1 Si Ciise u tuso inay waajib ku tahay iyaga inay mar walba tukadaan oo aanay ka qalbi jabin, wuxuu iyaga kula hadlay masaal isagoo leh,
Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and never despair.
2 Waxaa magaalo joogay xaakin aan Ilaah ka baqi jirin, ninnana aan danayn jirin.
“There was,” he said, “in a certain town a judge, who had no fear of God nor regard for people.
3 Waxaana magaaladaas joogtay carmal ninkeedii ka dhintay, marar badanna way u timid, iyadoo ku leh, Cadowgayga iga xaq sii.
In the same town there was a widow who went to him again and again, and said ‘Grant me justice against my opponent.’
4 Intii wakhti ah ayuu yeeli waayay, laakiin dabadeed wuxuu isku yidhi, In kastoo aanan Ilaah ka baqin, oo aanan ninna danayn,
For a time the judge refused, but afterward he said to himself ‘Although I am without fear of God or regard for people,
5 weliba dhibta ay carmalkan i dhibayso aawadeed, waan xaq siin doonaa, si aanay marar badan iigu soo noqnoqon oo ii daalin.
yet, as this widow is so troublesome, I will grant her justice, to stop her from plaguing me with her endless visits.’”
6 Markaasaa Rabbigu yidhi, Maqla wixii xaakinkii xaqa darnaa yidhi.
Then the Master added, “Listen to what this iniquitous judge says!
7 Ilaahna miyaanu xaq siin doonin kuwuu doortay oo habeen iyo maalinba u qayliya; oo miyaanu u dulqaadan doonin?
And God – won’t he see that his own people, who cry to him night and day, have justice done them – though he holds his hand?
8 Waxaan idinku leeyahay, Dhaqsoba wuu u xaq siin doonaa; hase ahaatee goortuu Wiilka Aadanahu yimaado, markaas rumaysad ma ka heli doonaa dhulka?
He will, I tell you, give them justice soon enough! Yet, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?”
9 Masaalkan ayuu kula hadlay qaar ismoodayay inay xaq yihiin oo kuwa kale quudhsaday.
Another time, speaking to people who were satisfied that they were religious, and who regarded everyone else with scorn, Jesus told this parable –
10 Laba nin ayaa tegey inay macbudka ku tukadaan; mid Farrisi buu ahaa, kan kalena cashuurqaade.
“Two men went up into the Temple Courts to pray. One was a Pharisee and the other a tax-gatherer.
11 Farrisigii intuu istaagay ayuu waxyaalahan isugu tukaday, Ilaahow, waxaan kuugu mahadnaqayaa inaanan ahayn sida nimanka kale oo wax dulma, iyo kuwa xaqa daran, iyo dhillayaasha, ama xataa sida cashuurqaadahan.
The Pharisee stood forward and began praying to himself in this way – ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other men – thieves, rogues, adulterers – or even like this tax-gatherer.
12 Toddobaadkiiba laba kol ayaan soomaa, waxaan haysta oo dhanna toban meelood ayaan meel ka bixiyaa.
I fast twice a week, and give a tenth of everything I get to God.’
13 Laakiin cashuurqaadihii meel fog ayuu ka istaagay, ma uuna doonaynin inuu indhihiisa cirka u qaado, laakiin laabtiisa ayuu garaacay isagoo leh, Ilaahow, ii naxariiso anigoo dembi leh.
Meanwhile the tax-gatherer stood at a distance, not venturing even to raise his eyes to heaven, but he kept striking his breast and saying ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’
14 Waxaan idinku leeyahay, Kan iyo kii kale, kan baa gurigiisa tegey isagoo la caddeeyey inuu xaq yahay; waayo, mid kasta oo isa sarraysiiya waa la hoosaysiin doonaa, oo kii is-hoosaysiiyana waa la sarraysiin doonaa.
This man, I tell you, went home pardoned, rather than the other. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, while everyone who humbles himself will be exalted.”
15 Ilmo yaryar ayay u keeneen inuu taabto, laakiin goortii xertii aragtay, ayay canaanteen.
Some of the people were bringing even their babies to Jesus, for him to touch them; but, when the disciples saw it, they began to find fault with those who had brought them.
16 Laakiin Ciise ayaa u yeedhay oo ku yidhi, Ilmaha yaryar daaya, ha ii yimaadeene, hana diidina, waayo, kuwan oo kale ayaa ka mid ah boqortooyada Ilaah.
Jesus, however, called the little children to him. “Let the little children come to me,” he said, “and do not hinder them, for it is to the childlike that the kingdom of God belongs.
17 Runtii waxaan idinku leeyahay, Ku alla kii aan boqortooyada Ilaah u aqbalin sida ilmo yar oo kale, meeshaas ma uu geli doono.
I tell you, unless a man receives the kingdom of God like a child, he will not enter it at all.”
18 Taliye ayaa weyddiiyey isagoo leh, Macallin wanaagsanow, maxaan sameeyaa inaan nolosha weligeed ah dhaxlo? (aiōnios g166)
And one of the leaders asked Jesus this question – “Good teacher, what must I do if I am to gain eternal life?” (aiōnios g166)
19 Markaasaa Ciise ku yidhi, Maxaad iigu yeedhaysaa wanaagsanow? Mid wanaagsan ma jiro mid maahee, kaasuna waa Ilaah.
“Why do you call me good?” answered Jesus. “No one is good but God.
20 Qaynuunnada waad taqaan, Waa inaanad sinaysan, Waa inaanad qudh gooyn, Waa inaanad wax xadin, Waa inaanad marag been ah furin, Aabbahaa iyo hooyadaana maamuus.
You know the commandments – Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not say what is false about others, Honor your father and your mother.”
21 Markaasuu yidhi, Kuwaas oo dhan tan iyo yaraantaydii waan dhawray.
“I have observed all these,” he replied, “from childhood.”
22 Ciise goortuu waxaas maqlay ayuu ku yidhi, Weli wax keliya ayaa kuu dhiman. Waxaad haysatid oo dhan iibi, oo masaakiinta u qaybi, oo waxaad jannada ku lahaan doontaa maal, ee kaalay oo i soo raac.
Hearing this, Jesus said to him, “There is one thing still lacking in you; sell everything that you have, and distribute to the poor, and you will have wealth in heaven; then come and follow me.”
23 Laakiin goortuu waxaas maqlay ayuu aad uga caloolxumaaday, waayo, aad buu hodan u ahaa.
But the man became greatly distressed on hearing this, for he was extremely rich.
24 Ciise goortuu arkay, wuxuu yidhi, Kuwa hodanka ah waa ku adag tahay inay boqortooyada Ilaah galaan,
Seeing this, Jesus said to his disciples, “How hard it is for the wealthy to enter the kingdom of God!
25 waayo, nin hodan ah inuu boqortooyada Ilaah galo waxaa ka hawl yar in awr irbad daloolkeeda ka duso.
It is easier, indeed, for a camel to get through a needle’s eye than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God!”
26 Markaasaa kuwa maqlay waxay ku yidhaahdeen, Haddaba yaa badbaadi kara?
“Then who can be saved?” asked those who heard this.
27 Wuxuuse ku yidhi, Waxa aan dadka u suurtoobin, Ilaah waa u suurtoobaan.
But Jesus said, “What is impossible with people is possible with God.”
28 Butros ayaa ku yidhi, Bal eeg, waxayagii ayaannu ka tagnay, waana ku raacnay.
“But we,” said Peter, “we left what belonged to us and followed you.”
29 Wuxuuna ku yidhi, Runtii waxaan idinku leeyahay. Ma jiro nin boqortooyada Ilaah aawadeed uga tegey guri, ama afo, ama walaalo, ama waalid, ama carruur,
“I tell you,” he answered, “that there is no one who has left house, or wife, or brothers, or parents, or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God,
30 oo aan haatan helayn labanlaab badan, wakhtiga imanayana nolosha weligeed ah. (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
who will not receive many times as much in the present, and in the age that is coming eternal life.” (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
31 Laba-iyo-tobankii ayuu watay oo ku yidhi, Waxaynu ku soconnaa Yeruusaalem, oo wax walba oo nebiyadu qoreen ayaa Wiilka Aadanaha u noqon doona.
Gathering the Twelve around him, Jesus said to them, “Listen! We are going up to Jerusalem; and there everything that is written in the prophets will be done to the Son of Man.
32 Waayo, isaga waxaa loo dhiibi doonaa dadka aan Yuhuudda ahayn, waana lagu kajami doonaa, oo la caayi doonaa, oo lagu tufi doonaa,
For he will be given up to the Gentiles, mocked, insulted and spat on;
33 wayna karbaashi doonaan oo dili doonaan, maalinta saddexaadna wuu soo sara kici doonaa.
they will scourge him, and then put him to death; and on the third day he will rise again.”
34 Laakiin waxyaalahaas waxba kama ay garan, hadalkaasna waa ka qarsoonaa, mana ay garan wixii la yidhi.
The apostles did not comprehend any of this. His meaning was unintelligible to them and they did not understand what he was saying.
35 Waxaa noqotay markuu Yerixoo ku soo dhowaaday, in nin indha la' jidka ag fadhiyey oo dawarsanayay,
As Jesus was getting near Jericho, a blind man was sitting by the roadside, begging.
36 oo goortuu maqlay dadka badan oo ag maraya ayuu weyddiiyey waxaas waxay ahaayeen.
Hearing a crowd going by, the man asked what was the matter;
37 Waxay u sheegeen in Ciisihii Reer Naasared ag marayo.
and, when people told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing,
38 Markaasuu qayliyey isagoo leh, Ciise, ina Daa'uudow, ii naxariiso.
he shouted out, “Jesus, Son of David, take pity on me!”
39 Kuwa hor marayay ayaa canaantay si uu u aamuso, laakiin si ka badan ayuu ugu qayliyey, Ina Daa'uudow, ii naxariiso.
Those who were in front kept telling him to be quiet, but he continued to call out the louder, “Son of David, take pity on me!”
40 Markaasaa Ciise joogsaday oo wuxuu ku amray in loo keeno, oo goortuu u soo dhowaaday ayuu weyddiiyey, oo ku yidhi,
Then Jesus stopped and ordered the man to be brought to him. And, when he had come close up to him, Jesus asked him,
41 Maxaad doonaysaa inaan kuu sameeyo? Wuxuu ku yidhi, Sayidow, inaan wax arko.
“What do you want me to do for you?” “Master,” he said, “I want to recover my sight.”
42 Markaasaa Ciise ku yidhi, Wax arag; rumaysadkaaga ayaa ku bogsiiyey.
And Jesus said, “Recover your sight, your faith has delivered you.”
43 Kolkiiba ayuu wax arkay, wuuna raacay oo Ilaah ammaanay. Dadkii oo dhanna goortay arkeen, ayay Ilaah ammaaneen.
Instantly he recovered his sight, and began to follow Jesus, praising God. And all the people, on seeing it, gave glory to God.
