Salmos 62

1 Al maestro de coro. Según Iditún. Salmo de David. Solo en Dios se descansa, oh alma mía, porque la salud viene de Él.

To the Chief Musician. On Jeduthun—A Melody of David. Surely, towards God, silence [becometh] my soul, From him, is my salvation:

2 Él solo es mi roca, mi salvación, mi defensa: nunca seré conmovido.

Surely, he, is my rock and my salvation, My high tower—I shall not be greatly shaken!

3 ¿Hasta cuándo acometeréis a un solo hombre, queriendo todos derribarlo, como muro inclinado, como pared que se desploma?

How long will ye shout at a man? Ye shall be crushed all of you, —Like a wall that bulgeth, —a fence pushed in!

4 De su lugar excelso intentan despeñarle, ellos, que se deleitan con la mentira; bendicen con su boca, y en su corazón maldicen.

Surely, from his elevation, they have taken counsel to thrust him down, They accept falsehood, —With his mouth, they each of them bless, But, inwardly, they revile. (Selah)

5 Solo en Dios se descansa, oh alma mía, porque la salud viene de Él.

Surely, towards God, be thou silent, my soul, For, from him, is mine expectation:

6 Él solo es mi roca, mi salvación, mi defensa; nunca seré conmovido.

Surely, he, is my rock, and my salvation, My high tower—I shall not be shaken!

7 En Dios está mi salud y mi gloria; mi firme roca y mi refugio es Dios.

Upon God, [depend] my salvation and mine honour, My rock of strength, my refuge, are in God.

8 Oh pueblo, espera en Él en todo tiempo; en su presencia derramad vuestros corazones, porque Dios es para nosotros el amparo.

Trust ye in him all ye assembly of the people, Pour out, before him, your heart, God, is a refuge for us. (Selah)

9 Los hijos de los hombres no son más que un soplo; los poderosos, una mentira; puestos en la balanza suben alto; porque todos juntos pesan menos que el aire.

Surely, vanity, are men of low degree, Deception, men of high degree, —In the balances, they go up, They, are [made] of vanity, altogether.

10 No confiéis en la violencia, ni os gloriéis en la rapiña. Si vuestras riquezas aumentan, no pongáis en ellas el corazón.

Do not trust in extortion, Nor, with robbery, become vain, As for wealth, when it beareth fruit, Do not set [thereon your] heart.

11 Una cosa dijo Dios, y otra segunda le oí:

One thing, hath God spoken, Two things, [there are] which I have heard, That, power, belongeth unto God;

12 que el poder es de Dios, y la gracia, oh Señor, es tuya. Porque Tú recompensas a cada uno según sus obras.

And, thine, O My Lord, is lovingkindness, —For, thou, wilt pay back unto every man—according to his deed.
