1 Reyes 22
1 Reposaron tres años sin guerra entre los Siros e Israel.
And they sit still three years, there is no war between Aram and Israel,
2 Al tercero año aconteció, que Josafat rey de Judá descendió al rey de Israel.
and it cometh to pass in the third year, that Jehoshaphat king of Judah cometh down unto the king of Israel,
3 Y el rey de Israel dijo a sus siervos: ¿No sabéis que es nuestra Ramot de Galaad? Y nosotros cesamos de tomarla de mano del rey de Siria.
and the king of Israel saith unto his servants, 'Have ye not known that ours [is] Ramoth-Gilead? and we are keeping silent from taking it out of the hand of the king of Aram!'
4 Y dijo a Josafat: ¿Quieres venir conmigo a pelear contra Ramot de Galaad? Y Josafat respondió al rey de Israel: Como yo, así tú: y como mi pueblo, así tu pueblo: y como mis caballos, tus caballos.
And he saith unto Jehoshaphat, 'Dost thou go with me to battle [to] Ramoth-Gilead?' and Jehoshaphat saith unto the king of Israel, 'As I am, so thou; as my people, so thy people; as my horses, so thy horses.'
5 Y dijo Josafat al rey de Israel: Yo te ruego que consultes hoy la palabra de Jehová.
And Jehoshaphat saith unto the king of Israel, 'Seek, I pray thee, to-day, the word of Jehovah;'
6 Entonces el rey de Israel juntó como cuatrocientos varones profetas, a los cuales dijo: ¿Iré a la guerra contra Ramot de Galaad, o dejarla he? Y ellos dijeron: Sube, porque el Señor la entregará en manos del rey.
and the king of Israel gathereth the prophets, about four hundred men, and saith unto them, 'Do I go against Ramoth-Gilead to battle, or do I forbear?' and they say, 'Go up, and the Lord doth give [it] into the hand of the king.'
7 Y dijo Josafat: ¿Hay aun aquí algún profeta de Jehová por el cual consultemos?
And Jehoshaphat saith, 'Is there not here a prophet of Jehovah besides, and we seek by him?'
8 Y el rey de Israel respondió a Josafat: Aun hay un varón, por el cual podríamos consultar a Jehová, Miqueas, hijo de Jemla; mas yo le aborrezco, porque nunca me profetiza bien, sino solamente mal. Y Josafat dijo: No hable el rey así.
And the king of Israel saith unto Jehoshaphat, 'Yet — one man to seek Jehovah by him, and I have hated him, for he doth not prophesy concerning me good, but evil — Micaiah son of Imlah;' and Jehoshaphat saith, 'Let not the king say so.'
9 Entonces el rey de Israel llamó a un eunuco, y díjole: Trae presto a Miqueas, hijo de Jemla.
And the king of Israel calleth unto a certain eunuch, and saith, 'Hasten Micaiah son of Imlah.'
10 Y el rey de Israel, y Josafat rey de Judá, estaban sentados cada uno en su trono real, vestidos de sus ropas reales, en la plaza junto a la entrada de la puerta de Samaria, y todos los profetas profetizaban delante de ellos.
And the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat king of Judah are sitting, each on his throne, clothed with garments, in a threshing-floor, at the opening of the gate of Samaria, and all the prophets are prophesying before them.
11 Y Sedequias, hijo de Canaana, se había hecho unos cuernos de hierro, y dijo: Así dijo Jehová: Con estos acornearás a los Siros hasta acabarlos.
And Zedekiah son of Chenaanah maketh for himself horns of iron, and saith, 'Thus said Jehovah, By these thou dost push the Aramaeans till they are consumed;'
12 Y todos los profetas profetizaban de la misma manera, diciendo: Sube a Ramot de Galaad, y serás prosperado, que Jehová la dará en mano del rey.
and all the prophets are prophesying so, saying, 'Go up to Ramoth-Gilead, and prosper, and Jehovah hath given [it] into the hand of the king.'
13 Y el mensajero que había ido a llamar a Miqueas, le habló, diciendo: He aquí, las palabras de los profetas a una boca anuncian al rey bien: sea ahora tu palabra conforme a la palabra de alguno de ellos, y habla bien.
And the messenger who hath gone to call Micaiah hath spoken unto him, saying, 'Lo, I pray thee, the words of the prophets, with one mouth, [are] good towards the king; let it be, I pray thee, thy word as the word of one of them — and thou hast spoken good.'
14 Y Miqueas respondió: Vive Jehová, que lo que Jehová me hablare, eso diré.
And Micaiah saith, 'Jehovah liveth; surely that which Jehovah saith unto me — it I speak.'
15 Y vino al rey, y el rey le dijo: Miqueas, ¿iremos a pelear contra Ramot de Galaad, o dejarla hemos? Y él le respondió: Sube, que serás prosperado, y Jehová la entregará en mano del rey.
And he cometh in unto the king, and the king saith unto him, 'Micaiah, do we go unto Ramoth-Gilead, to battle, or do we forbear?' and he saith unto him, 'Go up, and prosper, and Jehovah hath given [it] into the hand of the king.'
16 Y el rey le dijo: ¿Hasta cuántas veces te conjurare, que no me digas sino la verdad, en el nombre de Jehová?
And the king saith unto him, 'How many times am I adjuring thee that thou speak nothing unto me but truth in the name of Jehovah?'
17 Entonces él dijo: Yo ví a todo Israel esparcido por los montes como ovejas que no tienen pastor: y Jehová dijo: Estos no tienen señor, vuélvase cada uno a su casa en paz.
And he saith, 'I have seen all Israel scattered on the hills as sheep that have no shepherd, and Jehovah saith, These have no master; they turn back each to his house in peace.'
18 Y el rey de Israel dijo a Josafat: ¿No te lo había yo dicho? Este ninguna cosa buena profetizará sobre mí, sino solamente mal.
And the king of Israel saith unto Jehoshaphat, 'Have I not said unto thee, He doth not prophesy of me good, but evil?'
19 Entonces él dijo: Oye pues palabra de Jehová: Yo ví a Jehová sentado en su trono, y todo el ejército de los cielos estaba junto a él, a su diestra y a su siniestra.
And he saith, 'Therefore, hear a word of Jehovah; I have seen Jehovah sitting on His throne, and all the host of the heavens standing by Him, on His right and on His left;
20 Y Jehová dijo: ¿Quién inducirá a Acab, para que suba, y caiga en Ramot de Galaad? Y uno decía de una manera, y otro decía de otra.
and Jehovah saith, Who doth entice Ahab, and he doth go up and fall in Ramoth-Gilead? and this one saith thus, and that one is saying thus.
21 Y salió un espíritu, y púsose delante de Jehová, y dijo: Yo le induciré. Y Jehová le dijo: ¿De qué manera?
'And the spirit goeth out, and standeth before Jehovah, and saith, I — I do entice him; and Jehovah saith unto him, By what?
22 Y él dijo: Yo saldré, y seré espíritu de mentira en boca de todos sus profetas. Y él dijo: Inducirle has, y aun saldrás con ello: sal pues, y házlo así.
and he saith, I go out, and have been a spirit of falsehood in the mouth of all his prophets; and He saith, Thou dost entice, and also thou art able; go out and do so.
23 Y ahora, he aquí, Jehová ha puesto espíritu de mentira en la boca de todos estos tus profetas, y Jehová ha decretado mal sobre ti.
And now, lo, Jehovah hath put a spirit of falsehood in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and Jehovah hath spoken concerning thee — evil.'
24 Y llegándose Sedequias, hijo de Canaana, hirió a Miqueas en la mejilla, diciendo: ¿Por dónde se fue de mí el Espíritu de Jehová para hablarte a ti?
And Zedekiah son of Chenaanah draweth nigh, and smiteth Micaiah on the cheek, and saith, 'Where [is] this — he hath passed over — the Spirit of Jehovah — from me to speak with thee?'
25 Y Miqueas respondió: He aquí, tú lo verás en el mismo día, cuando te irás metiendo de cámara en cámara por esconderte.
And Micaiah saith, 'Lo, thou art seeing on that day, when thou goest in to the innermost chamber to be hidden.'
26 Entonces el rey de Israel dijo: Toma a Miqueas y vuélvele a Amón gobernador de la ciudad, y a Joas hijo del rey.
And the king of Israel saith, 'Take Micaiah, and turn him back unto Amon head of the city, and unto Joash son of the king,
27 Y dirás: Así dijo el rey: Echád a este en la cárcel, y mantenédle con pan de angustia, y con agua de angustia, hasta que yo vuelva en paz.
and thou hast said, Thus said the king, Place ye this one in the house of restraint, and cause him to eat bread of oppression, and water of oppression, till my coming in peace.'
28 Y dijo Miqueas: Si volviendo volvieres en paz, Jehová no ha hablado por mí. Y tornó a decir: Oíd todos los pueblos.
And Micaiah saith, 'If thou at all return in peace — Jehovah hath not spoken by me;' and he saith, 'Hear, O peoples, all of them.'
29 Así subió el rey de Israel, y Josafat rey de Judá a Ramot de Galaad.
And the king of Israel goeth up, and Jehoshaphat king of Judah, to Ramoth-Gilead.
30 Y el rey de Israel dijo a Josafat: Yo me disfrazaré, y así entraré en la batalla: y tú vístete tus vestidos. Y el rey de Israel se disfrazó, y entró en la batalla.
And the king of Israel saith unto Jehoshaphat to disguise himself, and to go into battle, 'And thou, put on thy garments.' And the king of Israel disguiseth himself, and goeth into battle.
31 Y el rey de Siria había mandado a sus treinta y dos capitanes de los carros, diciendo: No peleéis vosotros con grande ni con chico, sino contra solo el rey de Israel.
And the king of Aram commanded the heads of the charioteers whom he hath — thirty and two — saying, 'Ye do not fight with small or with great, but with the king of Israel by himself.'
32 Y como los capitanes de los carros vieron a Josafat, dijeron: Ciertamente este es el rey de Israel, y viniéronse a él para pelear con él: mas el rey Josafat dio voces.
And it cometh to pass, at the heads of the charioteers seeing Jehoshaphat, that they said, 'He [is] only the king of Israel;' and they turn aside to him to fight, and Jehoshaphat crieth out,
33 Y viendo los capitanes de los carros que no era el rey de Israel, apartáronse de él.
and it cometh to pass, at the heads of the charioteers seeing that he [is] not the king of Israel, that they turn back from after him.
34 Mas un varón flechando su arco cuanto pudo, hirió al rey de Israel por entre las junturas y las corazas. Y él dijo a su carretero, vuelve las riendas, y sácame del campo, que estoy herido.
And a man hath drawn with a bow, in his simplicity, and smiteth the king of Israel between the joinings and the coat of mail, and he saith to his charioteer, 'Turn thy hand, and take me out from the camp, for I have become sick.'
35 La batalla se había encendido aquel día, y el rey estaba en su carro delante de los Siros: y a la tarde murió: y la sangre de la herida corría por el seno del carro.
And the battle increaseth on that day, and the king hath been caused to stand in the chariot, over-against Aram, and he dieth in the evening, and the blood of the wound runneth out unto the midst of the chariot,
36 Y a puesta del sol pasó un pregón por el campo, diciendo: Cada uno se vaya a su ciudad: y cada uno a su tierra.
and he causeth the cry to pass over through the camp, at the going in of the sun, saying, 'Each unto his city, and each unto his land.'
37 Y el rey murió, y fue traído a Samaria; y sepultaron al rey en Samaria.
And the king dieth, and cometh into Samaria, and they bury the king in Samaria;
38 Y lavaron el carro en el estanque de Samaria, y los perros lamieron su sangre: y lavaron sus armas, conforme a la palabra de Jehová, que había hablado.
and [one] rinseth the chariot by the pool of Samaria, and the dogs lick his blood — when the armour they had washed — according to the word of Jehovah that He spake.
39 Lo demás de los hechos de Acab, y todas las cosas que hizo, y la casa de marfil que edificó, y todas las ciudades, que edificó, ¿no está escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Israel?
And the rest of the matters of Ahab, and all that he did, and the house of ivory that he built, and all the cities that he built, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel?
40 Y durmió Acab con sus padres, y reinó en su lugar Ocozías su hijo.
And Ahab lieth with his fathers, and Ahaziah his son reigneth in his stead.
41 Y Josafat, hijo de Asa, comenzó a reinar sobre Judá en el cuarto año de Acab rey de Israel.
And Jehoshaphat son of Asa hath reigned over Judah in the fourth year of Ahab king of Israel,
42 Y era Josafat de treinta y cinco años, cuando comenzó a reinar, y reinó veinte y cinco años en Jerusalem. El nombre de su madre fue Azuba, hija de Salai.
Jehoshaphat [is] a son of thirty and five years in his reigning, and twenty and five years he hath reigned in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother [is] Azubah daughter of Shilhi.
43 Y anduvo en todo el camino de Asa su padre, sin declinar de él, haciendo lo que era recto en los ojos de Jehová. Con todo eso los altos no fueron quitados; que aun el pueblo sacrificaba, y quemaba olores en los altos.
And he walketh in all the way of Asa his father, he hath not turned aside from it, to do that which [is] right in the eyes of Jehovah; only the high places have not turned aside, yet are the people sacrificing and making perfume in high places.
44 Y Josafat hizo paz con el rey de Israel.
And Jehoshaphat maketh peace with the king of Israel;
45 Lo demás de los hechos de Josafat, y sus valentías, que hizo, y las guerras que hizo, ¿no está escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Judá?
and the rest of the matters of Jehoshaphat, and his might that he got, and with which he fought, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Judah?
46 Y el resto de los sodomíticos que habían quedado en el tiempo de su padre Asa, él los barrió de la tierra.
And the remnant of the whoremongers who were left in the days of Asa his father he took away out of the land;
47 Entonces no había rey en Edom, presidente había en lugar de rey.
and there is no king in Edom; he set up a king.
48 Josafat había hecho navíos en Társis, los cuales habían de ir a Ofir por oro: mas no fueron, porque se rompieron en Asión-gaber.
Jehoshaphat made ships at Tarshish to go to Ophir for gold, and they went not, for the ships were broken in Ezion-Geber.
49 Entonces Ocozías, hijo de Acab, dijo a Josafat: Vayan mis siervos con los tuyos en los navíos: mas Josafat no quiso.
Then said Ahaziah son of Ahab unto Jehoshaphat, 'Let my servants go with thy servants in the ships;' and Jehoshaphat was not willing.
50 Y durmió Josafat con sus padres, y fue sepultado con sus padres en la ciudad de David su padre: y en su lugar reinó Joram su hijo.
And Jehoshaphat lieth with his fathers, and is buried with his fathers in the city of David his father, and Jehoram his son reigneth in his stead.
51 Y Ocozías, hijo de Acab, comenzó a reinar sobre Israel, en Samaria, el año diez y siete de Josafat rey de Judá, y reinó dos años sobre Israel.
Ahaziah son of Ahab hath reigned over Israel in Samaria in the seventeenth year of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, and reigneth over Israel two years,
52 E hizo lo malo en los ojos de Jehová, y anduvo en el camino de su padre, y en el camino de su madre, y en el camino de Jeroboam, hijo de Nabat, que hizo pecar a Israel.
and doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, and walketh in the way of his father, and in the way of his mother, and in the way of Jeroboam son of Nebat who caused Israel to sin,
53 Porque sirvió a Baal, y le adoró: y provocó a ira a Jehová Dios de Israel, conforme a todas las cosas que su padre había hecho.
and serveth the Baal, and boweth himself to it, and provoketh Jehovah, God of Israel, according to all that his father had done.
