Salmos 49
1 Al maestro de coro. De los hijos de Coré. Salmo. Oíd esto, naciones todas, escuchad, moradores todos del orbe,
To victorie, a salm to the sones of Chore. Alle ye folkis, here these thingis; alle ye that dwellen in the world, perseyue with eeris.
2 así plebeyos como nobles, ricos tanto como pobres.
Alle the sones of erthe and the sones of men; togidere the riche man and the pore in to oon.
3 Mi boca proferirá sabiduría, y la meditación de mi corazón, inteligencia.
Mi mouth schal speke wisdom; and the thenkyng of myn herte schal speke prudence.
4 Inclinaré mi oído a la parábola, y al son de la cítara propondré mi enigma.
I schal bouwe doun myn eere in to a parable; Y schal opene my resoun set forth in a sautree.
5 ¿Por qué he de temer yo en los días malos, cuando me rodea la malicia de los que me asechan,
Whi schal Y drede in the yuel dai? the wickidnesse of myn heele schal cumpasse me.
6 los que confían en sus recursos y se glorían de la abundancia de sus riquezas?
Whiche tristen in her owne vertu; and han glorie in the multitude of her richessis.
7 Pues nadie podrá librarse a sí mismo, ni dar a Dios un precio por su redención
A brother ayenbieth not, schal a man ayenbie? and he schal not yyue to God his plesyng.
8 —demasiado caro es el rescate de la vida— ni logrará nunca seguir viviendo por siempre
And he schal not yyue the prijs of raunsum of his soule; and he schal trauele with outen ende,
9 sin ver la muerte.
and he schal lyue yit in to the ende.
10 Pues verá que los sabios mueren, e igualmente perecen el insensato y el necio, dejando sus riquezas a extraños.
He schal not se perischyng, whanne he schal se wise men diynge; the vnwise man and fool schulen perische togidere. And thei schulen leeue her richessis to aliens;
11 Los sepulcros son sus mansiones para siempre, sus moradas de generación en generación, por más que hayan dado a las tierras sus nombres.
and the sepulcris of hem ben the housis of hem with outen ende. The tabernaclis of hem ben in generacioun and generacioun; thei clepiden her names in her londis.
12 Porque el hombre no permanece en su opulencia; desaparece como los brutos.
A man, whanne he was in honour, vndurstood not; he is comparisound to vnwise beestis, and he is maad lijk to tho.
13 Tal es la senda de los que estultamente confían, y tal el fin de los que se glorían de su suerte.
This weie of hem is sclaundir to hem; and aftirward thei schulen plese togidere in her mouth.
14 Como ovejas son echados al sepulcro; su pastor es la muerte, y a la mañana los justos dominarán sobre ellos. Pronto su figura se volverá un desecho, y el sepulcro será su casa. (Sheol h7585)
As scheep thei ben set in helle; deth schal gnawe hem. And iust men schulen be lordis of hem in the morewtid; and the helpe of hem schal wexe eld in helle, for the glorie of hem. (Sheol h7585)
Netheles God schal ayenbie my soule from the power of helle; whanne he schal take me. (Sheol h7585)
16 No temas si alguno se enriquece, si aumenta la opulencia de su casa;
Drede thou not, whanne a man is maad riche; and the glorie of his hows is multiplied.
17 porque al morir nada se llevará consigo, ni baja con él su fausto.
For whanne he schal die, he schal not take alle thingis; and his glorie schal not go doun with him.
18 Aunque él mientras vivía se jactase, congratulándose de pasarlo bien,
For his soule schal be blessid in his lijf; he schal knouleche to thee, whanne thou hast do wel to hym.
19 bajará a reunirse con sus padres, y no verá jamás la luz.
He schal entre til in to the generaciouns of hise fadris; and til in to with outen ende he schal not se liyt.
20 Pero el hombre en auge no comprende; desaparece como los brutos.
