Isaías 54

1 Regocíjate, estéril, tú que estabas sin hijos, prorrumpe en júbilo y gritos de alegría, tú que nunca estuviste de parto; pues son más numerosos los hijos de la abandonada que los hijos de aquella que tiene marido, dice Yahvé.

Thou bareyn, that childist not, herie; thou that childist not, synge heriyng, and make ioie; for whi many sones ben of the forsakun `womman more than of hir that hadde hosebonde, seith the Lord.

2 Dilata el lugar de tu tienda, que se hagan más anchas las pieles de tu pabellón; no seas parca en ello, alarga tus cuerdas, y afianza tus estacas.

Alarge thou the place of thi tente, and stretche forth the skynnes of thi tabernaclis; spare thou not, make longe thi roopis, and make sad thi nailis.

3 Pues te extenderás a la derecha y a la izquierda; porque tu prole poseerá las naciones, y poblará las ciudades desoladas.

For thou schalt perse to the riytside and to the leftside; and thi seed schal enherite hethene men, and schal dwelle in forsakun citees.

4 No temas, pues no quedarás confundida; no te avergüences, porque no tendrás de qué avergonzarte. Te olvidarás de la vergüenza de tu juventud, y no te acordarás más del oprobio de tu viudez.

Nile thou drede, for thou schal not be schent, nether thou schalt be aschamed. For it schal not schame thee; for thou schalt foryete the schenschipe of thi yongthe, and thou schalt no more thenke on the schenschipe of thi widewehod.

5 Porque esposo tuyo es tu Creador, cuyo nombre es Yahvé de los ejércitos, y tú redentor es el Santo de Israel, que se llama Dios de toda la tierra.

For he that made thee, schal be lord of thee; the Lord of oostis is his name; and thin ayenbiere, the hooli of Israel, schal be clepid God of al erthe.

6 Pues Yahvé te ha llamado (de nuevo) como a una mujer abandonada y afligida de espíritu, como a la esposa de la juventud que ha sido repudiada, dice tu Dios.

For the Lord hath clepid thee as a womman forsakun and morenynge in spirit, and a wijf, `that is cast awei fro yongthe.

7 Por un breve momento te abandoné; mas con gran misericordia te acogeré de nuevo.

Thi Lord God seide, At a poynt in litil tyme Y forsook thee, and Y schal gadere thee togidere in greete merciful doyngis.

8 En un desborde de ira te oculté por un instante mi rostro; pero con eterna misericordia tuve compasión de ti, dice Yahvé, tu Redentor.

In a moment of indignacioun Y hidde my face a litil fro thee, and in merci euerlastynge Y hadde merci on thee, seide thin ayenbiere, the Lord.

9 Pues esto es para Mí (como lo de) las aguas de Noé, cuando juré que las aguas de Noé no inundarían más la tierra; así he jurado no enfurecerme más contra ti, ni amenazarte.

As in the daies of Noe, this thing is to me, to whom Y swoor, that Y schulde no more bringe watris of the greet flood on the erthe; so Y swoor, that Y be no more wrooth to thee, and that Y blame not thee.

10 Aun cuando se muevan los montes y vacilen los collados, mi misericordia no se alejará de ti, y no vacilará mi alianza de paz, dice el que se compadece de ti, Yahvé.

Forsothe hillis schulen be mouyd togidere, and litle hillis schulen tremble togidere; but my merci schal not go a wei fro thee, and the boond of my pees schal not be mouyd, seide the merciful doere, the Lord.

11 Pobrecita, azotada por la tempestad, y que estás sin consuelo, he aquí que Yo asentaré tus piedras sobre carbunclos, y te cimentaré sobre zafiros.

Thou litle and pore, drawun out bi tempest, with outen ony coumfort, lo! Y schal strewe thi stoonys bi ordre, and Y schal founde thee in safiris;

12 Construiré tus almenas con rubíes, tus puertas con piedras de cristal; y toda tu muralla con piedras preciosas.

and Y schal sette iaspis thi touris, and thi yatis in to grauun stoonys, and alle thin eendis in to desirable stoonys.

13 Todos tus hijos serán instruidos por Yahvé, y gozarán de abundancia de paz.

`Y schal make alle thi sones tauyt of the Lord; and the multitude of pees to thi sones,

14 Serás restablecida en justicia; y estarás lejos de la opresión, pues nada tendrás que temer; y lejos del espanto, el cual no te alcanzará más.

and thou schalt be foundid in riytfulnesse. Go thou awei fer fro fals caleng, for thou schalt not drede; and fro drede, for it schal not neiye to thee.

15 Si (enemigos) se juntan contra ti, no es de parte mía; cuantos se juntaren contra ti, delante de ti caerán.

Lo! a straunger schal come, that was not with me; he, that was sum tyme thi comelyng, schal be ioyned to thee.

16 He aquí que Yo he hecho al herrero, que sopla las brasas del fuego y forja el arma para su obra. Yo he hecho también al devastador para destruir.

Lo! Y made a smyth blowynge coolis in fier, and bringynge forth a vessel in to his werk; and Y haue maad a sleere, for to leese.

17 Toda arma forjada contra ti será ineficaz, y tú condenarás toda lengua que se mueva para juzgarte. Esta es la herencia de los siervos de Yahvé y la justicia que de Mí les vendrá —oráculo de Yahvé.

Ech vessel which is maad ayens thee, schal not be dressid; and in the doom thou schalt deme ech tunge ayenstondynge thee. This is the eritage of the seruauntis of the Lord, and the riytfulnesse of hem at me, seith the Lord.
