Job 19
1 Potem je Job odgovoril in rekel:
Then Job answered and said,
2 »Doklej boste mučili mojo dušo in me z besedami lomili na koščke?
How long will ye vex my soul, and destroy me with words? only know that the Lord has dealt with me thus.
3 Teh desetkrat ste me grajali. Ni vas sram, da se mi delate tujce.
Ye speak against me; ye do not feel for me, but bear hard upon me.
4 Če je res to, da sem zašel, moja zmota ostaja z menoj.
Yea verily, I have erred in truth, (but the error abides with myself) in having spoken words which it was not right [to speak]; and my words err, and are unreasonable.
5 Če se boste zares povzdigovali zoper mene in zoper mene obsojali moj očitek,
But alas! for ye magnify yourselves against me, and insult me with reproach.
6 vedite torej, da me je Bog zrušil in me obdal s svojo mrežo.
Know then that it is the Lord that has troubled [me], and has raised his bulwark against me.
7 Glej, kričim o krivici, toda nisem slišan; na glas vpijem, toda tam ni sodbe.
Behold, I laugh at reproach; I will not speak: [or] I will cry out, but [there is] nowhere judgment.
8 Ogradil je mojo stezo, da ne morem mimo in postavil je temo na moje poti.
I am fenced round about, and can by no means escape: he has set darkness before my face.
9 Oropal me je moje slave in odvzel krono iz moje glave.
And he has stripped me of my glory, and has taken the crown from my head.
10 Uničil me je na vsaki strani in odšel sem. Moje upanje je odstranil kakor drevo.
He has torn me around about, and I am gone: and he has cut off my hope like a tree.
11 Prav tako je zoper mene vžgal svoj bes in me šteje kakor enega izmed svojih sovražnikov.
And he has dreadfully handled me in anger, and has counted me for an enemy.
12 Njegova krdela so prišla skupaj in dvignila njihovo pot zoper mene in se utaborila naokoli mojega šotora.
His troops also came upon me with one accord, liars in wait compassed my ways.
13 Moje brate je postavil daleč od mene in moji znanci so se resnično odtujili od mene.
My brethren have stood aloof from me; they have recognized strangers [rather] than me: and my friends have become pitiless.
14 Moja žlahta je odpovedala in moji zaupni prijatelji so me pozabili.
My nearest of kin have not acknowledged me, and they that knew my name, have forgotten me.
15 Tisti, ki prebivajo v moji hiši in moje služabnice me imajo za tujca. Neznanec sem v njihovih očeh.
[As for] my household, and my maid-servants, I was a stranger before them.
16 Poklical sem svojega služabnika, pa mi ni dal nobenega odgovora. Prosil sem ga s svojimi usti.
I called my servant, and he hearkened not; and my mouth intreated [him].
17 Moj dih je tuj moji ženi, čeprav sem prosil zaradi otrok svojega lastnega telesa.
And I besought my wife, and earnestly intreated the sons of my concubines.
18 Da, mladi otroci so me prezirali. Vzdignil sem se in oni so govorili zoper mene.
But they rejected me for ever; whenever I rise up, they speak against me.
19 Vsem svojim bližnjim prijateljem sem se gnusil. Tisti, ki sem jih imel rad, so se obrnili zoper mene.
They that saw me abhorred me: the very persons whom I had loved, rose up against me.
20 Moje kosti se lepijo na mojo kožo in na moje meso in pobegnil sem s kožo med svojimi zobmi.
My flesh is corrupt under my skin, and my bones are held in [my] teeth.
21 Imejte usmiljenje z menoj, imejte usmiljenje z menoj, oh vi, moji prijatelji, kajti Božja roka se me je dotaknila.
Pity me, pity me, O friends; for it is the hand of the Lord that has touched me.
22 Čemu me preganjate kakor Bog in niste nasičeni z mojim mesom?
Wherefore do ye persecute me as also the Lord [does], and are not satisfied with my flesh?
23 Oh da bi bile moje besede sedaj zapisane! Oh, da bi bile natisnjene v knjigi!
For oh that my words were written, and that they were recorded in a book forever,
24 Da bi bile vgravirane z železnim peresom in svincem v skalo na veke!
with an iron pen and lead, or graven in the rocks!
25 Kajti jaz vem, da moj odkupitelj živi in da bo na zadnji dan stal nad zemljo.
For I know that he is eternal who is about to deliver me,
26 Čeprav po moji koži črvi uničijo to telo, bom vendar v svojem mesu videl Boga,
[and] to raise up upon the earth my skin that endures these [sufferings]: for these things have been accomplished to me of the Lord;
27 ki ga bom videl zase in moje oči bodo gledale in ne drug, čeprav je moja notranjost použita znotraj mene.
which I am conscious of in myself, which mine eye has seen, and not another, but all have been fulfilled to me in [my] bosom.
28 Toda vi bi morali reči: ›Zakaj ga preganjamo, ‹ glede na to, da je korenina zadeve najdena v meni?
But if ye shall also say, What shall we say before him, and [so] find the root of the matter in him?
29 Bojte se meča, kajti bes prinaša kaznovanja meča, da boste lahko vedeli, da je sodba.«
Do ye also beware of deceit: for wrath will come upon transgressors; and then shall they know where their substance is.
