Книга Иова 10
1 Труждаюся душею моею, стеня испущу на мя глаголы моя, возглаголю горестию души моея одержимь
My soul is weary of my life; I will leave my complaint upon myself; I will speak in the bitterness of my soul.
2 и реку ко Господеви: не учи мя нечествовати, и почто ми сице судил еси?
I will say to God, Do not condemn me; show me why thou contendest with me.
3 Или добро Ти есть, аще вознеправдую, яко презрел еси дела руку Твоею, совету же нечестивых внял еси?
Is it good to thee that thou shouldest oppress, that thou shouldest despise the work of thy hands, and shine upon the counsel of the wicked?
4 Или якоже человек видит, видиши? Или якоже зрит человек, узриши?
Hast thou eyes of flesh? or seest thou as man seeth?
5 Или житие Твое человеческо есть? Или лета Твоя яко дние мужа?
Are thy days as the days of man? are thy years as man’s days,
6 Яко истязал еси беззаконие мое и грехи моя изследил еси.
That thou enquirest after my iniquity, and searchest after my sin?
7 Веси бо, яко не нечествовах: но кто есть изимаяй из руку Твоею?
Thou knowest that I am not wicked; and there is none that can deliver out of thy hand.
8 Руце Твои сотвористе мя и создасте мя: потом же преложив, поразил мя еси.
Thy hands have made me and fashioned me in all my parts; yet thou dost destroy me.
9 Помяни, яко брение мя создал еси, в землю же паки возвращаеши мя.
Remember, I beseech thee, that thou hast made me as the clay; and wilt thou bring me into dust again?
10 Или не якоже млеко измелзил мя еси, усырил же мя еси равно сыру?
Hast thou not poured me out as milk, and curdled me like cheese?
11 Кожею же и плотию мя облекл еси, костьми же и жилами сшил мя еси:
Thou hast clothed me with skin and flesh, and hast fenced me with bones and sinews.
12 живот же и милость положил еси у мене, посещение же Твое сохрани мой дух.
Thou hast granted me life and favour, and thy care hath preserved my spirit.
13 Сия имеяй в Тебе, вем, яко вся можеши, и невозможно Тебе ничтоже.
And these things hast thou hid in thy heart: I know that this is with thee.
14 Аще бо согрешу, храниши мя, от беззакония же не безвинна мя сотворил еси.
If I sin, then thou markest me, and thou wilt not acquit me from my iniquity.
15 Аще бо нечестив буду, люте мне, аще же буду праведен, не могу возникнути: исполнен бо есмь безчестия,
If I be wicked, woe to me; and if I be righteous, yet will I not lift up my head. I am full of confusion; therefore see thou my affliction;
16 ловимь бо есмь аки лев на убиение: паки же преложив, люте убиваеши мя.
For it increaseth. Thou huntest me as a fierce lion: and again thou showest thyself marvellous upon me.
17 Обновляяй на мя испытание мое, гнева бо великаго на мя употребил еси и навел еси на мя искушения.
Thou renewest thy witnesses against me, and increasest thy indignation upon me; changes and war are against me.
18 Почто убо мя из чрева извел еси, и не умрох, око же мене не видело бы,
Why then hast thou brought me forth from the womb? O that I had given up the ghost, and no eye had seen me!
19 и бых бы аки не был? Почто убо из чрева во гроб не снидох?
I should have been as though I had not been; I should have been carried from the womb to the grave.
20 Или не мало есть время жизни моея? Остави мене почити мало,
Are not my days few? cease then, and let me alone, that I may take comfort a little,
21 прежде даже отиду, отнюдуже не возвращуся, в землю темну и мрачну,
Before I go to the place from which I shall not return, even to the land of darkness and the shadow of death;
22 в землю тмы вечныя, идеже несть света, ниже видети живота человеческаго.
A land of darkness, as darkness itself; and of the shadow of death, without any order, and where the light is as darkness.
