Luka 17
1 Yesu walambila beshikwiya bakendi eti, “Bintu bikute kulengesha muntu kwambeti aipishe nibikaboneke, nsombi mapensho nakabe pali bantu beshikubileta.
And He said to the disciples, “It is impossible for the stumbling blocks not to come, but woe [to him] through whom they come;
2 Nomba caina kwambeti muntu uyo asungwe ne libwe linene lya mwampelo munshingo ne kumuwala mu lwenje, kupita kulengesha umo wa bana bang'ana aba kwipisha.”
it is more profitable to him if a weighty millstone is put around his neck, and he has been cast into the sea, than that he may cause one of these little ones to stumble.
3 Neco kamucenjelani! Na mukwenu lakwipishili, umukalalile, na lasenge kulekelelwa umulekelele.
Take heed to yourselves, and if your brother may sin in regard to you, rebuke him, and if he may change his mind, forgive him,
4 Na lakwipishili mankanda asanu ne abili pabusuba bumo, kayi mankanda onse ayo kesa kuli njobe nekwambeti, “Ndepishi,” Welela kumulekelela.
and if seven times in the day he may sin against you, and seven times in the day may return to you, saying, I change my mind, you will forgive him.”
5 Lino batumwa balambila Mwami eti, “Kamukonempesha lushomo lwetu.”
And the apostles said to the LORD, “Add to us faith”;
6 Mwami Yesu walabakumbuleti, “Nemwabanga ne lushomo lulyeti luseke lwa masitadi, ngamucikonsha kwambila citondo eti, ‘Shukuka apo ulishimpike mumulonga, nacoyo ngacimunyumfwila.’”
and the LORD said, “If you had faith as a grain of mustard, you would have said to this sycamine, Be uprooted, and be planted in the sea, and it would have obeyed you.
7 “Nomba naumbi pakati penu kakute musebenshi shikulima mulibala nambi kwembela mbelele. Nomba sena akomboka ngomwambila eti, ‘Fwambana kwesa ulye cakulya’
But who is he of you—having a servant plowing or feeding—who, to him having come in out of the field, will say, Having come, recline at once?
8 Sobwe nkela kwinseco! Nsombi ngomwambileti, ‘Kontelekela cakulya, na upwishe ufwale cena nekundetela byakulya, lino ndapwisha nenjobe mpoti ulye ne kunwa.’
But will not [rather] say to him, Prepare what I may dine, and having girded yourself around, minister to me, until I eat and drink, and after these things you will eat and drink?
9 Lino sena ngomulumba musebenshi pakwinga lenshi ncowamwambila?
Does he have favor to that servant because he did the things directed? I think not.
10 Copeleco nenjamwe, na mulenshi ncomwalambilwa mwelela kwambeti, ‘To basebenshi babula kwelela kutambula kantu. Pakwinga tulenshi mulimo wetu!’”
So also you, when you may have done all the things directed you, say, We are unprofitable servants, because that which we owed to do we have done.”
11 Yesu mpwalikuya ku Yelusalemu, walapita panyinsa ya Samaliya ne Galileya.
And it came to pass, in His going on to Jerusalem, that He passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee,
12 Mpwalashika mumunshi naumbi, beshimankuntu bali likumi balamukumanya ne kwimana pataliko.
and He entering into a certain village, there ten leprous men met Him, who stood far off,
13 Lino balobelesheti, “Amwe Yesu, Nkambo kamutunyumfwilako nkumbo!”
and they lifted up the voice, saying, “Jesus, Master, deal kindly with us”;
14 Yesu mpwalababona walabambileti, “Kamuyani ku beshimilumbo baye bamuboneti mulaba cena.” Lino mpobalikuya kwenda munshila, balaba cena.
and having seen [them], He said to them, “Having gone on, show yourselves to the priests”; and it came to pass, in their going, they were cleansed,
15 Lino umo pakati pabo mpwalaboneti laba cena, walabwelela kuli Yesu nkaya akulumbaisha Lesa ne liswi lyapelu.
and one of them having seen that he was healed turned back, glorifying God with a loud voice,
16 Lino mpwalashika kuli Yesu walafukama kuntangu kwakendi ne kumulumba. Shimankuntu uyu walikuba mu Samaliya.
and he fell on [his] face at His feet, giving thanks to Him, and he was a Samaritan.
17 Lino Yesu walambeti, “Sena bashilikwa nkabanga likumi? Nomba bambi basanu ne bana balikupe?
And Jesus answering said, “Were not the ten cleansed, and the nine—where?
18 Nomba nicani kulesowa muswamashi enka kwisa kulumbaisha Lesa?
There were none found who turned back to give glory to God, except this foreigner”;
19 Kufumapo, Yesu walambila shimankuntu uyo, pakwinga wanshoma nyamuka koya, Lushomo lwakobe lulakushiliki.”
and He said to him, “Having risen, be going on, your faith has saved you.”
20 Bafalisi bambi balepusha Yesu eti, “Bwami bwa Lesa nibukese lilyoni?” Yesu walabakumbuleti, “Bwami bwa Lesa, nteshi bukese mwakubonekela ne menso sobwe.
And having been questioned by the Pharisees when the Kingdom of God comes, He answered them and said, “The Kingdom of God does not come with observation;
21 Kuliya weshi akambeti, ‘Nibuno bulikuno!’ Nambi eti, ‘Nibusa kusa!’ Pakwinga Bwami bwa Lesa buli pakati penu.”
nor will they say, Behold, here; or, Behold, there; for behold, the Kingdom of God is within you.”
22 Lino walakumbula beshikwiya bakendi eti, “Nicikashike cindi mpoti mukayande kubona Mwana Muntu mubusuba bumo, nomba nteshi mukabubonepo sobwe.
And He said to His disciples, “Days will come when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man and you will not behold [it];
23 Nikukabe bantu beshi bakamwambileti, ‘Kamubona nte busa bulikusa, nambi eti, ubu bulipano, mutakayako nambi kubakonkela sobwe.’
and they will say to you, Behold, here; or, Behold, there; you may not go away, nor follow;
24 Pakwinga mbuli kubyasha ncokukute kucilingana mwilu nekubonekela kumbasu shonse, enceti kukabe pabusuba bwakwisa Mwana Muntu.
for as the lightning is flashing out of one [part] under the sky [and] shines to the other [part] under the sky, so will the Son of Man also be in His day;
25 Nsombi welela kutanguna kupenshewa, nekukanwa ne bantu ba cino cindi.
and first it is necessary for Him to suffer many things, and to be rejected by this generation.
26 “Mbuli ncocalikuba mumasuba a Nowa encoti cikabe mumasuba a Mwana Muntu.
And as it came to pass in the days of Noah, so will it also be in the days of the Son of Man;
27 Mucindico bantu bali kabalya, ne kunwa, kweba kayi ne kwebwa kushikila busuba Nowa mbwalengila mubwato. Lino muyoba unene walesa nekubononga bonse.
they were eating, they were drinking, they were marrying, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the Ark, and the flood came, and destroyed all;
28 Nicikabeti ncocalikuba mucindi ca Loti, bantu bali kabalya ne kunwa, kula ne kulisha, kubyala ne kwibaka manda.
in like manner also, as it came to pass in the days of Lot; they were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they were selling, they were planting, they were building;
29 Nsombi busuba Loti mpwalafuma mu Sodomu, Lesa walalasha mulilo wa salufa walalaka kwilu nekubononga bonse.
and on the day Lot went forth from Sodom, He rained fire and brimstone from the sky, and destroyed all.
30 Nicikabe copeleco pabusuba Mwana Muntu mpoti akese.
According to these things it will be, in the day the Son of Man is revealed;
31 “Busuba ubo, uyo eti akabenga paciluli ca ng'anda atakaseluketi amante bintu byakendi mung'anda, neye uyo eti akabenga mulibala atakabwelela kung'anda.
in that day, he who will be on the housetop, and his vessels in the house, do not let him come down to take them away; and he in the field, in like manner, do not let him turn backward;
32 Kamwanukani muka Loti!
remember the wife of Lot.
33 Uyo layandanga kupulusha buyumi bwakendi, nakabutaye. Nsombi uyo latayanga buyumi bwakendi pacebo cakame, nakabupulushe.
Whoever may seek to save his life, will lose it; and whoever may lose it, will preserve it.
34 Ndamwambilinga pabusuba ubo mashiku, bantu babili nibakabenga bona pabulili bumo, umo nakamantwe, umbi nakashale.
I say to you, in that night there will be two [men] on one bed: one will be taken, and the other will be left;
35 Batukashi babili nibakapelenga pantu pamo umo nakamantwe, umbi nakashale.
two [women] will be grinding at the same place together: one will be taken, and the other will be left;
36 Bantu babili nibakabenga mulibala, nsombi umo nakamantwe, umbi nakashale.”
[[two [men] will be in the field: one will be taken, and the other left.”]]
37 Beshikwiya balamwipusheti, “Mwami, nikupeyo nkoti bikenshikile ibi?” Yesu walakumbuleti, “Uko kulafwili cintu nawoyo makubi akute kubungana kopeloko.”
And they answering say to Him, “Where, Lord?” And He said to them, “Where the body [is], there the eagles will be gathered together.”
