Jeremías 23
1 “¡Ay de los pastores que destrozan y dispersan las ovejas de mi dehesa! —oráculo de Yahvé.
Wo to the scheepherdis, that scateren and to-drawen the floc of my lesewe, seith the Lord.
2 Por eso, así dice Yahvé, el Dios de Israel, acerca de los pastores que apacientan mi pueblo: Vosotros habéis dispersado mi grey, la habéis desparramado y no habéis cuidado de ella. He aquí que Yo os castigaré por la maldad de vuestras obras, dice Yahvé.
Therfor the Lord God of Israel seith these thingis to the scheepherdis, that feeden my puple, Ye han scaterid my floc, and han cast hem out, and han not visitid hem; lo! Y schal visite on you the malice of youre studies, seith the Lord.
3 Yo mismo reuniré el resto de mis ovejas, de todos los países donde las he dispersado, y las haré volver a sus prados, y crecerán y se multiplicarán.
And Y schal gadere togidere the remenauntis of my floc fro alle londis, to whiche Y schal caste hem out thidur; and Y schal turne hem to her feeldis, and thei schulen encreesse, and schulen be multiplied.
4 Les suscitaré pastores que las apacienten; no temerán más, ni tendrán que temblar; y no faltará ninguna de ellas, dice Yahvé.
And Y schal reise schepherdis on hem, and thei schulen feede hem; thei schulen no more drede, and schulen not be aferd; and noon schal be souyt of the noumbre seith the Lord.
5 He aquí que vienen días, dice Yahvé, en que suscitaré a David un Vástago justo, que reinará como rey, y será sabio, y ejecutará el derecho y la justicia en la tierra.
Lo! daies comen, seith the Lord, and Y schal reise a iust buriownyng to Dauid; and he schal regne a kyng, and he schal be wijs, and he schal make doom and riytfulnesse in erthe.
6 En sus días Judá será salvo, e Israel habitará en paz, y el nombre con que será llamado, es este: “Yahvé, justicia nuestra.”
In tho daies Juda schal be sauid, and Israel schal dwelle tristili; and this is the name which thei schulen clepe hym, The Lord oure riytful.
7 Por eso, he aquí que vendrán días, dice Yahvé, en que ya no se dirá: «¡Vive Yahvé, que sacó a los hijos de Israel de la tierra de Egipto!»,
For this thing lo! daies comen, seith the Lord, and thei schulen no more seie, The Lord lyueth, that ledde the sones of Israel out of the lond of Egipt;
8 sino: “¡Vive Yahvé, que sacó y trajo a los hijos de la casa de Israel de la tierra del Norte y de todos los países adonde Yo los había arrojado.” Y habitarán en su propia tierra.
but, The Lord lyueth, that ledde out, and brouyte the seed of the hous of Israel fro the lond of the north, and fro alle londis to whiche Y hadde cast hem out thidur; and thei schulen dwelle in her lond.
9 A los profetas: Se me parte el corazón en mi pecho, tiemblan todos mis huesos; ante Yahvé y su santa palabra estoy como un ebrio, como un hombre embriagado de vino.
To the prophetis; Myn herte is contrit in the myddis of me, alle my boonys trembliden togidere; Y am maad as a man drunkun, and as a man weet of wyn, of the face of the Lord, and of the face of the hooli wordis of hym;
10 Pues el país está atestado de adúlteros; a causa de la maldición la tierra está de luto, y se han secado los pastos del desierto; su carrera se dirige hacia el mal, y su fuerza consiste en hacer lo que no es recto.
for the lond is fillid with auowteris. For the erthe mourenede of the face of cursyng; the feeldis of desert ben maad drie, the cours of hem is maad yuel, and her strengthe is vnlijk.
11 “Porque tanto el profeta como el sacerdote han apostatado, hasta en mi Casa he encontrado su malicia, dice Yahvé.
For whi the profete and the prest ben defoulid; and in myn hous, seith the Lord, Y foond the yuel of hem.
12 Por eso su camino les será un resbaladero en medio de tinieblas; serán empujados, de modo que caigan en él; pues haré venir sobre ellos la calamidad en el año en que Yo les visite, dice Yahvé.
Therfor the weie of hem schal be as slidur in derknessis, for thei schulen be hurtlid, and schulen falle doun therynne; for Y schal bringe on hem yuels, the yeer of visitacioun of hem, seith the Lord.
13 En los profetas de Samaria he visto cosas insensatas, profetizaban por Baal, e hicieron errar a Israel, mi pueblo.
And in the profetis of Samarie Y siy fonnednesse, and thei profesieden in Baal, and disseyueden my puple Israel.
14 Pero en los profetas de Jerusalén he visto lo más horrible: cometen adulterio, practican la mentira, y dan su apoyo a los malhechores, para que nadie se convierta de su maldad. Todos ellos son para Mí como Sodoma, y sus habitantes como Gomorra.”
And in the profetis of Jerusalem Y siy licnesse, auoutrie, and the weie of leesyng; and thei confortiden the hondis of the worste men, that ech man schulde not conuerte fro his malice; alle thei ben maad as Sodom to me, and alle the dwellers therof `ben maad as Gommorre.
15 Por tanto, así dice Yahvé de los ejércitos contra los profetas: “He aquí que les daré para comida ajenjo, y para bebida agua envenenada, porque de los profetas de Jerusalén la impiedad se ha difundido sobre todo el país.
Therfor the Lord of oostis seith these thingis to the prophetis, Lo! Y schal feed hem with wermod, and Y schal yyue drynke to hem with galle; for whi defoulyng is goen out of the profetis of Jerusalem on al the lond.
16 Así dice Yahvé de los ejércitos: No escuchéis las palabras de los profetas que os profetizan; os embaucan, os cuentan las visiones de su imaginación, que no son de la boca de Yahvé.
The Lord of oostis seith these thingis, Nyle ye here the wordis of profetis, that profesien to you, and disseyuen you; thei speken the visioun of her herte, not of the mouth of the Lord.
17 Repiten a los que me desprecian: «Yahvé ha dicho: Tendréis paz»; y a cuantos siguen su obstinado corazón les dicen: «Ningún mal vendrá sobre vosotros.»
Thei seien to hem that blasfemen me, The Lord spak, Pees schal be to you; and thei seiden to ech man that goith in the schrewidnesse of his herte, Yuel schal not come on you.
18 ¿Quién (de ellos) asistió al consejo de Yahvé, vio y oyó su palabra? ¿Quién prestó oído para escuchar lo que Él dijo?
For whi who is present in the councel of the Lord, and siy, and herde his word? who bihelde, and herde the word of hym?
19 Ved que de Yahvé viene un furioso torbellino, una tempestad impetuosa, que descargará sobre la cabeza de los impíos.
Lo! the whirlewynd of the Lordis indignacioun schal go out, and tempest brekynge schal come on the heed of wickid men.
20 No cesará la ira de Yahvé, hasta que ejecute y cumpla los designios de su corazón. Al fin de los tiempos lo comprenderéis.
The strong veniaunce of the Lord schal not turne ayen, til that he do, and til that he fille the thouyt of his herte. In the laste daies ye schulen vndurstonde the councel of hym.
21 Yo no enviaba a esos profetas, ellos (de suyo) corrían; Yo no les hablaba, y sin embargo profetizaban.
Y sente not the profetis, and thei runnen; Y spak not to hem, and thei profesieden.
22 Si han asistido a mi consejo, que comuniquen mis palabras a mi pueblo, y lo conviertan de su mal camino, y de la maldad de sus obras.
If thei hadden stonde in my councel, and hadde maad knowun my wordis to my puple, forsothe Y hadde turned hem awei fro her yuel weie, and fro her worste thouytis.
23 ¿Soy Yo Dios solo de cerca? dice Yahvé. ¿No soy también Dios de lejos?
Gessist thou, whether Y am God of niy, seith the Lord, and not God afer?
24 ¿Acaso un hombre puede ocultarse en escondrijo alguno, sin que lo vea Yo? dice Yahvé. ¿No lleno Yo el cielo y la tierra? dice Yahvé.
A man schal not be priuy in hid places, and Y schal not se hym, seith the Lord. Whether Y fille not heuene and erthe? seith the Lord.
25 He oído lo que dicen los profetas, los que en mi nombre profetizan mentiras, diciendo: «He tenido un sueño, he tenido un sueño.»
Y herde what thingis the profetis seiden, profesiynge a leesyng in my name, and seiynge, Y dremede dremes.
26 ¿Hasta cuándo ha de durar esto en el corazón de esos profetas que profetizan mentiras, y presentan como vaticinios las imposturas de su corazón?
Hou longe is this thing in the herte of profetis, profesiynge a leesyng, and profesiynge the disseite of her herte?
27 Por sus sueños que unos a otros se van contando, quieren que mi pueblo olvide mi nombre, como sus padres olvidaron mi nombre por amor de Baal.
Whiche wolen make, that my puple foryete my name for the dremes of hem, which ech man tellith to his neiybore, as the fadris of hem foryaten my name for Baal.
28 El profeta que tenga un sueño cuente el sueño; y el que reciba palabra mía, proclame mi palabra con fidelidad. ¿Qué tiene que ver la paja con el trigo? dice Yahvé.
A profete that hath a dreme, telle a dreem; and he that hath my word, speke verili my word. What is with chaffis to the wheete? seith the Lord.
29 ¿No es mi palabra como fuego, dice Yahvé, y como martillo que quebranta la roca?
Whether my wordis ben not as fier brennynge, seith the Lord, and as an hamer al to-brekynge a stoon?
30 Por eso, he aquí que estoy contra esos profetas, dice Yahvé, que se roban mutuamente mis palabras.
Therfor lo! Y am redi to the profetis, seith the Lord, that stelen my wordis, ech man fro his neiybore.
31 He aquí que estoy contra esos profetas, dice Yahvé, que se valen de sus lenguas para hablar en tono de oráculo.
Lo! Y to the profetis, seith the Lord, that taken her tungis, and seien, The Lord seith.
32 He aquí que estoy contra esos profetas que sueñan mentiras, dice Yahvé, y contándolos extravían con sus mentiras y fanfarronadas a mi pueblo. Yo no los he enviado ni les he dado orden alguna. De ninguna manera aprovechan a este pueblo, dice Yahvé.
Lo! Y to the profetis, dremynge a leesyng, seith the Lord; which telden tho, and disseyueden my puple in her leesyng, and in her myraclis, whanne Y hadde not sente hem, nether hadde comaundide to hem; whiche profitiden no thing to this puple, seith the Lord.
33 Cuando te preguntare este pueblo, o un profeta, o un sacerdote, diciendo: «¿Cuál es la carga de Yahvé?» les responderás: La carga sois vosotros, y Yo os desecharé, dice Yahvé.
Therfor if this puple, ether profete, ether prest, axith thee, and seith, What is the birthun of the Lord? thou schalt seie to hem, Ye ben the birthun, for Y schal caste you awei, seith the Lord;
34 Y si el profeta, o el sacerdote, o el pueblo, dijere: «Carga de Yahvé», Yo castigaré a tal hombre y a su casa.
and a profete, and a prest, and the puple, that seith, The birthun of the Lord, Y schal visite on that man, and on his hous.
35 Así habéis de decir cada uno a su compañero, y cada cual a su hermano: «¿Qué ha respondido Yahvé?» «¿Qué dijo Yahvé?»
Ye schulen seie these thingis, ech man to his neiybore, and to his brother, What answeride the Lord? and what spak the Lord?
36 Mas no digáis más «Carga de Yahvé», pues la carga de cada cual será su propia palabra; ya que habéis pervertido las palabras del Dios vivo, Yahvé de los ejércitos, nuestro Dios.
For the birthun of the Lord schal no more be remembrid, and the word of ech man schal be birthun to hym; and ye han peruertid the wordis of lyuynge God, of the Lord of oostis, youre God.
37 Así has de preguntar al profeta: «¿Qué te ha respondido Yahvé?», «¿Qué es lo que dijo Yahvé?»
Thou schalt seie these thingis to the profete, What answeride the Lord to thee? and what spak the Lord?
38 Pero si decís: «Carga de Yahvé», entonces, así dice Yahvé: Porque decís todavía esta palabra: «Carga de Yahvé», después de haberos Yo prohibido decir: «Carga de Yahvé»,
Forsothe if ye seien, The birthin of the Lord, for this thing the Lord seith these thingis, For ye seiden this word, The birthun of the Lord, and Y sente to you, and Y seide, Nyle ye seie, The birthun of the Lord; therfor lo!
39 por eso he aquí que os olvidaré del todo, y os desecharé, al par que la ciudad que di a vosotros y a vuestros padres;
Y schal take you awei, and schal bere, and Y schal forsake you, and the citee which Y yaf to you, and to youre fadris, fro my face.
40 y traeré sobre vosotros oprobio sempiterno, ignominia eterna, cuya memoria nunca se borrará.”
And Y schal yyue you in to euerlastynge schenschipe, and in to euerlastynge sclaundir, that schal neuere be doon awei bi foryetyng.
