1 Zvino zvakaitika kuti chaunga chakati chichimumbandidzira kuti vanzwe shoko raMwari, iye akamira parutivi rwegungwa reGenesareti;
Now while the multitude pressed on him and heard ha D'var Elohim · the Word of God·, he was standing by the lake of Gennesaret.
2 akaona zvikepe zviviri zvimire parutivi rwegungwa; asi varedzi vakange vabuda mazviri vachisuka mimbure.
He saw two boats standing by the lake, but the fishermen had gone out of them, and were washing their nets.
3 Akapinda mune chimwe chezvikepe chaiva chaSimoni, akakumbira kwaari kuti abve pavhu zvishoma. Ndokubva agara pasi, akadzidzisa zvaunga ari muchikepe.
He entered into one of the boats, which was Simeon [Hearing]’s, and asked him to put out a little from the land. He sat down and taught the multitudes from the boat.
4 Zvino wakati amira kutaura, akati kuna Simoni: Pinda kwakadzika udzikise mimbure yenyu kuti ubate.
When he had finished speaking, he said to Simeon [Hearing], “Put out into the deep, and let down your nets for a catch.”
5 Simoni akapindura, akati kwaari: Tenzi, tafondoka usiku hwese, tikasabata chinhu, asi zvamadaro, ndichadzikisa mumbure.
Simeon [Hearing] answered him, “Master, we worked all night, and took nothing; but at your word I will let down the net.”
6 Vakati vaita izvozvi, vakakomba dutu rehove zhinji; mumbure wavo ukange wobvaruka.
When they had done this, they caught a great multitude of fish, and their net was breaking.
7 Vakaninira vamwe vavo vakange vari mune chimwe chikepe, kuti vauye vazovabatsira; vakauya vakazadza zvikepe zviri zviviri, zvekuti zvakatanga kunyura.
They beckoned to their partners in the other boat, that they should come and help them. They came, and filled both boats, so that they began to sink.
8 Zvino Simoni Petro wakati achiona, akawira pasi pamabvi aJesu, achiti: Ibvai kwandiri, Ishe, nokuti ndiri munhu mutadzi.
But Simeon Peter [Hearing Rock], when he saw it, fell down at Yeshua [Salvation]'s knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, Lord.”
9 Nokuti kushamisika kwakange kwamubata, nevese vakange vanaye, nekubatwa kwehove dzavakange vabata;
For he was amazed, and all who were with him, at the catch of fish which they had caught;
10 saizvozvowo Jakobho naJohwani, vanakomana vaZebhedhi, vaiva vadyidzani naSimoni. Jesu ndokuti kuna Simoni: Usatya, kubva zvino ucharedza vanhu.
and so also were James [Surplanter] and John [Yah is gracious], sons of Zebedee [Bestowed by Yah], who were partners with Simeon [Hearing]. Yeshua [Salvation] said to Simeon [Hearing], “Don’t be afraid. From now on you will be catching people alive.”
11 Zvino, vakati vaisa zvikepe kunyika, vakasiya zvese vakamutevera.
When they had brought their boats to land, they left everything, and followed him.
12 Zvino zvakaitika, ari kune rimwe remaguta, tarira, murume azere maperembudzi; wakati achiona Jesu akawa nechiso, ndokumugombetedza, achiti: Ishe, kana muchida, munogona kundinatsa.
While he was in one of the cities, behold, there was a man full of tzara'at ·leprosy·. When he saw Yeshua [Salvation], he fell on his face, and begged him, saying, “Lord, if you want to, you can make me clean.”
13 Ndokubva atandavadza ruoko, akamubata, achiti: Ndinoda, chinatswa. Pakarepo maperembudzi akabva kwaari.
He stretched out his hand, and touched him, saying, “I want to. Be made clean.” Immediately the tzara'at ·leprosy· left him.
14 Iye akamuraira kuti asaudza munhu; akati: Asi enda unozviratidza kumupristi, ubaire pakunatswa kwako, Mozisi sezvaakaraira, chive chapupu kwavari.
He commanded him to tell no one. “Instead, as a testimony to the people, go straight to the priest and make an offer for your cleansing, as Moses [Drawn out] commanded.”
15 Asi shoko pamusoro pake rakanyanya kupararira; zvaunga zvikuru zvikaungana kuzonzwa, nekuporeswa naye pazvifo zvavo.
But the report concerning him spread much more, and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities.
16 Asi iye waienda kumarenje achinonyengetera.
But he withdrew himself into the desert, and prayed.
17 Zvino zvakaitika nerimwe remazuva, iye paakange achidzidzisa; zvino VaFarisi nevadzidzisi vemurairo vakange vagerepo, vaibva kumisha yese yeGarirea neJudhiya neJerusarema; nesimba raIshe rakange riripo kuvaporesa.
On one of those days, he was teaching; and there were Pharisees [Separated] and Torah-Teachers sitting by, who had come out of every village of Galilee [District, Circuit], Judea [Praise], and Jerusalem [City of peace]. The power of MarYah [Master Yahweh] was with him to heal them.
18 Uye tarira, varume vakange vakatakura munhu pahwanyanza wakange akafa mitezo; vakatsvaka kumupinza vaise pamberi pake.
Behold, men brought a paralyzed man on a cot, and they sought to bring him in to lay before Yeshua [Salvation].
19 Zvino, vakati vachishaiwa pavangamupinza napo nekuda kwechaunga, vakakwira padenga peimba, vakamuburusira pasi nemumapfuriro pamwe nehwanyanza hwake, pakati pamberi paJesu.
Not finding a way to bring him in because of the multitude, they went up to the housetop, and let him down through the tiles with his cot into the middle before Yeshua [Salvation].
20 Iye wakati aona rutendo rwavo, akati kwaari: Munhu, zvivi zvako wazvikanganwirwa.
Seeing their trusting faith, he said to him, “Man, your sins are forgiven you.”
21 Zvino vanyori neVaFarisi vakatanga kufunga, vachiti: Ndiani uyu anotaura kunyomba? Ndiani anogona kukanganwira zvivi, kunze kwaMwari ega?
The Torah-Teachers and the Pharisees [Separated] began to reason, saying, “Who is this that speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?”
22 Zvino Jesu paakaziva mifungo yavo, akapindura, akati kwavari: Munofungei mumoyo yenyu?
But Yeshua [Salvation], perceiving their thoughts, answered them, “Why are you reasoning so in your hearts?
23 Chii chakareruka, kuti: Zvivi zvako wazviregererwa; kana kuti: Simuka, ufambe?
Which is easier to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven you;’ or to say, ‘Arise and walk?’
24 Asi kuti muzive kuti Mwanakomana wemunhu ane simba panyika rekuregerera zvivi (akati kune wakange akafa mitezo): Ndinoti kwauri: Simuka, utore hwanyanza hwako, uende kumba kwako.
But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins” (he said to the paralyzed man), “I tell you, arise, and take up your cot, and go to your house.”
25 Pakarepo akasimuka pamberi pavo, akatora chaakange arere pachiri, akaenda kumba kwake, achirumbidza Mwari.
Immediately he rose up before them, and took up that which he was laying on, and departed to his house, glorifying God.
26 Kuvhiringidzika kukabata vese, vakarumbidza Mwari, vakazadzwa nekutya, vachiti: Taona chisionekwe nhasi.
Amazement took hold on all, and they glorified God. They were filled with fear, saying, “We have seen strange things today.”
27 Zvino shure kwezvinhu izvi wakabuda, akaona muteresi, wainzi Revhi, agere paimba yemutero, akati kwaari: Nditevere.
After these things he went out, and saw a tax collector named Levi [United with] sitting at the tax office, and said to him, “Follow me!”
28 Ndokubva asiya zvese, akasimuka akamutevera.
He left everything, and rose up and followed him.
29 Revhi ndokumuitira mabiko makuru mumba make; kukavapo chaunga chikuru chevateresi nevamwe vakange vagere navo pakudya.
Levi [United with] made a great feast for him in his house. There was a great crowd of tax collectors and others who were reclining with them.
30 Asi vanyori vavo neVaFarisi vakanyunyutira vadzidzi vake, vachiti: Nemhaka yei muchidya nekunwa nevateresi nevatadzi?
Their Torah-Teachers and the Pharisees [Separated] murmured against his disciples, saying, “Why do you eat and drink with the tax collectors and sinners?”
31 Jesu achipindura akati kwavari: Vatano havadi murapi, asi avo vanorwara.
Yeshua [Salvation] answered them, “Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but those who are sick do.
32 Handina kuuya kuzodana vakarurama, asi vatadzi vauye mukutendeuka.
I have not come to call the upright, but sinners to teshuvah ·complete repentance·.”
33 Zvino vakati kwaari: Nemhaka yei vadzidzi vaJohwani vachitsanya kazhinji, vachiita minyengetero, uye saizvozvo veVaFarisi, asi venyu vanodya nekunwa?
They said to him, “Why do John [Yah is gracious]’s disciples often fast and pray, likewise also the disciples of the Pharisees [Separated], but yours eat and drink?”
34 Asi wakati kwavari: Munogona kutsanyisa vana veimba yemuchato muwani achiri kwavari here?
He said to them, “Can you make the friends of the bridegroom fast, while the bridegroom is with them?
35 Asi mazuva achasvika, apo muwani achabviswa kwavari, ipapo vachatsanya nemazuva iwayo.
But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them. Then they will fast in those days.”
36 Akataurawo mufananidzo kwavari, akati: Hakuna munhu anoisa chigamba chemucheka mutsva panguvo sharu; kana zvikasadaro naichowo chitsva chinobvarura, nechigamba chemucheka mutsva hachipindirani nesharu.
He also told a parable to them. “No one puts a piece from a new garment on an old garment, or else he will tear the new, and also the piece from the new will not match the old.
37 Uye hakuna munhu anodira waini itsva muhombodo sharu; kana zvikasadaro, waini itsva ichaparusa hombodo iyo ikateuka, uye hombodo dzikaparara.
No one puts new wine into old wine skins, or else the new wine will burst the skins, and it will be spilled, and the skins will be destroyed.
38 Asi waini itsva inofanira kuiswa muhombodo itsva, zvichengetedzeke zviri zviviri.
But new wine must be put into fresh wine skins, and both are preserved.
39 Uye hakuna munhu anoti anwa waini sharu pakarepo akashuva itsva; nokuti anoti: Sharu iri nani.
No man having drunk old wine immediately desires new, for he says, ‘The old is better.’”
