Ezekiel 39

"You, son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, 'Thus says YHWH: "Look, I am against you, Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:

Then I will strike your bow out of your left hand, and will make your arrows fall from your right hand.

You will fall on the mountains of Israel, you and all your troops and the people who are with you. I will give you to birds of prey of every king and to the beasts of the field to be devoured.

You will fall in the open field; for I have spoken," says YHWH.

And I will send a fire on Magog and on those who dwell securely in the coastlands; then they will know that I am YHWH.

"'And I will make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel, and I will not allow my holy name to be profaned anymore. And the nations shall know that I am YHWH, the Holy One in Israel.

8 Glej, prišel je in narejeno je, ‹ govori Gospod Bog; ›to je dan, o katerem sem govoril.

12 In sedem mesecev jih bo Izraelova hiša pokopavala, da bodo lahko očistili deželo.

17 In ti, človeški sin, ‹ tako govori Gospod Bog: ›Govori vsaki operjeni perjadi in vsaki živali polja: ›Zberite se in pridite; zberite se na vsaki strani k moji klavni daritvi, ki jo darujem za vas, torej veliki klavni daritvi na Izraelovih gorah, da boste lahko jedle meso in pile kri.

"And as for you, son of man, thus says YHWH: Speak to every kind of bird and to all the wild animals, 'Assemble and come, gather from all around to my sacrifice which I am going to sacrifice for you, a great sacrifice on the mountains of Israel, that you may eat flesh and drink blood.

18 Jedle boste meso mogočnih in pile kri zemeljskih princev, ovnov, jagnjet in koz, bikcev, vsi izmed njih bašánski pitanci.

You shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bulls, all of them fattened animals of Bashan.

19 In jedle boste tolščo, dokler ne boste nasičene in pile kri, dokler ne boste pijane od moje klavne daritve, ki sem jo žrtvoval za vas.

And you shall eat fat until you are full, and drink blood until you are drunk, at my sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you.

20 Tako boste nasičene pri moji mizi s konji in bojnimi vozovi in z mogočnimi možmi in z vsemi bojevniki, ‹ govori Gospod Bog.

And you shall be filled at my table with horses and charioteers, with warriors and with all the soldiers,' says YHWH.

21 ›In svojo slavo bom postavil med pogane in vsi pogani bodo videli mojo sodbo, ki sem jo izvršil in mojo roko, ki sem jo položil nanje.

"'And I will set my glory among the nations, and all the nations shall see my judgment when I have executed it and my hand when I lay it on them.

22 Tako bo Izraelova hiša spoznala, da jaz sem Gospod, njihov Bog, od tega dne naprej.

So the house of Israel shall know that I am YHWH their God, from that day on.

23 In pogani bodo vedeli, da je hiša Izraelova odšla v ujetništvo zaradi svojih krivičnosti, ker so kršili zoper mene, zato sem svoj obraz skril pred njimi in jih izročil v roko njihovih sovražnikov; tako so vsi padli pod mečem.

And the nations shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity, because they were unfaithful to me, so I hid my face from them, and I gave them into the hand of their adversaries, and all of them fell by the sword.

24 Glede na njihovo nečistost in glede na njihove prestopke sem jim storil in svoj obraz sem skril pred njimi.‹

I dealt with them according to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions, and I hid my face from them.'

25 Zato tako govori Gospod Bog: ›Sedaj bom ponovno privedel Jakobovo ujetništvo in usmiljenje bom imel nad celotno Izraelovo hišo in ljubosumen bom zaradi svojega svetega imena;

"Therefore thus says YHWH: 'Now will I restore the fortunes of Jacob and have mercy on the whole house of Israel, and I will be jealous for my holy name.

26 po tem, ko so nosili svojo sramoto in vse svoje prestopke, s katerimi so kršili zoper mene, ko so varno prebivali v svoji deželi in jih nihče ni strašil.

And they shall feel remorse for their disgrace and all the unfaithfulness they committed against me, when they dwell securely in their land with none to make them afraid.

When I have brought them back from the peoples and gathered them out of their enemies' lands, then I will be sanctified through them in the sight of the many nations.

Then they will know that I am YHWH their God, because I sent them into exile among the nations, and then gathered them into their own land; and I will leave none of them there any more.

29 Niti svojega obraza ne bom več skrival pred njimi, kajti svojega duha sem izlil na Izraelovo hišo, ‹ govori Gospod Bog.‹«

And I will no longer hide my face from them, when I pour out my Spirit on the house of Israel,' says YHWH."
