San Lucas 21
1 Él observó a los ricos que echaban sus ofrendas en el receptáculo para contribuciones.
He looked up, and saw the rich people who were putting their gifts into the treasury.
2 Vio también a una viuda pobre que echaba allí dos pequeñas monedas de cobre
He saw a certain poor widow casting in two small bronze coins.
3 y dijo: En verdad les digo que esta viuda pobre echó más que todos,
He said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow put in more than all of them,
4 porque todos éstos ofrendaron de lo que les sobra, pero ésta de su pobreza ofrendó todo el sustento que tenía.
for all these put in gifts for God from their abundance, but she, out of her poverty, put in all that she had to live on.”
5 A unos que comentaban sobre las piedras preciosas y las ofrendas votivas que adornaban el Templo, les dijo:
As some were talking about the temple and how it was decorated with beautiful stones and gifts, he said,
6 En cuanto a estas cosas que miran, vendrán días cuando no quedará piedra sobre piedra que no sea derribada.
“As for these things which you see, the days will come, in which there will not be left here one stone on another that will not be thrown down.”
7 Le preguntaron: Maestro, ¿cuándo sucederá esto? ¿Y cuál es la señal para saber cuando van a suceder?
They asked him, “Teacher, so when will these things be? What is the sign that these things are about to happen?”
8 Él respondió: Cuidado, no se engañen. Porque vendrán muchos en mi Nombre y dirán: ¡Yo soy! Y: ¡El tiempo llegó! No los sigan.
He said, “Watch out that you don’t get led astray, for many will come in my name, saying, ‘Ena Na [I AM (the Living God)], I am he,’ and, ‘The time is at hand.’ Therefore don’t follow them.
9 Cuando oigan de guerras e insurrecciones no teman, porque es necesario que suceda primero esto. Pero el fin no será de inmediato.
When you hear of wars and disturbances, don’t be terrified, for these things must happen first, but the end won’t come immediately.”
10 Entonces les decía: Se levantará nación contra nación y reino contra reino.
Then he said to them, “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.
11 En varios lugares habrá grandes terremotos, pestilencias y hambrunas. Y habrá horrores y grandes señales en el cielo.
There will be great earthquakes, famines, and plagues in various places. There will be terrors and great signs from heaven.
12 Pero antes de todo esto los detendrán, perseguirán y entregarán a las congregaciones judías y cárceles. Serán llevados ante reyes y gobernadores por causa de mi Nombre.
But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and will persecute you, delivering you up to synagogues and prisons, bringing you before kings and governors for my name’s sake.
13 Les servirá de [oportunidad] para el testimonio.
It will turn out as a testimony for you.
14 Por tanto, propónganse no preparar su defensa,
Settle it therefore in your hearts not to meditate beforehand how to answer,
15 porque Yo les daré palabras de sabiduría que no podrán resistir ni contradecir quienes los adversen.
for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to withstand or to contradict.
16 Serán entregados aun por padres, hermanos, parientes y amigos. [Algunos] de ustedes serán asesinados.
You will be handed over even by parents, brothers, relatives, and friends. They will cause some of you to be put to death.
17 Todos los aborrecerán por causa de mi Nombre,
You will be hated by all men for my name’s sake.
18 pero que de ningún modo perezca un cabello de su cabeza.
And not a hair of your head will perish.
19 Por su perseverancia ganarán sus vidas.
“By your endurance you will win your lives.
20 Cuando vean a Jerusalén rodeada por ejércitos, sepan que su destrucción está cerca.
“But when you see Jerusalem [City of peace] surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is at hand.
21 Entonces los que estén en Judea huyan a las montañas, los que estén en la ciudad salgan, y los que estén en los campos no vuelvan a ella.
Then let those who are in Judea [Praise] flee to the mountains. Let those who are in the middle of her depart. Let those who are in the country not enter therein.
22 Porque estos serán días de retribución para que se cumpla lo que está escrito.
For these are days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.
23 ¡Ay de las que estén embarazadas y de las que amamanten en aquellos días! Porque habrá gran calamidad sobre la tierra e ira para este pueblo.
Woe to those who are pregnant and to those who nurse infants in those days! For there will be great distress in the land, and wrath to this people.
24 Caerán a filo de espada, serán esparcidos como cautivos a todas las naciones y Jerusalén será hollada por gentiles hasta que sean cumplidos los tiempos de ellos.
They will fall by the edge of the sword, and will be led captive into all the nations. Jerusalem [City of peace] will be trampled down by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.
25 Habrá señales en el sol, la luna y las estrellas. Sobre la tierra habrá angustia de gentes en perplejidad por un rugido y oleaje del mar,
There will be signs in the sun, moon, and stars; and on the earth anxiety of nations, in perplexity for the roaring of the sea and the waves;
26 tal que desfallecen los hombres por miedo y expectación de lo que viene a la tierra habitada, porque las potencias de los cielos serán sacudidas.
men fainting for fear, and for expectation of the things which are coming on the world: for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
27 Entonces verán al Hijo del Hombre que viene con poder y gran gloria en una nube.
Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
28 Cuando esto suceda, enderécense y alcen sus cabezas porque su redención está cerca.
But when these things begin to happen, look up, and lift up your heads, because your redemption is near.”
29 Les dijo una parábola: Miren la higuera y todos los árboles.
He told them a parable. “See the fig tree, and all the trees.
30 Cuando ven que brotan, ustedes entienden que el verano está cerca.
When they are already budding, you see it and know by your own selves that the summer is already near.
31 Así también, cuando vean que sucede esto, sepan que está cerca el reino de Dios.
Even so you also, when you see these things happening, know that God’s Kingdom is near.
32 En verdad les digo: ¡Que de ningún modo pase este linaje hasta que suceda todo esto!
Most certainly I tell you, this generation will not pass away until all things are accomplished.
33 El cielo y la tierra pasarán, pero mis palabras de ningún modo pasarán.
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will by no means pass away.
34 Estén alerta, no sea que se carguen con relajamiento moral, embriaguez y afanes de la vida, y aquel día aparezca de repente sobre ustedes.
“So be careful, or your hearts will be loaded down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that day will come on you suddenly.
35 Porque vendrá como una trampa sobre todos los habitantes de la tierra.
For it will come like a snare on all those who dwell on the surface of all the earth.
36 Así que velen en todo tiempo, rueguen que tengan completa fuerza para escapar de todo esto que va a suceder y estar en pie delante del Hijo del Hombre.
Therefore be watchful all the time, praying that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will happen, and to stand before the Son of Man.”
37 [Jesús] enseñaba de día en el Templo y pasaba las noches en la Montaña de Los Olivos.
Every day Yeshua [Salvation] was teaching in the temple, and every night he would go out and spend the night on the mountain that is called Olivet.
38 En la mañana todo el pueblo acudía a Él para oírlo en el Templo.
All the people came early in the morning to him in the temple to hear him.
