Nehemías 12
1 Estos son los sacerdotes y los levitas que volvieron con Zorobabel, hijo de Salatiel, y con Jesúa: Seraías, Jeremías, Esdras,
These were the priests and Levites who came up with Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel and with Jeshua: Seraiah, Jeremiah, Ezra,
2 Amarías, Malluc, Hatús,
Amariah, Malluk, Hattush,
3 Secanías, Rehum, Meremot,
Shecaniah, Rehum, and Meremoth.
4 Iddó, Ginetoi, Abías,
There were Iddo, Ginnethon, Abijah,
5 Miamín, Maadías, Bilhá,
Mijamin, Moadiah, Bilgah,
6 Semeías, Joiarib, Jedaías,
Shemaiah, and Joiarib, Jedaiah,
7 Sallú, Amoc, Helcías. Jedaías Estos eran los príncipes de los sacerdotes y de sus hermanos, en los días de Jesúa.
Sallu, Amok, Hilkiah, and Jedaiah. These were the leaders of the priests and their associates in the days of Jeshua.
8 Levitas: Jesúa, Binuí, Cadmiel, Serebías, Judá y Matanías, el cual, con sus hermanos, dirigía (el canto de) las alabanzas.
The Levites were Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Judah, and Mattaniah, who was in charge of the thanksgiving songs, along with his associates.
9 Bacbuquías y Uní, sus hermanos, estaban en su ministerio en el coro opuesto.
Bakbukiah and Unni, their associates, stood opposite them during the service.
10 Jesúa engendró a Joaquim, Joaquim engendró a Eliasib, Eliasib engendró a Joiadá,
Jeshua was the father of Joiakim, Joiakim was the father of Eliashib, Eliashib was the father of Joiada,
11 Joiadá engendró a Jonatán y Jonatán engendró a Jadúa.
Joiada was the father of Jonathan, and Jonathan was the father of Jaddua.
12 En los días de Joaquim, los siguientes sacerdotes eran jefes de casas paternas: de la de Seraías: Meraías; de la de Jeremías: Hananías;
In the days of Joiakim these were the priests, the leaders of the families: Meraiah was the leader of Seraiah, Hananiah was the leader of Jeremiah,
13 de la de Esdras: Mesullam; de la de Amarías: Johanán;
Meshullam was the leader of Ezra, Jehohanan was the leader of Amariah,
14 de la de Melicú: Jonatán; de la de Sebanías: José;
Jonathan was the leader of Malluk, and Joseph was the leader of Shebaniah.
15 de la de Harim: Adná; de la de Meraiot: Helcai;
Adna was the leader of Harim, Helkai the leader of Meremoth,
16 de la de Iddó: Zacarías; de la de Ginetón: Mesullam;
Zechariah was the leader of Iddo, Meshullam was the leader of Ginnethon, and
17 de la de Abías: Sicrí; de la de Miniamín y de Moadías: Piltai;
Zichri was the leader of Abijah. ... of Miniamin. Piltai was the leader of Moadiah.
18 de la de Bilgá: Samúa; de la de Semaías: Jonatán;
Shammua was the leader of Bilgah, Jehonathan was the leader of Shemaiah,
19 de la de Joiarib: Matenai; de la de Jedaías: Ucí;
Mattenai was the leader of Joiarib, Uzzi was the leader of Jedaiah,
20 de la de Sallai: Callai; de la de Amoc: Eber;
Kallai was the leader of Sallu, Eber was the leader of Amok,
21 de la de Helcías: Hasabías; de la de Jedaías: Natanael.
Hashabiah was the leader of Hilkiah, and Nethanel was the leader of Jedaiah.
22 En los días de Eliasib, Joaidá, Johanán y Jadúa, reinando Darío el persa, fueron inscritos los levitas, jefes de casas paternas, lo mismo que los sacerdotes.
In the days of Eliashib, the Levites Eliashib, Joiada, Johanan, and Jaddua were recorded as the heads of families, and the priests were recorded during the reign of Darius the Persian.
23 Los hijos de Leví, jefes de casas paternas, fueron inscritos en el libro de los anales hasta el tiempo de Johanán, hijo de Eliasib.
The descendants of Levi, their leaders of families were recorded in the book of the annals up to the days of Johanan son of Eliashib.
24 Príncipes de los levitas eran: Hasabías, Sarabías, Jesúa, hijo de Cadmiel, y sus hermanos que en el coro opuesto cantaban los salmos y alabanzas, por turno, según la disposición de David, varón de Dios.
The leaders of the Levites were Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua son of Kadmiel, with their associates, who stood opposite them to give praise and to give thanks, responding section by section, in obedience to the command of David, the man of God.
25 Matanías, Bacbuquías, Obadías, Mesullam, Talmón y Acub eran porteros y custodiaban los almacenes en las puertas.
Mattaniah, Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon, and Akkub were gatekeepers standing guard at the storerooms by the gates.
26 Estos vivían en tiempo de Joaquín, hijo de Jesúa, hijo de Josadac, y en tiempo de Nehemías, gobernador, y de Esdras, sacerdote escriba.
They served in the days of Joiakim son of Jeshua son of Jozadak, and in the days of Nehemiah the governor and of Ezra the priest and scribe.
27 Con motivo de la dedicación de la muralla de Jerusalén se buscaron levitas por todos sus lugares, a fin de traerlos a Jerusalén, para celebrar la dedicación y la fiesta con alabanzas y cánticos y al son de címbalos, salterios y cítaras.
At the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem, the people sought out the Levites wherever they lived, to bring them to Jerusalem to celebrate the dedication with joy, with thanksgivings and singing with cymbals, harps, and with lyres.
28 Se reunieron, pues, los hijos de los cantores, tanto los de los alrededores de Jerusalén como los de las aldeas de los Netofatitas,
The fellowship of singers gathered together from the district around Jerusalem and from the villages of the Netophathites.
29 de Bet-Gilgal y de los campos de Geba y Asmávet; pues los cantores se habían edificado aldeas alrededor de Jerusalén.
They also came from Beth Gilgal and from the fields of Geba and Azmaveth, for the singers had built for themselves villages around Jerusalem.
30 Se purificaron entonces los sacerdotes y los levitas, y luego purificaron al pueblo, las puertas y las murallas.
The priests and the Levites purified themselves, and then they purified the people, the gates, and the wall.
31 Después mandé que los príncipes de Judá subieran sobre la muralla, y formé dos grandes coros de alabanza; el primero se puso en marcha sobre la muralla, por la mano derecha, hacia la puerta del Estiércol.
Then I had the leaders of Judah go up to the top of the wall, and I appointed two large choirs who gave thanks. One went to the right on the wall toward the Dung Gate.
32 Tras ellos iban Hosaías, con la mitad de los príncipes de Judá,
Hoshaiah and half the leaders of Judah followed them,
33 y Azarías, Esdras, Mesullam, Judá, Benjamín, Semeías y Jeremías,
and after them went Azariah, Ezra, Meshullam,
34 y de los hijos de los sacerdotes, con trompetas: Zacarías, hijo de Jonatán, hijo de Semeías, hijo de Matanías, hijo de Micaías, hijo de Zacur, hijo de Asaf,
Judah, Benjamin, Shemaiah, Jeremiah,
35 y sus hermanos: Semeías, Asarel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Natanael, Judá y Hananí, con los instrumentos músicos de David, varón de Dios, y al frente de ellos Esdras escriba.
and some of the priests' sons with trumpets, and Zechariah son of Jonathan son of Shemaiah son of Mattaniah son of Micaiah son of Zaccur son of Asaph.
36 A la puerta de la Fuente subieron derechos por las gradas de la ciudad de David, donde se alza la muralla sobre la casa de David, hasta la puerta del Agua, al oriente.
There also were Zechariah's relatives, Shemaiah, Azarel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethanel, Judah, Hanani, with the musical instruments of David the man of God. Ezra the scribe was in front of them.
37 El segundo coro de alabanzas caminaba sobre la muralla en dirección opuesta, y yo detrás de ellos, con la (otra) mitad del pueblo, por encima de la torre de los Hornos hasta el muro ancho;
By the Fountain Gate they went straight up on the stairs of the city of David, by the stairway to the wall above David's palace, to the Water Gate on the east.
38 y sobrepasando la puerta de Efraím, la puerta Vieja, la puerta del Pescado, la torre de Hananeel y la torre de Mea, hasta la puerta de las Ovejas, vino a parar en la puerta de la Cárcel.
The other choir of those who gave thanks went in the other direction. I followed them on the wall with half the people, above the Tower of Ovens, to the Broad Wall,
39 Después se apostaron los dos coros de alabanzas en la Casa de Dios, como yo también y la mitad de los magistrados conmigo;
and above the Gate of Ephraim, and by the Old Gate, and by the Fish Gate and the Tower of Hananel and the Tower of the Hundred, to the Sheep Gate, and they stopped at the Gate of the Guard.
40 y los sacerdotes Eliaquim, Maasías, Miniamín, Micaías, Elioenai, Zacarías, Hananías con las trompetas;
So both choirs of those who gave thanks took their place in the house of God, and I also took my place with half of the officials with me.
41 y Maasías, Semeías, Eleazar, Ucí, Johanán, Malquías, Elam y Éser. Y cantaron los cantores bajo la dirección de Israhías.
Then the priests took their place: Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Micaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, and Hananiah, with the trumpets,
42 En aquel día inmolaron muchas víctimas, y reinó gran alegría, porque Dios los había llenado de gran gozo. También las mujeres y los niños se regocijaron, y el alborozo de Jerusalén se oyó desde lejos.
and also Maaseiah, Shemaiah, Eleazar, Uzzi, Jehohanan, Malchijah, Elam, and Ezer, and the singers made themselves heard and Jezrahiah was their leader.
43 En aquel tiempo fueron nombrados intendentes de las cámaras de los tesoros, de las ofrendas alzadas, de las primicias y de los diezmos, para almacenar allí lo proveniente de los territorios de las ciudades, las porciones asignadas por la Ley a los sacerdotes y a los levitas; porque se regocijaba Judá al ver cómo los sacerdotes y levitas
They offered great sacrifices that day, and rejoiced, for God had made them rejoice with great joy. Also the women and the children rejoiced. So the joy of Jerusalem could be heard far away.
44 cumplían en sus puestos el servicio de Dios y el reglamento de las purificaciones, lo mismo que los cantores y porteros, conforme a las disposiciones de David y de Salomón, su hijo.
On that day men were appointed to be in charge of the storerooms for the contributions, the firstfruits, and the tithes, to gather into them the portions required by the law for the priests and for the Levites. Each was assigned to work the fields near the towns. For Judah rejoiced over the priests and the Levites who were standing before them.
45 Pues ya en tiempos antiguos, en los días de David y de Asaf, había directores de los cantores y cánticos de alabanzas y de acciones de gracias en honor de Dios.
They performed the service of their God, and the service of purification, and so did the singers and the gatekeepers, in keeping with the command of David and of Solomon his son.
46 En los tiempos de Zorobabel y en los días de Nehemías, todo Israel daba las raciones establecidas para cada día a los cantores y porteros. También a los levitas se daban las cosas consagradas y por medio de los levitas a los hijos de Aarón.
For long ago, in the days of David and Asaph, there were directors of singers, and there were songs of praise and thanksgiving to God.
In the days of Zerubbabel and in the days of Nehemiah, all Israel gave the daily portions for the singers and the gatekeepers. They set aside the portion that was for the Levites, and the Levites set aside a portion for the descendants of Aaron.
