Josué 18

1 Toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel se reunió en Silo y levantaron allí el Tabernáculo de Reunión. La tierra estaba sometida a ellos.

The whole congregation of the children of Israel assembled themselves together at Shiloh, and set up the Tent of Meeting there. The land was subdued before them.

2 Sin embargo, entre los hijos de Israel quedaban siete tribus que aún no habían recibido su herencia.

Seven tribes remained among the children of Israel, which had not yet divided their inheritance.

3 Entonces Josué dijo a los hijos de Israel: ¿Hasta cuándo serán ustedes negligentes para ir a poseer la tierra que les dio Yavé, el ʼElohim de sus antepasados?

Joshua said to the children of Israel, "How long will you neglect to go in to possess the land, which the LORD, the God of your fathers, has given you?

4 Designen tres varones de cada tribu para que yo los envíe, que se levanten, recorran la tierra, hagan una descripción escrita de ella según sus heredades y vuelvan a mí.

Appoint for you three men of each tribe. I will send them, and they shall arise, walk through the land, and describe it according to their inheritance; and they shall come to me.

5 La dividirán en siete partes. Judá permanecerá en su territorio en el sur, y los de la casa de José permanecerán en su territorio del norte.

They shall divide it into seven portions. Judah shall live in his borders on the south, and the house of Joseph shall live in their borders on the north.

6 Ustedes harán una descripción de la tierra en siete partes y me la traerán aquí. Yo echaré suertes por ustedes aquí delante de Yavé, nuestro ʼElohim.

You shall survey the land into seven parts, and bring the description here to me; and I will cast lots for you here before the LORD our God.

7 Pero los levitas no tienen parte entre ustedes, pues su herencia es el sacerdocio de Yavé. Gad y Rubén, y la media tribu de Manasés ya recibieron su herencia al otro lado del Jordán, al oriente, la cual Moisés, esclavo de Yavé, les dio.

For the Levites have no portion among you; for the priesthood of the LORD is their inheritance. Gad, Reuben, and the half-tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance beyond the Jordan eastward, which Moses the servant of the LORD gave them."

8 Aquellos hombres se levantaron y fueron. Josué mandó a los que iban a describir la tierra: Vayan, recorran la tierra, descríbanla y vuelvan a mí para que yo eche suertes delante de Yavé aquí en Silo.

The men arose and went. Joshua commanded those who went to survey the land, saying, "Go walk through the land, survey it, and come again to me. I will cast lots for you here before the LORD in Shiloh."

9 Aquellos hombres fueron y recorrieron la tierra, hicieron una descripción por ciudades en siete partes en un rollo y volvieron a Josué, al campamento en Silo.

The men went and passed through the land, and surveyed it by cities into seven portions on a scroll. They came to Joshua to the camp at Shiloh.

10 Josué les echó suertes en presencia de Yavé, en Silo. Allí repartió Josué la tierra a los hijos de Israel según sus divisiones.

Joshua cast lots for them in Shiloh before the LORD. There Joshua divided the land to the children of Israel according to their divisions.

11 Echó la suerte de la tribu de los hijos de Benjamín según sus familias, y les salió el territorio entre los hijos de Judá y los hijos de José.

The lot of the tribe of the descendants of Benjamin came up according to their families. The border of their lot went out between the descendants of Judah and the descendants of Joseph.

12 Por el norte su límite partía del Jordán, luego subía por el lado norte de Jericó, después subía por la región montañosa hacia el oeste y llegaban al desierto de Bet-avén.

Their border on the north quarter was from the Jordan. The border went up to the side of Jericho on the north, and went up through the hill country westward. It ended at the wilderness of Beth Aven.

13 Desde allí el límite pasaba a Luz, por el lado sur de Luz, que es Bet-ʼEl, y bajaba hacia Atarot-adar junto a la montaña que está al sur de Bet-horón de Abajo.

The border passed along from there to Luz, to the side of Luz (that is, Bethel), southward. The border went down to Ataroth Addar, by the mountain that lies on the south of Lower Beth Horon.

14 Luego el límite doblaba hacia el oeste por el lado sur de la región montañosa que está delante de Bet-horón, al sur, y volvía a salir a Quiriat-baal, que es Quiriat-jearim, ciudad de los hijos de Judá. Este es el lado del oeste.

The border extended, and turned around on the west quarter southward, from the mountain that lies before Beth Horon southward; and ended at Kiriath Baal (that is, Kiriath Jearim), a city of the descendants of Judah. This was the west quarter.

15 El lado sur partía desde el extremo de Quiriat-jearim, y el límite salía al oeste, seguía hasta la fuente de aguas de Neftoa.

The south quarter was from the farthest part of Kiriath Jearim. The border went out westward, and went out to the spring of the waters of Nephtoah.

16 Este límite bajaba al extremo de la región montañosa que está frente al valle del hijo de Hinom, que está al norte del valle de Refaim, luego bajaba al valle de Hinom, al lado sur del jebuseo, y de allí bajaba a En-rogel.

The border went down to the farthest part of the mountain that lies before the Valley of Ben Hinnom, which is in the Valley of Rephaim northward. It went down to the Valley of Hinnom, to the slope of the Jebusites southward, and went down to En Rogel.

17 Luego doblaba hacia el norte y seguía a En-semes, y de allí seguía a Gelilot, que está frente a la subida de Adumim, y bajaba a la piedra de Bohán, hijo de Rubén.

It extended northward, went out at En Shemesh, and went out to Geliloth, which is over against the ascent of Adummim. It went down to the Stone of Bohan the son of Reuben.

18 Pasaba por la ladera enfrente del Arabá, por el norte, y bajaba al Arabá.

And it passed on to the north to the shoulder of Beth Arabah, and went down to the Arabah.

19 Después el límite pasaba por el lado norte de Bet-hogla y terminaba en la bahía del norte del mar Salado, al sur de la desembocadura del Jordán. Este es el límite del sur.

The border passed along to the side of Beth Hoglah northward; and the border ended at the north bay of the Salt Sea, at the south end of the Jordan. This was the south border.

20 El Jordán era el límite por el este. Esta era la herencia de los hijos de Benjamín, por sus límites alrededor, según sus familias.

The Jordan was its border on the east quarter. This was the inheritance of the descendants of Benjamin, by the borders around it, according to their families.

21 Las ciudades de la tribu de los hijos de Benjamín, por sus familias, fueron: Jericó, Bet-hogla, Emec-casis,

Now the cities of the tribe of the descendants of Benjamin according to their families were Jericho, and Beth Hoglah, and Emek Keziz,

22 Bet-arabá, Samaraim, Bet-ʼEl,

and Beth Arabah, and Zemaraim, and Bethel,

23 Avim, Pará, Ofra,

and Avvim, and Parah, and Ophrah,

24 Quefar-hamoni, Ofni y Gaba: 12 ciudades con sus aldeas.

and Chephar Ammoni, and Ophni, and Geba; twelve cities with their villages.

25 Gabaón, Ramá, Beerot,

Gibeon, and Ramah, and Beeroth,

26 Mizpa, Quefirá, Moza,

and Mizpeh, and Chephirah, and Mozah,

27 Requem, Irpel, Taralá,

and Rekem, and Irpeel, and Taralah,

28 Sela, Elef, Jebús, que es Jerusalén, Gaba y Quiriat: 14 ciudades con sus aldeas. Esta es la herencia de los hijos de Benjamín según sus familias.

and Zelah, Haeleph, and Jebus (that is, Jerusalem), and Gibeath, and Kiriath Jearim; fourteen cities with their villages. This is the inheritance of the descendants of Benjamin according to their families.
