Éxodo 14
1 Habló Yahvé a Moisés, diciendo:
Forsothe the Lord spak to Moises, and seide, Speke thou to the sones of Israel;
2 “Di a los hijos de Israel que se vuelvan y acampen frente a Fihahirot, entre Migdol y el mar, enfrente de Baalsefón. Delante de ese lugar acamparéis, junto al mar.
turne thei ayen, and sette thei tentis euene ayens Fiayroth, which is bitwixe Magdalum and the see, ayens Beelsefon; in the siyt therof ye schulen sette tentis ouer the see.
3 Porque el Faraón dirá respecto de los hijos de Israel: ‘Andan errantes en el país, y el desierto los tiene encerrados.’
And Farao schal seie on the sones of Israel, Thei ben maad streit in the lond, the deseert hath closid hem to gidere.
4 Y Yo endureceré el corazón del Faraón, y os perseguirá; pero Yo manifestaré mi gloria en el Faraón y en todo su ejército, y sabrán los egipcios que Yo soy Yahvé.” Así lo hicieron.
And Y schal make hard his herte, and he schal pursue you, and Y schal be glorified in Farao, and in al his oost; and Egipcians schulen wite that Y am the Lord; and thei diden so.
5 Efectivamente, cuando fue dado aviso al rey de Egipto que había huido el pueblo, se mudó el corazón del Faraón y de sus siervos respecto del pueblo, y dijeron: “¿Qué es lo que hemos hecho dejando ir a Israel, privándonos así de su servicio?”
And it was teld to the kyng of Egipcians, that the puple hadde fled; and the herte of Farao and of hise seruauntis was chaungid on the puple, and thei seiden, What wolden we do, that we leften Israel, that it schulde not serue us?
6 Hizo, entonces, enganchar sus carros y llevó consigo a su pueblo.
Therfor Farao ioynede the chare, and took with him al his puple;
7 Tomó seiscientos carros escogidos y todos los carros de Egipto, con capitanes para todos ellos.
and he took sixe hundrid chosyn charis, and what euer thing of charis was in Egipt, and duykis of al the oost.
8 Así endureció Yahvé el corazón del Faraón, rey de Egipto, el cual persiguió a los hijos de Israel; pero los hijos de Israel salieron (guiados) por una mano elevada.
And the Lord made hard `the herte of Farao, kyng of Egipt, and he pursuede the sones of Israel; and thei weren go out in an hiy hond.
9 Los persiguieron, pues, los egipcios, todos los caballos de los carros del Faraón, y su gente de a caballo y su ejército; y les dieron alcance mientras acampaban junto al mar, cerca de Fihahirot, frente a Baalsefón.
And whanne Egipcians pursueden the steppis of the sones of Israel bifor goynge, thei founden hem in tentis on the see; al the chyualrye and charis of Farao, and al the oost weren in Fiayroth, ayens Beelsefon.
10 Cuando el Faraón se iba acercando, los hijos de Israel alzaron sus ojos, y he aquí que los egipcios marcharon en pos de ellos. Con lo que se amedrentaron mucho los hijos de Israel y clamaron a Yahvé.
And whanne Farao hadde neiyed the sones of Israel, reisiden her iyen, and thei sien Egipcians bihynde hem, and dredden greetli; and thei crieden to the Lord,
11 Y dijeron a Moisés: “¿Acaso no había sepulturas en Egipto para que nos hayas traído a morir en el desierto? ¿Qué has hecho con nosotros sacándonos de Egipto?
and seiden to Moises, In hap sepulcris weren not in Egipt, therfor thou hast take vs awei, that we schulen die in wildirnesse? what woldist thou do this, that thou leddist vs out of Egipt?
12 ¿No te decíamos en Egipto: Déjanos que sirvamos a los egipcios? Porque mejor nos sería servir a los egipcios que morir en el desierto.”
Whether this is not the word which we spaken to thee in Egipt, `and seiden, Go awei fro vs, that we serue Egipcians? for it is myche betere to serue hem, than to die in wildirnesse.
13 Contestó Moisés al pueblo: “No temáis; estad firmes, y veréis el auxilio que Yahvé os otorgará en este día, pues los egipcios que hoy veis, no los volveréis a ver nunca jamás.
And Moises seide to the puple, Nyle ye drede, stonde ye, and `se ye the grete werkys of God, whiche he schal do to dai; for ye schulen no more se Egipcians, whiche ye seen now, til in to with outen ende;
14 Yahvé peleará por vosotros, y vosotros quedaos tranquilos.”
the Lord schal fiyte for you, and ye schulen be stille.
15 Y dijo Yahvé a Moisés “¿Por qué sigues clamando a mí? Manda a los hijos de Israel que se pongan en marcha.
And the Lord seide to Moises, What criest thou to me? Speke thou to the sones of Israel, that thei go forth; forsothe reise thou thi yerde,
16 Y tú alza tu vara, y extiende tu mano sobre el mar y divídelo, para que los hijos de Israel entren en medio del mar a pie enjuto.
and stretche forth thin hond on the see, and departe thou it, that the sones of Israel go in the myddis of the see, by drie place.
17 Yo, entretanto, endureceré el corazón de los egipcios para que entren tras ellos, y se manifestará mi gloria en el Faraón y en todo su ejército, en sus carros y en su caballería.
Forsothe Y schal make hard the herte of Egipcians, that thei pursue you, and Y schal be glorified in Farao, and in al the oost of hym, and in the charis, and in the knyytis of hym;
18 Y conocerán los egipcios que Yo soy Yahvé, cuando haya manifestado mi gloria en el Faraón, en sus carros y en su caballería.
and Egipcians schulen wite that Y am the Lord God, whanne Y schal be glorified in Farao, and in the charis, and in the knyytis of hym.
19 Se levantó entonces el Ángel de Yahvé que marchaba al frente del ejército de Israel, y se puso detrás de ellos. Se levantó también la columna de nube de delante de ellos, y se colocó a la espalda,
And the aungel of the Lord, that yede bifore the castellis of Israel, took hym silf, and yede bihynde hem; and the piler of cloude yede to gidir with hym, and lefte the formere thingis aftir the bak,
20 intercalándose así entre el campamento de los egipcios y el campamento de los israelitas. Era nube y tinieblas (por una parte), y (por la otra) iluminaba la noche, de modo que no pudieron acercarse aquellos a estos en toda la noche.
and stood bitwixe the `castels of Egipcians and castels of Israel; and the cloude was derk toward Egipcians, and liytnynge `the nyyt toward `the children of Israel, so that in al the tyme of the niyt thei miyten not neiy togidere to hem silf.
21 Extendió Moisés su mano sobre el mar, y Yahvé hizo soplar un viento del Oriente muy fuerte durante toda la noche, el cual hizo retroceder el mar y lo dejó seco, y se dividieron las aguas.
And whanne Moises hadde stretchid forth the hond on the see, the Lord took it awei, the while a greet wynde and brennynge blew in al the niyt, and turnede in to dryenesse; and the watir was departid.
22 Entonces los hijos de Israel entraron en medio del mar a pie enjuto, formando para ellos las aguas una muralla a su derecha y a su izquierda.
And the sones of Israel entriden by the myddis of the drye see; for the watir was as a wal at the riyt side and left side of hem.
23 Los egipcios los persiguieron y entraron en pos de ellos, todos los caballos del Faraón, sus carros y su caballería, hasta el medio del mar.
And Egipcians pursueden, and entriden aftir hem, al the ridyng of Farao, hise charis, and knyytis, bi the myddis of the see.
24 Llegada la vigilia de la mañana, echó Yahvé una mirada desde la columna de fuego y de humo hacia el ejército de los egipcios, y puso en consternación al ejército egipcio.
And the wakyng of the morewtid cam thanne, and lo! the Lord bihelde on the castels of Egipcians, bi a piler of fier, and of cloude, and killide the oost of hem; and he destriede the wheelis of charis,
25 Quitó las ruedas de sus carros, de suerte que no podían avanzar sino con gran dificultad. Dijeron por tanto los egipcios: “Huyamos delante de Israel, porque Yahvé pelea por ellos contra los egipcios.”
and tho weren borun in to the depthe. Therfor Egipcians seiden, Fle we Israel; for the Lord fiytith for hem ayenus vs.
26 Entonces dijo Yahvé a Moisés: “Extiende tu mano sobre el mar, para que las aguas vuelvan sobre los egipcios, sobre sus carros y sobre su caballería.”
And the Lord seide to Moises, Holde forth thin hond on the see, that the watris turne ayen to Egipcians, on the charis, and knyytis of hem.
27 Extendió Moisés su mano sobre el mar, y al rayar el alba el mar volvió a su sitio; de modo que los egipcios queriendo huir se vieron frente a las (aguas). Así arrojó Yahvé a los egipcios en medio del mar.
And whanne Moises hadde hold forth the hoond ayens the see, it turnede ayen first in the morewtid to the formere place; and whanne Egipcians fledden, the watris camen ayen, and the Lord wlappide hem in the myddis of the floodis.
28 Pues reuniéndose las aguas cubrieron los carros y la gente de a caballo y todo el ejército del Faraón, que había entrado en el mar para seguirlos, y no escapó ni siquiera uno de ellos.
And the watris turneden ayen, and hiliden the charis, and knyytis of al the oost of Farao, which sueden, and entriden in to the see; sotheli not oon of hem was alyue.
29 Mas los hijos de Israel pasaron a pie enjuto por en medio del mar, teniendo las aguas por muralla a su derecha y a su izquierda.
Forsothe the sones of Israel yeden thorouy the myddis of the drye see, and the watris weren to hem as for a wal, on the riyt side and left side.
30 Aquel día salvó Yahvé a Israel de mano de los egipcios; y vio Israel a los egipcios muertos a orillas del mar.
And in that dai the Lord delyuerede Israel fro the hond of Egipcians, and thei sien Egipcians deed on the brynke of the see,
31 Y cuando Israel vio la mano poderosa que Yahvé había extendido contra los egipcios, temió el pueblo a Yahvé, y creyeron en Yahvé y en Moisés, su siervo.
and thei seiyen the greet hond which the Lord hadde vsid ayens hem; and the puple dredde the Lord, and thei bileueden to the Lord, and to Moises his seruaunt.
