether also Saul is among prophetis?

12 Y alguno de allí respondió, y dijo: ¿Y quién es el padre de ellos? Por esta causa se tornó en proverbio, ¿También Saul entre los profetas?

And o man answeride to another man, and seide, And who is `his fadir? Therfor it was turned in to a prouerbe, Whether also Saul is among prophetis?

13 Y cesó de profetizar, y llegó al alto.

Forsothe Saul ceside to prophesie, and he cam to an hiy place.

14 Y un tio de Saul dijo a él y a su criado: ¿Dónde fuisteis? Y él respondió: A buscar las asnas. Y como vimos que no parecían, fuimos a Samuel.

And the brothir of `the fadir of Saul seide to hym, and to his child, Whidur yeden ye? And thei answeriden, To seke the femal assis; and whanne we founden `not thoo, we camen to Samuel.

15 Y dijo el tio de Saul: Yo te ruego que me declares, ¿qué os dijo Samuel?

And the brother of his fadir seide to hym, Schewe thou to me what Samuel seide to thee.

16 Y Saul respondió a su tio, declarando nos declaró que las asnas habían parecido. Mas del negocio del reino, de que Samuel le habló, no le descubrió nada.

And Saul seide to `the brother of hys fadir, He schewide to vs, that the femal assis weren foundun. Sotheli Saul schewide not to hym of the word of rewme, `which word Samuel spak to hym.

17 Y Samuel convocó el pueblo a Jehová en Maspa.

And Samuel clepide togidere the puple to the Lord in Masphat;

18 Y dijo a los hijos de Israel: Así dijo Jehová el Dios de Israel: Yo saqué a Israel de Egipto, y os libré de mano de los Egipcios, y de mano de todos los reinos que os afligieron;

and he seide to the sones of Israel, The Lord God of Israel seith these thingis, Y ledde Israel out of the lond of Egipt, and Y delyuerede you fro the hond of Egipcians, and fro the hond of alle kyngis that turmentiden you.

19 Mas vosotros habéis desechado hoy a vuestro Dios, que os guarda de todas vuestras aflicciones y angustias, diciendo: No, sino pon rey sobre nosotros. Ahora pues ponéos delante de Jehová por vuestras tribus, y por vuestros millares.

Forsothe to day ye han caste awei youre Lord God, which aloone sauyde you fro alle youre yuelis and tribulaciouns; and ye seiden, Nay, but ordeyne thou a kyng on vs. Now therfor stonde ye bifor the Lord bi youre lynagis, and bi meynees.

20 Y haciendo allegar Samuel todas las tribus de Israel, fue tomada la tribu de Ben-jamín.

And Samuel settide to gidere alle the lynages of Israel, and lot felde on the lynage of Beniamyn.

21 E hizo llegar la tribu de Ben-jamín por sus linajes, y fue tomada la familia de Metri, y de ella fue tomado Saul hijo de Cis: y como le buscaron, no fue hallado.

And he settide togidere the lynage of Beniamyn, and the meynees therof; and lot felde on the meynees of Mathri, and it cam `til to Saul, the son of Cys. Therfor thei souyten hym, and he was not foundun there.

22 Y preguntaron otra vez a Jehová, si había aun de venir allí aquel varón: y Jehová respondió: He aquí que él está escondido entre el bagaje.

And aftir these thingis thei counseliden the Lord, whether Saul schulde come thidur. And the Lord answeride, Lo! he is hid at hoom.

23 Entonces corrieron allá, y tomáronle de allí; y puesto en medio del pueblo, desde el hombro arriba era más alto que todo el pueblo.

Therfor thei runnen, and token hym fro thennus; and he stood in the myddil of the puple, and was hiyere than al the puple fro the schulder and `aboue.

24 Y Samuel dijo a todo el pueblo: ¿Habéis visto al que ha elegido Jehová, que no hay semejante a él en todo el pueblo? Entonces el pueblo clamó con alegría, diciendo: Viva el rey.

And Samuel seide to al the puple, Certis ye seen whom the Lord hath chose; for noon in al the puple is lijk hym. And al the puple cryede, and seide, Lyue the kyng!

25 Entonces Samuel recitó al pueblo el derecho del reino, y escribiólo en un libro, el cual guardó delante de Jehová.

Forsothe Samuel spak to the puple the lawe of rewme, and wroot in a book, and puttide vp bifor the Lord. And Samuel dilyuerede al the puple, ech man in to his hows;

26 Y envió Samuel a todo el pueblo cada uno a su casa: y Saul también se fue a su casa en Gabaa, y fueron con él algunos del ejército, el corazón de los cuales Dios había tocado.

but also Saul yede in to his hous in to Gabaath; and the part of the oost yede with hym, whose hertis God hadde touchid.

27 Mas los impíos dijeron: ¿Cómo nos ha este de salvar? Y tuviéronle en poco, y no le trajeron presente: mas él disimuló.

Forsothe the sones of Belyal seiden, Whether this man may saue vs? And thei dispisiden hym, and brouyten not yiftis, `that is, preisyngis, to him; forsothe he `dissymelide hym to here.
