Salmos 149

1 ¡Hallelú Yah! Cantad a Yahvé el cántico nuevo; resuenen sus alabanzas en la reunión de los santos.

Praise ye Jehovah. Sing to Jehovah a new song, and his praise in the assembly of the sanctified.

2 Alégrese Israel en su Hacedor, y los hijos de Sión regocíjense en su Rey.

Let Israel rejoice in him who made him. Let the sons of Zion be joyful in their King.

3 Alaben su Nombre entre danzas; cántenle al son del tímpano y de la cítara.

Let them praise his name in the dance. Let them sing praises to him with timbrel and harp.

4 Porque Yahvé se deleita en su pueblo; y ha adornado con el triunfo a los humildes.

For Jehovah takes pleasure in his people. He will beautify the meek with salvation.

5 Salten de alegría los santos por tal gloria, griten de júbilo desde sus triclinios.

Let the sanctified exult in glory. Let them sing for joy upon their beds.

6 En su boca vibra el elogio de Dios, y en sus manos espadas de dos filos,

The high praises of God are in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand

7 para tomar venganza de las naciones, y castigar a los gentiles;

to execute vengeance upon the nations, and punishments upon the peoples,

8 para atar a sus reyes con grillos, y a sus magnates con esposas de hierro;

to bind their kings with chains, and their ranking men with fetters of iron,

9 para ejecutar en ellos la sentencia escrita. Gloria es esta para todos sus santos. ¡Hallelú Yah!

to execute upon them the judgment written. All his sanctified have this honor. Praise ye Jehovah.
