2 Crónicas 27

1 Joatán tenía veinte y cinco años cuando empezó a reinar, y reinó diez y seis años en Jerusalén. Su madre se llamaba Jerusá, hija de Sadoc.

Joathan was of fyue and twenti yeer, whanne he bigan to regne, and he regnede sixtene yeer in Jerusalem; the name of his modir was Jerusa, the douyter of Sadoch.

2 Hizo lo que era recto a los ojos de Yahvé, imitando en todo el proceder de su padre Ocías, salvo que no penetró en el Templo de Yahvé. El pueblo, sin embargo, seguía haciendo el mal.

He dide that, that was riytful bifor the Lord, bi alle thingis whiche Ozie, his fadir, hadde do; outakun that he entride not in to the temple of the Lord, and the puple trespasside yit.

3 Joatán construyó la puerta superior de la Casa de Yahvé, e hizo muchas construcciones sobre los muros del Ofel.

He bildide the hiy yate of the hous of the Lord, and he bildide manye thingis in the wal of Ophel;

4 Consfruyó también ciudades en la montaña de Judá, y en los bosques edificó castillos y torres.

also he bildide citees in the hillis of Juda, and he bildide castels and touris in forestis.

5 Hizo guerra contra el rey de los hijos de Ammón, a los cuales venció. Los hijos de Ammón le dieron aquel año cien talentos de plata, diez mil coros de trigo y diez mil de cebada. Los ammonitas le trajeron lo mismo el año segundo y el tercero.

He fauyt ayens the kyng of the sones of Amon, and ouercam hym; and the sones of Amon yauen to hym in that tyme an hundrid talentis of siluer, and ten thousynde choris of barli, and so many of wheete; the sones of Amon yauen these thingis to hym in the secounde and in the thridde yeer.

6 Así Joatán llegó a ser poderoso, porque caminaba delante de Yahvé, su Dios.

And Joathan was maad strong, for he hadde dressid hise weies bifor `his Lord God.

7 Los demás hechos de Joatán, y todas sus guerras y sus obras, he aquí que esto está escrito en el libro de los reyes de Israel y de Judá.

Forsothe the residue of wordis of Joathan, and alle hise batels, and werkis, ben writun in the book of kyngis of Israel and of Juda.

8 Tenía veinte y cinco años cuando empezó a reinar, y reinó diez y seis años en Jerusalén.

He was of fyue and twenti yeer, whanne he bigan to regne, and he regnede sixtene yeer in Jerusalem.

9 Joatán se durmió con sus padres, y le sepultaron en la ciudad de David. En su lugar reinó Acaz, su hijo.

And Joathan slepte with hise fadris, and thei birieden hym in the citee of Dauid; and Achaz, his sone, regnede for him.
