1 Crónicas 18
1 Después de esto derrotó David a los filisteos y los sojuzgó, arrebatando a Gat y sus aldeas de las manos de los filisteos.
Forsothe it was doon aftir these thingis, that Dauid smoot Filisteis, and made hem lowe, and took awey Geth and vilagis therof fro the hond of Filisteis;
2 Derrotó también a Moab; y los moabitas se sometieron a David y le pagaron tributo.
and that he smoot Moab; and Moabitis weren maad seruauntis of Dauid, and brouyten yiftis to hym.
3 Asimismo venció David a Hadaréser, rey de Sobá, en Hamat, cuando este iba a establecer su dominio sobre el río Éufrates.
In that tyme Dauid smoot also Adadezer, kyng of Soba, of the cuntrey of Emath, whanne he yede for to alarge his empire til to the flood Eufrates.
4 David le quitó mil carros, siete mil soldados de a caballo y veinte mil hombres de a pie; y desjarretó David todos los tiros de carro, dejando de ellos solamente para cien carros.
Therfor Dauid took a thousynde foure horsid cartis of his, and seuene thousynde of horsmen, and twenti thousynde of foot men; and he hoxide alle the horsis of charis, outakun an hundrid foure horsid cartis, whiche he kepte to hym silf.
5 Cuando los sirios de Damasco vinieron en socorro de Hadaréser, rey de Sobá, derrotó David a veinte y dos mil sirios.
Forsothe also Sirus of Damask cam aboue, to yyue help to Adadezer, kyng of Soba, but Dauid smoot also of hise two and twenti thousynde of men;
6 David puso (guarniciones) en la Siria de Damasco, y los sirios se sometieron a David y le pagaron tributo. Yahvé asistía a David dondequiera que iba.
and he settide kniytis in Damask, that Sirie also schulde serue hym, and brynge yiftis. And the Lord helpide hym in alle thingis to whiche he yede.
7 David tomó, además, los escudos de oro con que los siervos de Hadaréser se protegían y los llevó a Jerusalén.
And Dauid took goldun arowe caasis, whiche the seruauntis of Adadezer hadden, and he brouyte tho in to Jerusalem;
8 En Tibat y Cun, ciudades de Hadaréser, se apoderó David de una gran cantidad de bronce, con el cual hizo Salomón el mar de bronce, las columnas y los utensilios de bronce.
also and of Thebath and of Chum, the citees of Adadezer, he took ful myche of bras, wherof Salomon made the brasun see, `that is, waischynge vessel, and pileris, and brasun vessels.
9 Cuando Tou, rey de Hamat, supo que David había derrotado a todo el ejército de Hadaréser, rey de Sobá,
And whanne Thou, kyng of Emath, hadde herd this thing, `that is, that Dauid hadde smyte al the oost of Adadezer, kyng of Soba,
10 envió a Hadoram, su hijo, al rey David para saludarle y para bendecirle por haber atacado a Hadaréser, pues Tou era enemigo de Hadaréser; y (trajo Hadoram) toda clase de objetos de oro, de plata y de bronce,
he sente Aduram, his sone, to Dauid the kyng, for to axe of hym pees, and for to thanke hym, for he hadde ouercome and hadde smyte Adadezer; for whi king Adadezer was aduersarie of Thou.
11 que el rey David consagró a Yahvé, además de la plata y el oro que había tomado a todas las naciones: a Edom, a Moab, a los hijos de Ammón, a los filisteos y a los amalecitas.
But also kyng Dauid halewide to the Lord alle the vessels of gold, and of siluer, and of bras; and the siluer, and the gold, which the kyng hadde take of alle folkis, as wel of Idumee and Moab, and of the sones of Amon, as of Filisteis and Amalech.
12 Abisai, hijo de Sarvia, derrotó en el Valle de la Sal diez y ocho mil idumeos,
Forsothe Abisai, the sone of Saruye, smoot Edom in the valei of salt pittis, `ten and eiyte thousynde.
13 y puso guarniciones en Edom; y todos los idumeos quedaron sometidos a David. Así asistió Yahvé a David en todas sus empresas.
And he settide strong hold in Edom, that Ydumei schulde serue Dauid. And the Lord sauide Dauid in alle thingis, to whiche he yede.
14 David reinó sobre todo Israel, y hacía juicio y justicia a todo el pueblo.
Therfor Dauid regnede on al Israel, and dide doom and riytwisnesse to al his puple.
15 Joab, hijo de Sarvia, estaba al frente del ejército; Josafat, hijo de Ahilud, era cronista;
Forsothe Joab, the sone of Saruye, was `on the oost; and Josaphat, the sone of Ayluth, was chaunceler;
16 Sadoc, hijo de Ahitob, y Abimelec, hijo de Abiatar, eran sacerdotes; Savsa era secretario;
forsothe Sadoch, the sone of Achitob, and Achymalech, the sone of Abyathar, weren preestis; and Susa was scribe;
17 Banaías, hijo de Joiadá, mandaba a los cereteos y feleteos; y los hijos de David eran los primeros junto al rey.
and Banaye, the sone of Joiada, was on the legiouns Cerethi and Phelethi; sotheli the sones of Dauid weren the firste at the hond of the kyng.
