2 Crónicas 11

1 Llegado a Jerusalén reunió Roboam la casa de Judá y la de Benjamín, ciento ochenta mil hombres, tropas escogidas, para atacar a Israel y devolver el reino a Roboam.

Forsothe Roboam cam in to Jerusalem, and clepide togidere al the hows of Juda and of Beniamyn, `til to nyne scoore thousynde of chosen men and werriouris, for to fiyte ayens Israel, and for to turne his rewme to hym.

2 Entonces llegó la palabra de Yahvé a Semeías, varón de Dios, en estos términos:

And the word of the Lord was maad to Semeye, the man of God,

3 Habla a Roboam, hijo de Salomón, rey de Judá, y a todo Israel que está en Judá y Benjamín, diciendo:

and seide, Speke thou to Roboam, the sone of Salomon, kyng of Juda, and to al Israel, which is in Juda and Beniamyn; The Lord seith these thingis,

4 Así dice Yahvé: “No subáis a luchar con vuestros hermanos; vuélvase cada cual a su casa; pues por voluntad mía ha sido hecho esto.” Y ellos, al oír las palabras de Yahvé, desistieron de marchar contra Jeroboam.

Ye schulen not stie, nethir ye schulen fiyte ayens youre britheren; ech man turne ayen in to his hows, for this thing is doon bi my wille. And whanne thei hadden herd the word of the Lord, thei turneden ayen, and yeden not ayens kyng Jeroboam.

5 Roboam habitó en Jerusalén, y edificó ciudades fortificadas en Judá.

Forsothe Roboam dwellide in Jerusalem, and he bildide wallid citees in Juda;

6 Fortificó a Betlehem, Etam, Tecoa,

and bildide Bethleem, and Ethan, and Thecue, and Bethsur;

7 Betsur, Socó, Odullam,

and Sochot, and Odollam;

8 Gat, Maresá, Cif,

also and Jeth, and Maresa, and Ziph;

9 Adoraim, Laquís, Acecá,

but also Huram, and Lachis, and Azecha;

10 Zorá, Ayalón y Hebrón, ciudades fortificadas situadas en Judá y en Benjamín.

and Saraa, and Hailon, and Ebron, that weren in Juda and Beniamyn, ful strong citees.

11 Después de restaurar las fortalezas, puso en ellas comandantes, provisiones de víveres, de aceite y de vino,

And whanne he hadde closid tho with wallis, he settide `in tho citees princes, and bernes of metis, that is, of oile, and of wyn.

12 y en cada una de ellas escudos y lanzas; y las hizo sumamente fuertes. Con él estaban Judá y Benjamín.

But also in ech citee he made placis of armuris of scheeldis, and speris, and he made tho strong with most diligence; and he regnyde on Juda and Beniamyn.

13 Los sacerdotes y los levitas de todo Israel se vinieron a él desde todos sus territorios;

Sotheli the preestis and dekenes, that weren in al Israel, camen to hym fro alle her seetis,

14 pues los levitas abandonaron sus ejidos y sus posesiones y se fueron a Judá y a Jerusalén, porque Jeroboam y sus hijos les habían prohibido el ejercicio de las funciones sacerdotales en honor de Yahvé;

and forsoken her subarbis and possessiouns, and thei passiden to Juda and to Jerusalem; for Jeroboam and hise aftir comeris hadden cast hem a wey, that thei schulden not be set in preesthod of the Lord;

15 y además había establecido sacerdotes para los lugares altos, los sátiros y los becerros que había hecho.

which Jeroboam made to hym preestis of hiye places, and of feendis, and of caluys, which he hadde maad.

16 Los siguieron aquellos que de entre todas las tribus de Israel tenían puesto su corazón en buscar a Yahvé, el Dios de Israel. Vinieron, pues, a Jerusalén, para ofrecer sacrificios a Yahvé, el Dios de sus padres,

But also of alle the linagis of Israel, whiche euer yauen her herte to seke the Lord God of Israel, thei camen to Jerusalem for to offre her sacrifices bifor the Lord God of her fadris.

17 y así fortalecieron el reino de Judá y consolidaron (el reino) de Roboam, hijo de Salomón, por tres años: pues tres años siguieron el camino de David y de Salomón.

And thei strengthiden the rewme of Juda, and strengthiden Roboam, the sone of Salomon, bi thre yeer; for thei yeden in the weies of Dauid, and of Salomon, oneli bi thre yeer.

18 Roboam tomó por mujer a Mahalat, hija de Jerimot, hijo de David y de Abihail, hija de Eliab, hijo de Isaí.

Forsothe Roboam weddide a wijf Malaoth, the douytir of Jerymuth, sone of Dauid, and Abiail, the douytir of Heliab, sone of Ysaye;

19 Esta le dio los hijos Jeús, Semarías y Záham.

and sche childide to hym sones, Yeus, and Somorie, and Zerei.

20 Después tomó a Maacá, hija de Absalón, la cual le dio a luz a Abías, Atai, Sisa y Selomit.

Also after this wijf he took Maacha, the douyter of Abissalon, and sche childide to hym Abia, and Thai, and Ziza, and Salomyth.

21 Roboam amaba a Maacá, hija de Absalón, más que a todas sus mujeres y concubinas; pues tuvo diez y ocho mujeres y sesenta concubinas; y engendró veinte y ocho hijos y sesenta hijas.

Forsothe Roboam louyde Maacha, the douytir of Abissalon, aboue alle hise wyues and secundarie wyues. Forsothe he hadde weddid eiytene wyues, sotheli sixti secundarie wyues; and he gendride eiyte and twenti sones, and sixti douytris.

22 Roboam puso a Abías, hijo de Maacá, por cabeza y príncipe de sus hermanos, porque quería hacerle rey.

Sotheli he ordeynede Abia, the sone of Maacha, in the heed, duyk ouer alle hise britheren; for he thouyte to make Abia kyng,

23 Para este fin repartió hábilmente a todos sus (demás) hijos por toda la tierra de Judá y de Benjamín, en todas las ciudades fortificadas, dándoles alimentos en abundancia y procurándoles muchas mujeres.

for he was wisere and myytiere ouer alle hise sones, and in alle the coostis of Juda and of Beniamyn, and in alle wallid citees; and he yaf to hem ful many metis, and he had many wyues.
